Just got a Quasicade HD from Facebook Marketplace, and had these exact thoughts... good to know what I'm getting into, even if I just want to change the hideous button colors. 😂 Such a weird setup for these cabinets, but I can see what they were going for.
PLEASE come back and me know your thoughts. It's such an ahead-of-its-time relic I want to know what they got right and everything else that was a miss.
nice build but for monkey ball you have to do it right. get a naomi, net dimm, pi, and analog sega joystick, 3d print the banana is available. pretty easy just getting all together
"Hall effect arcade joysticks"
music to my ears.
I really look forward to your videos!
Yay! always good to see your comments Jon.
Great video, as always. Definitely the first time I’ve heard the phrase “Lubricated with oatmeal.” That will stick with me forever!
hah thank you!

OI wonder why you didn't go with a traditional joystick for the D-Pad.

Do you know if there is a standard part out there for the pressure-sensitive happ buttons?
Those seem like they’d be really fun to mess around with
