1st time I watched the film, I was so happy Baijue came back at the end. 2nd time rewatched, I was so happy Shanggu got Baijue back. They are perfect together. 5th time I watched this, man Who else wanted to be in BaiJue's embraces ?

今天再看，還是感動，全劇最動人的一句話是「上古，我是白玦！」
im sorry for all my other favorite xianxia dramas, but this scene is basically the best scene of a xianxia genre that i have known 😍
i mean, the way shanggu regret everything that happened after she awakened , and the fact that she even questioned baijue's character and morale and hurt him with the most painful words she has ever uttered..
the fact that she knows now that he intentionally do that in order to embrace her responsibility as a chief of gods.. really .. and the way she just quietly and resolutely kneel in the frozen platform, all the way until however long it might take her to get baijue back (i mean , with a very big possibility that baijue has gone for good and never come back no matter how long she kneel...)
and , after 500 years, to no one living ever know, her prays got answered and baijue is coming back in his full form as true god.. attached with his memory with her for 70 thousand years of lifetime... ❤️

Zhiyan is right, the Ancestral God does like Shanggu the most. That's why she was made the Chief God. And that's why he made Baijue reborn as the Fire God again, just for Shanggu.

They should also adopt the sequel novel (Bai Shou God) about Yuemi and Tianqi into a drama and cast the same actor & actress for the role while the others can cameo. Tianqi & Yuemi are both good people with soft heart they deserve the happy ending not just in the novel but in the drama version as well. I really hope we got a Season 2 with Tianqi & Yuemi story this time. There is a novel for that already so just adopt it & make it as the S2.

The four true gods really have a significant role in the three realms. Baijue is the god of fire and when he took the tribulation and died, the three realm had only one season. And when Shanggu died in the first tribulation of chaos, the God realm has closed and the four true gods' weapon were needed to open it. I haven't watch the whole series so I don't know the whole story, so spare me if I'm wrong:)
Yes, you're right. The True Gods were born of Original Natural Sources so they represented what they were born of. But not for Shang Gu.
In the film, Bai Jue was born of Original Source of Fire, so he ruled all kinds of fire in the world (such as fire, heat, light, seasons of summer and spring,...). Zhi Yang was born of Original Source of Earth so he ruled all lands and soil. Tian Qi was born of Original Source of Demons so he ruled the Demon world. Shang Gu and Xuan Yi were not born of Original Natural Sources, they were "Godmade" by the God of Ancestor so they couldn't reborn if they die. And they also didn't actually rule any natural element. The God of Ancestor was born of Chaos to rule all the world, so Xuan Yi and Shang Gu also inherited that responsibility (actually because of their chaos power so they can rule the world but if they die, they will disappear forever).
In the original novel, Bai Jue was born of Original Source of Water and Mountain (that's why Qing Mu was born under the sea, that's Bai Jue's realm), Zhi Yang of Original Source of Land, Tian Qi of Original Source of Fire and Xuan Yi was of Original Source of the Underworld. Only Shang Gu was made by the God of Ancestor.

The series has 3 novel: the 1st named Ancient God Shang Gu (about Bai Jue and Shang Gu), the second named Hidden God Shen Yin (about Yuan Qi and his lover), the 3rd book named Bai Shou God (about Tian Qi and Yue Mi)

I love ALL the scenes and this is one of my favorite scenes. I think I've watched this ending 7-10 times and the entire series 8 times and the exciting parts that I love the most I believe 15-20 times already. I don't want really to make comments because it's gonna be a long winding comments from me. This TV series or Movie should I say is indeed a top-notch film. It's quality, production wise, the actors, their characters, Costumes, the lighting, the effects, the cinematography, the plot, I think the whole production, the whole film is a masterpiece. The dialogues, the story, awesome. Well and carefully planned and executed. There are other of this type of Movies that I have watched, but this one, I kept watching this film and I can't get over it. The characters of Bai Jue, Shanggu, Zhiyang and of course, the demon god Tianqui and Muguang, Yuemi, Zhiyang, Kylin, and everyone did their roles 110%. I think they are all perfect for their roles and they made their characters alive. Although, it's fiction but far better because there's heart in the story and characters. This is a job well-done and definitely a masterpiece. Thank you very much for this wonderful film. Love you always.

@@ally-chan2289 I heard from some comments on other clips of this drama that bai jue, after returning, don't have the power of a true god, meaning he is not as powerful as before since he already died. He came back but his powers is as a newborn god so he need to recover his lost powers and by the time he came back, yuanqi, his son with shanggu, already died to save his lover. Bai jue met his soul and he asked him to return but yuanqi refused to 😭😭
