Chelsea Greene nah I was just joking... but my point was that even though its just a word, some words need to be respected and not dropped flipantly on some youtube comment. It would have read much easier had you used "damn" or "fucking" both which are overused anyways.
It's amazing that straws make drinking so much easier for you and yet you are still concerned about the environment but there are so many people who don't NEED to use straws and don't care or think twice about the harm they are contributing to.
You’re a breath of fresh air! A very strong and beautiful woman with an upbeat personality and positive outlook in life. Thank you for sharing this with us and I wish you the best!
i wish i could introduce you to a patient of mine. he just recently had his amputations and i feel like his soul is amputated as well. how can i give him the hope to fight?
I absolutely agree with your idea of your patient meeting other amputees. Suffering is worse when we feel that we are suffering alone as in, that we are the only one or one of the only one's that this has happened to. I say the same thing for people that have lost loved one's, especially parents that have lost children. When people who have suffered the same thing meet one another, it seems to alleviate a lot of their suffering as they see so many others who are going through the same, and they share their pain together.
I agree with talking to other amputees (they have forums on facebook etc) but if it is only recent I think it is common to be incredibly sad, angry, scared, hopeless etc. My best advice is to start really small, when you loose so much, realizing the tiny things you CAN do can really help. think acceptance is key & letting the persons family & friends know that it is common to have a change in personality initially when going through such a traumatic event. Long term support is important too, I don't know what your job is but ensuring they have the relevant physio, OT, any adaptations to their house they need etc, a social worker might be able to help them get in touch with other disabled people however they might need to come to terms with their own disability before talking to other disabled people. Communication is key, people are effected differently, some like to talk about the future when they will be more independent & able to do more, some prefer to focus on the now. The important thing is you want to her this person, so just ask them how best to do that, either or options work well.
I love people who when given lemons make lemonade. From the looks of it whatever it is you are doing seems to be working for you. Much love FROM MONTREAL 🇨🇦
A good investment is steel/metal straws, they're reusable and don't harm the environment - love the videos so far, really interesting how you've come to adapt to your life and how skilled you are 💕
@@williewonder4928 bruh...really?... Man Idk how old you are but open your eyes, and see the beauty within. Remember, what goes around comes back around.
Did I ever say she wasn't great looking? Did I ever say she didn't have a good or great personality? No. Everyone here is effectively saying in summary: " She is beautiful and wonderful in every single possible way" or "I feel sorry for her." Both of which are rather insulting considering that ultimately you are treating her as less then a normal human by giving unfaltering praise or treating her with pity. I did the noble thing and simply gave an honest opinion. An opinion which simply states she would look a lot better if she had arms or legs. Learn to read objectively before commending angrily.
I was born 3 months early so I am underdeveloped. My arms can't straighten like everyone else's. This makes it harder to do things such as reaching for items, doing my hair and...what am I forgetting? Oh yeah! People patronize me. Life can get really tough sometimes because of the way I am built. Sometimes I think that things would be a lot better if I was like everyone else. But videos like this guide me through life and helps me love myself.
Andrew Grzeskowiak If ppl try to hate on you because of it, don't listen to them. Your life is probably even more interesting than their if they're talking about it behind your back.
Stainless steel straws are a great way to knock out your front teeth. I prefer reusable plastic straws. Easier to clean and you can see the inside unlike Metal ones that could be growing mystery mold you can’t see in the middle.
you’re right about plastic straws being bad for the environment, but since they are so useful try metal straws! you can put them in the dishwasher and reuse them. i have them at my house and they’re easy and much better for the environment!!
In just a few years there will be technolgy available to give you hands better than your original ones :) It's not really affordable yet, check out Bionic's channel! It's really cool!
Yes! This comment needs more views! I watched a video of an amputee man testing out one of those robotic hands. Truly miraculous. So excited for these people.
Alright, tirapalla I go to Georgia Tech and have worked in a research lab with neuro-prosthetic. The technology is already there. I'm not sure where you are getting your information, but please enlighten us with your insight.
Austin McDaniel I am happy to hear that you have information that you can share with us regarding neuroprosthetic technology. This is excellent news. When can we expect these breakthroughs to be available to the public?
There is already plenty of research that has been available to the public. As for product releases that's not something I can directly disclose, but to say it's not going to happen any time soon is extremely pessimistic and inaccurate.
kkatlynismyname you dont hurt your teeth and gums just by chewing on them, unfortunately. That would be super easy to avoid. But they can knock against teeth and gums during normal use (especially if you use them whilst focusing on something else, or every use your mouth and tongue to "find" the straw - in other words, most people) and damage enamel and chip teeth. If they slip, they can cause quite bad lacerations to your gum and cheeks.
There are some cans with very tight flips. I can't slip my finger underneath and I have to use something like a beer opener to stick under it and put it up.
Your such an amazing per. You show that even someone with something that could be considered a disability, can stay strong and do the impossible. Your such a lovely person and your so inspiring.
I had this video in my recommended and was wondering what the freak quadruple amputee is (Im not native English). And one second in I was like so shocked I couldnt move forreal, but then this inspired me so much how you are and your attitude a how you cope with life that is so amazing great video! Just WOW!
Really interesting to see how you do things. The knife to open a can was an 'oh I actually do use that method sometimes but I never would have thought of that' moment. Interesting to see things outside the box. Thanks for sharing and spreading awareness by educating us more.
