I did the “pearl thing” my first time to WDW (during hurricane Nicole) at Disney springs. They had jewelry options to mount the pearl (my sister put hers on a ring). I put mine on a necklace. A Cinderella pendant-so not my normal vibe, but I love it.

adding another comment to say that I used to be a fairy godmother at the BBB (but on the cruise ships) and it's soooo magical. I know doing it in the castle is kind of a dream come true, but springs or cruises are much more calm and I feel like you get more time with your fairy. plus, on cruises you can revisit your fairy godmother at any time for some more pixie dust

I’ve done the pearl experience and it was so much fun! You just pick an oyster and whatever pearl is in there you keep. You can also purchase a charm to put it in and a necklace. I chose Cinderella carriage and it is a great memory from that trip that I took for my 21st birthday almost 8 years ago!

I just found out about the dolphin encounter recently!! It’s now on my bucket list. It’s a whole 2 hour experience where you get to go backstage and learn about the dolphins and meet their handlers, and you get to spend 30 minutes in the water with them! That one you don’t need to be scuba certified for, but the scuba diving in the big tank in the aquarium is the one you do 🥰

I have a vivid memory of an early 2000s trip with my family where we stayed at Boardwalk and rented a surrey bike and my parents immediately regretting the decision 😂 They are much harder to pedal than you realize and with 2 kids in the back being next-to-useless, I just remember them saying “we just have to do one loop to make this worth it.”

Totally agree with whoever said you were their comfort couple! ❤️We watch the same shows, we enjoy similar hobbies, and omg the deep Bobs Burgers reference in here gave me the giggles 😂 also the office reference since I watch that on repeat, especially the Superfan episodes!
I also listen to the podcast all the time and even though I love Disney I’ve only been there twice. One trip just to Magic Kingdom when I was 9 and one trip where we did 1 park each day in 4 days when I was 15 😳😮‍💨 I’m 30 now and I don’t always get all the references and soo many things have changed since I’ve been. Now I live way closer to Disneyland but it’s soo expensive! I hope to get there some day, but for now I love all the fun and magic of all your Disney videos and the podcasts truly show the great dynamic between the two of you! Couple goals! 🥰

Omg same with the “pearl thing” and then i took two of my best friends (they are a couple) to Epcot and they got engaged that day and decided to do it! I think there is a pearl in every single one of the clams but you get lucky on how big the pearl is. And so she picked one and they did the opening ceremony and then they let you if you want( but are pretty sales “y” pick a chain and a setting for the pearl. Entire thing ends up costing more than 100 if you turn it into jewelry but cool i got to see it happen!

Never have I ever stayed at a Disney resort. I have stayed on property at one of the Disney Springs hotels, which is so nice, but not at an actual resort/hotel. My husband’s family has a time share 10 minutes outside of WDW and it’s so convenient and much cheaper, but a Disney resort is a goal of mine. My dream resorts are the cabins at FW, riviera, or super cheesy, Disney nostalgia like all stars or pop for the kids 😂

I’ve stayed at shades of green a few times and it’s absolutely not worth it and nothing special. I’m active duty army so I can still get military rates elsewhere for the same or less than shades depending on the time of year. I could rant about this all day but long story short, it’s not actually run by cast members which is evident, the rooms are dated, you can no longer walk to poly for their buses or the monorail (which used to be the best perk), and their buses kinda suck. They only do 2 buses: one to the TTC, and one to AK, studios, and springs. Which means if you don’t have a car, you spend a lonnnnng time traveling. I could go on but I’ll stop lol
