Nice video--and a great idea for a series! Personally I love the Magnums and tend to use them as long as I have ammo. They're probably my favorite guns in the whole TR series. :D
Katie I love this series! please continue on to do all the games, i really loved this and it brought back lots of memories, not to mention made me want to play TR1 again :D
I was looking for a TR weapons show-reel and found your videos. Damn I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't expect such an in depth video. You really know you're stuff. Awesome series of videos and thank you.
Hi Katie. I never knew how much ammo I needed to kill a bad guy and this video I find very interesting and informative and I can not wait for the next video. Have a great weeked. Lots of love. Steven.
Nice video--and a great idea for a series! Personally I love the Magnums and tend to use them as long as I have ammo. They're probably my favorite guns in the whole TR series. :D
I still remember how to get the Uzis on the Sanctuary of the Scion. If it wasn't because of a magazine giving a hint that it was in an invisible platform, i wouldn't imagine it by myself. My favorite weapon of the game, saving all of the ammo for the two Final Bosses on the Great Pyramid.
My favorites (In order) would have to be: Magnums, Pistols, Shotgun, then Uzis. The magnums are my favorite because they kill fast and effectively. Unlike the Pistols that take longer, shotgun that shoots slower, and Uzis that take the most ammo. The pistols are my second favorite mainly because they don't kill quite as fast as the other weapons but still give great fire power. Shotgun is my third favorite mainly because it's slow, but it does damage baddies the most per shot. Uzis are my forth favorite because they require the most amount of ammo to kill even though it's the fastest weapon to kill a baddie. I would only recommend the Uzis if you need to kill a baddie quickly.
Thanks for sharing! Agree about the Uzis, they go through a ton of ammo. I love the shotgun but if there's a bunch of baddies at once the reload time just can't keep up. I always have the pistols out when running around, and when something darts out then I decide if I should use something else or not :P
This was a very well put video! I loved using the uzis in Tomb Raider 1. I liked the sound effects it had in the PlayStation version (not so much on PC lol).
When people describe how many shots it takes to kill an enemy with dual guns, they usually mean double-shots, i.e. both guns are firing, but if Lara is locked on to an enemy and it gets into an awkward position i.e. behind her, she may only be able to shoot it with one gun, messing up the shot count!
Pistols aren't the only weapon available to kill the cowboy in Natla's Mines. It's possible to ignore him and keep going towards the room with TNT crates, and get the shotgun secret along the way. Then you can come back and blast him. Obviously it's not the most viable strategy in terms of health loss, but it's possible. Same thing with the T-Rex, you can grab the shotgun at the start of the level and shoot him to oblivion. Since I go for all the secrets, I stop using pistols entirely after finding the Magnums in Colosseum. Not even for bats. THAT'S how much ammo there is in the game. Give it a shot (no pun intended), it's fun.
Very useful video and an excellent idea for a series :) I tend to use the pistols for the majority of the game, even when I have plenty of ammo from other guns to spare. Or I'll use the magnums for slightly harder enemies and then use the uzis near the end of the game. The shotgun is my least used weapon, but I'll probably consider using it more after having watched this video :)
I remember the leg less mutant boss (also known as the Torso boss and the Abomination). My sister was fighting the boss on the Sega Saturn version. I think I tried my hand at it too. Neither of is could beat it. I thought it was scary. I thought you could kill it by having it fall off the ledge (you can do that in Anniversary). The silly thing about it is I thought that shooting it with the shotgun made it move.
My favourite overall weapon in tomb raider was the Uzis. I could do the most damage with those. Although, I found the shotgun handy at times, with the centaurs. I would still use the pistols though, if I needed ,to conserve ammo.
Not to contradict you katie, but if you head to the bridge behind the waterfall in the caves in the lost valley area, you will find the shotgun. You may have already found some shells before that. Its been a while since I played, but I remember that as I did the early levels allot. Play through it again and head to the back of the water fall and river before you go after the wolves and dinosaurs. The shotgun helps with the Rex
