Germany Politics: Ex-foreign minister elected as new president

Frank-Walter Steinmeier has been elected as Germany's new president by an overwhelming majority. The former foreign minister was chosen by parliamentary assembly. The German presidency is a largely ceremonial role, but is considered an important symbolic authority. Ira Spitzer has more from Berlin.
