No it has built in system that monitors the car battery v, in case it is at a defined low, then the parking system is switch off so as to not drain the battery.

They are from a specific distance, in good sunlight you can download videos and zoom in to see the number plates

Yes without the parking kit it will get power only when vehicle is on and will get off after few seconds when vehicle is off

No as it is common now a days, also as long as the main wires inside used buy the car is not cut or altered it is okay.