Thanks for pointing this out! Also discussing this over on the TR forums. I completely forgot about being able to get the shotgun before the T-Rex. This is where it's going to get a little tricky in the other games too. Assuming you found the secret or not. I think I might skip secrets assuming a "normal" gameplay but I also rely on save game files to help me since it would take waaay too much time playing the game start to finish getting footage. Unfortunately this is probably going to happen again in the following games, but hopefully as an overview of the weapons people won't mind :)
Ha, I actually got to kill the cowboy with the shotgun because I found the secret shotgun in the mines before I figured out where the pistols were stashed. Funny things happen when you don't pay attention to your surroundings.
Hey katie ! Im a huge tomb raider fan from algeria ive been playing tomb raider scince i was 7 and im soo in love with your videos .. and i cant waite to see more i just wish you could delever more news on the newest tomb raider (rise of the tomb raider) by the way what do you think about it , persenelly im exated and i think its gonna be finely a real tomb raiding game !!!?
Hi katie, and youtubers. The music in the background love it. Did anybody download the cd soundtracks from all the tomb raider games? It was available to download on planetlara.com a while back but I think planetlara closed down.
Hey, Katie! Remember when I told you about badassgamez and his reviews? Well, when you referred to the Atlanteans as psycho, it reminded me of how he calls them "Crazy Nuts Guys" because "they're crazy and going nuts all over the place" lol. Great review, Katie! Can't wait for your next video! :)
Definitely, if everyone's interested! I think I might host a poll to see which one everyone wants next. Doesn't matter to me if they're in order or not :)
I got a question for you. How long did it took you to pass Tomb Raider The Last Revelation the first time you played it? I'm asking you this because it took me 3 YEARS to pass the game since I got frustrated and took constant breaks from playing it, but the ending was worth it.
It always takes me WAY longer to play TR games because I'm stopping to take screenshots constantly. I forget what my total time was as its been years but I remember playing it for ages! I remember being stuck on the connected levels for awhile :P
I would have thought magnums would pack more punch, but after watching your vid, it seems that they're not as powerful as, say, the magnum from Resident Evil or Dirty Harry's magnum
I know this video is kind of old, but I have a SERIOUS question! I know I'm not crazy, I've played these games. There is a set of desert eagle pistols in one of these games, right?? I remember them vividly. I believe I found them in Venice. they are real right??
Nice video--and a great idea for a series! Personally I love the Magnums and tend to use them as long as I have ammo. They're probably my favorite guns in the whole TR series. :D
Nice!
Thanks Stella!
I prefer the Uzis but only when I activate the weapons/ammo cheat code. ;-)
Amazing Roundup and Analisys. Great Video!
The Archaeology of Tomb Raider I prefer the uzis too
Katie I love this series! please continue on to do all the games, i really loved this and it brought back lots of memories, not to mention made me want to play TR1 again :D
Thanks Sara! So glad everyone is enjoying it so far. TR2 is going to be a beast with 7 guns to go through! o.O
If anyone can do it it's you Katie
It's possible to obtain the shotgun before facing the t-rex. It's near one of the secrets in the level.
I loved the sound of the magnums in Tomb Raider 1. Could listen to it all day. I wish the Automatics in TR2 sounded more like the magnums in TR1.
I was looking for a TR weapons show-reel and found your videos. Damn I was pleasantly surprised.
I didn't expect such an in depth video. You really know you're stuff.
Awesome series of videos and thank you.
+ripoutyourprejudice Thanks so much! Glad you liked it :) Once I finish my AOD review I'll have to get going on my Weapons of TR3 next!
*****
I genuinely can't wait to see it. Thx for the reply.
+Katie Fleming YES, YEEEEEEEES!!! 💜💜
New video posted! The Weapons of Tomb Raider 1. This kicks off my new weapons series. Grab a snack, & enjoy!
Wow, sharp shooting review. How you manage to count all those rounds fired. ;)
Steven Schadek Pen, paper...tick, tick, tick, tick :D
***** haha, nicely done

