This is literally the reason I started collecting Smash Amiibo! Having a real-life trophy table sounded awesome to me, so I went for it! After completing the SSB set though I'm done, since it gets crazy with how many Super Mario, Animal Crossing, etc. Amiibo there are out there...
We definitely need to do one of these videos! We're missing some cards, but have everything else with the exception of SOME of the precursor Amiibo--the Pokemon Rumble figures. We also have a lot of the things that went with Amiibo--the stands, the AC card binders, and the Japan-only dioramas. Loved seeing your collection! Amiibo Hunters unite!
I adore this video with just a casual convo about demystifying Amiibos. I only recently started collecting some of them myself, not as much to use in gameplay, but more to collect and display on my video set backdrop for my channel. It’s a great topic to cover as it relates to us collectors.

Actually the Animal Crossing Amiibos work with New Leaf after an update. They just show up in an RV in a new area and you can buy special furniture from them.

I admit i wanted the benefits of all the zelda amiibos while playing BOTW that i bought one of those Amiibo Card sets for like 15$ They fit in my switch case i just use them for zelda when i need them and slide them back in so much more convient then all the actual figures

Im a container handler at the port of charleston, about 2 years ago we got extremlly busy with ships. i was working 120-140 hours in 2 weeks, and the reason was the west coast port crane operators went on strike. this was the same time amiibo's were coming out, i was trying to buy them but the amazon prices were crazy high and the stores only carried a few or the same ones, so because of the crane operator strike goods from japan and other pacific countries had a hard time getting goods into the U.S. i heard some checkers talking and they said the shipping companies started to rail containers threw canada, but because of the high volume , customs just waived them there.
I don't have that much money for collecting amiibo figures, so I just bought a few blank white board plastic NFC coins and used my phone to burn amiibo data into them. they work exactly like the really amiibo figures/cards.
Hey Kelsey and Metal Jesus can you guys do a video on cleaning amiibo/collections in general? A lot of my amiibos have gotten pretty dusty over the years now and i'm afraid of messing up the chip inside by getting them wet etc
One thing you forgot to mention is the Fire Emblem Amiibo are arguably the most useful as in FE Fates & Echoes it allows you to get those characters in the games as members of your party. But this was a great video & it's awesome to see such a massive collection opened. I have a friend in Chicago with all of them, but they're all sealed.

Some of this collecting is OCD celebrated. I like collecting and gaming, but I also like to feel balanced as a human being. Meaning I focus on my overall well being by working out, proper diet, yoga, ect. I don't know any of you on a personal level, so, I'm just commenting on what I am seeing. I'm stealing this quote so forgive me, however, " Relying on things to make you happy is like taping hamburgers to the outside of your body and expecting to be full." Meaning happiness comes from within not from exterior inanimate objects. That being said I want a lot of the shit you have lol.

Can we talk about Kelsey's clear box protectors for a second? She always puts them in backwards. The closing tabs go behind so that the front of your box can be seen. She's done it for other stuff she's shown. Been meaning to let them know to fix it.