this video gets recommended to me every few years
My favorite weapons are the magnums and the uzis from TR1 looking forward to rest of your weapons guide for the other games

Love the video! looking forward to your series with anticipation!
I'm so glad! :D
Great idea, Katie, always love your vids!
really like the new series! will come in handy when i replay tomb raider 1. nice review kate! :D
You can use Shotgun on TRex
CRAZY RAIDER. And on the cowboy I believe
Also on the Skateboard Kid
Very nice video. Would love to see a video of your top 5 (or top 10 tomb raider game), as well as a top 10 levels video.
This was a very well put video! I loved using the uzis in Tomb Raider 1. I liked the sound effects it had in the PlayStation version (not so much on PC lol).
I always use the Uzis on all 4 Tomb Raider classics. One of my favorites. :)

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I love how the earlier ones were non-linear, you can play however you want. Thanks for watching!
Thanks I think the duel pistols were my most used weapon the game is a classic though these days il play tomb raider anniversary
Very useful video and an excellent idea for a series :) I tend to use the pistols for the majority of the game, even when I have plenty of ammo from other guns to spare. Or I'll use the magnums for slightly harder enemies and then use the uzis near the end of the game. Same! I like having the pistols out in case Lara spots something before I do. Then if it's something really big I'll switch guns :D
You can use the shotgun against the skateboard guy. You can get it down near the lava flow after killing the cowboy.
My favourite overall weapon in tomb raider was the Uzis. I could do the most damage with those. Although, I found the shotgun handy at times, with the centaurs. I would still use the pistols though, if I needed ,to conserve ammo.

Play through it again and head to the back of the water fall and river before you go after the wolves and dinosaurs. The shotgun helps with the Rex
In natla's mines you can also find the shotgun before fighting the kid and bald guy but she didn't mention that. Probably because they're secrets
Thanks for pointing this out! Also discussing this over on the TR forums. I completely forgot about being able to get the shotgun before the T-Rex. its cool. but hey, Im lucky I found that shotgun (with out the cheats) took down the rex quicly.
darkservantofheaven Yeah! That's awesome. Another thing I love so much about the classics. There are multiple ways to get through a level.
Sorry, I meant his WALKTHROUGHS, silly me lol
Ha, I actually got to kill the cowboy with the shotgun because I found the secret shotgun in the mines before I figured out where the pistols were stashed. Funny things happen when you don't pay attention to your surroundings.
I love it :). You know so much about one of the best games ever created
I like the Uzis and the shotgun on tomb raider 1
Another great video! :D and great idea for a new series! :)
Thanks for the video!) always was curious about amount of damage that can be caused by different weapons in TR)
Pretty informative. :) you should consider giving tutorial videos on stuff like this. Loved the vid.
Hi katie, and youtubers. The music in the background love it. Did anybody download the cd soundtracks from all the tomb raider games? It was available to download on planetlara.com a while back but I think planetlara closed down.
You can use the shotgun against the raptors and t-Rex in lost valley
Do this for tomb raider 2 and 3
Haha! Nice :D Thanks for watching!
Could anyone tell me what's the name of the music track at 12:52 ?
Scarlett Savage Clip from Tomb Raider Legend's credits! Doesn't seem to have a particular name, at least not on the file I have.
***** Well, it's an amazing musical piece nonetheless. And thank you for the information. :)
Scarlett Savage No worries! Sorry it took so long to get back to you.
***** It's all good. :)
How did you figure those numbers? Amazing!!!
I counted :D And had a piece of paper to tick off every shot lol
Will you do an outfit debate for tomb raider 3
Definitely, if everyone's interested! I think I might host a poll to see which one everyone wants next. Doesn't matter to me if they're in order or not :)

You can definitely use the shotgun on the trex just have to go down the river before you encounter the trex
Amazing, thanks for sharing! 🙌
I have always thought the Uzis are the most powerful and effective weapon in TR1. However, your careful analysis shows me wrong =)
You're thinking Tomb Raider 3! I remember having them in the Nevada section
Oh thank you! I had a tattoo idea and can't find a picture of them anywhere and no one I knew knew what I was talking about! Lol yay! I'm not crazy!
Wow. This channel has changed quite a bit haha!

I love the Uzi's!!!
Pistols shotgun magnums Uzi's
***** Any friend of Lara is a friend of mine.
First of all I love your voice lol. Second of all, it’s clear that you don’t like uzis, judging by your other videos 😂
What?! No I like the Uzis! They just go through so much ammo I like to conserve them for later haha
Это просто супер !!!
uzis are the best. I like to shower eveything that moves wiht bullets:)
Nice video, Katie. Can I feature your channel on mine?
Thanks! Absolutely, that'd be awesome :)
Done
GameBro Thanks very much!