Ramisa Maliyat they're also a place for bacteria to grow because how would she be able to use the brush to clean it properly like that's just too much hassle
Rising Stars I live in the UK some houses don't have space for one, neither did my first house in the UAE, the apartment did and my old house did but there's no room in the house I'm in now, hand-washing is more common
It says a lot from you that even if it makes it easier to you to drink with a straw you are thinking about not using them if it’s not extremely necessary because you care of the environment. When I see many people asking for a straw when they buy drinks just bc if they want them. They actually don’t really need them. And I hope it does not sound rude or mean but it’s so lovely really to see how, you that you may need that straw more than them, think more about our planet than other people. Sorry English it’s not my mother tongue in case I had write things wrong. But I try my best. Girl I do really wish you the best in life cause your kind soul deserves it!!!

The other day I got a slushy and they gave me a paper straw! It went all soggy before I even tried it! And yet…they gave me a plastic cup. Well done 👍🏻
erika the fact that you need to use a special brush to clean it properly and did you not think that might be difficult for her to do and might be an added hassle that isn't worth her time?
Jadey feeling bad about using straws and not using them as much as she wants isn't necessary either. Whoever does dishes could wash the straw and if she happens to wash dishes then great! Maybe she COULD use the brush, it's not wild to think that she could. She's capable of much more than you or I think as it is, it's only a suggestion. No one is forcing her to get a metal straw, chill.
erika I didn't say that she can't, I just said it's something not really worth her time and I think ur the one who needs to chill all I tried to say is that it's dangerous for bacteria growth?
Isabelle Weall, I just discovered your video and liked your life spirit. My wife was blind and crippled; she had eight joint replacements, her right leg amputated - and toes on her left leg, she had artificial eyes, and a myriad of other severe medical issues. In spite of all that, she managed to live a full and incredible life. At first sight, everyone could easily see that she was severely disabled, but within moments, we had to remind them that she was blind and crippled; she had such an overwhelming presence that everyone forgot that she was disabled. Her artificial eyes ($7,000 apiece every three-years) were so real looking and moved like normal eyes that people who didn’t know her thought she was rude for not looking them in the eye, waitresses would insistently hand her menus until we told them she was blind.
I always loved it when she called out, “honey, could you put my leg on, or honey, could you put my eyes in. I dressed her and took care of all her hygiene needs. I was a lucky man, I had my very own living barbie doll. The only thing she did that I hated was making me take her into Victoria’s Secret to buy lingerie; my wife was only 4’-5” and a few unfortunate people thought she was my daughter; boy, did she set them straight. One of the things we would often laugh about was that her family and friends would call her with all of their problems, like she was their therapist. She really loved telling kids about her life, often the parents would cringe at some of the questions their kids would ask her, but my wife always gave them wonderful answers, and parents always came away feeling enchanted. In spite of her difficulties, she lived a wonderful and happy life. You have that kind of life spirit. When you come across a man that has no pity and cherishes you, marry him. Oh, just in case you are wondering, we meant in 1980, in college; we were married for thirty-four years before she passed away; well, we are still married because I married her forever; true love never dies. You can read about our story at: epluribusunum56.com/home_life.html about haft way down the page is a picture of me wooing her for her hand in marriage. Live well Isabelle in your unique journey of life…
did you ever looked into 3d printing for printing like a customisable prosthetics for like brushing hair and stuff? Nowadays 3d printers are cheap and you can always get to local makerspace for that
Omg, Isabelle. You are such an inspiration to all the other amputees in the world. Don't ever be ashamed of your condition. You are fabulous. I love your shirt and your accent. I love your jacket.
Shes not strong because shes an amputee... she had no choice but to accept it. Shes strong because of how shes able to deal with it. I would have been dead or atleast wasted af everyday teying to cope with selc pitty... eventualy i would find a way to kill my self... dont no how with out hands or feet though... thats my head and im glad shes not me.
What is one thing you wish you could do or wish was easier? I ask because I have a patent pending for a device for helping people who are disabled. 😉 (You wouldn't be able to find any info on it for a while, but in about 18 months you should be able to find "HUDAR" on the USPTO website.😊)
Andreas Egger it is the HUDAR: HUman raDAR. You won't be able to find any info for ~18 months. Basically though it tells a blind person when there is another human around and where they are.
Seeing this and seeing how amazing and smart you have been to come up with alternative ways to do things makes me feel bad about all the things i have taken for granted... Much love to you Isabelle stay strong :)
I've been watching your videos for a few months, but today was the first day my 4 yr old son saw one of your videos, and he was immediately full of questions, so thank you so much for your educational videos like these. I really appreciate being able to show them to my son, so hopefully he can grow up with a balanced view of disability
Because she wants to do less damage to the environment but still be able to function. So we are all just giving her ideas to keep the functionality but ease her from feeling guilty about the straw use. It’s an important thing to talk about and people only mention it out of love and to help. If you’re referring to straws in general. Because they are a huge contributor to waste in the ocean. And people use an extreme amount of plastic straws in their lifetime. Hope that helped.
Because she literally said she tries to limit her straw-usage because she's concerned about the environment, but that they make it easier for her. People are offering ways for her to be able to use straws and drink easy without having to be concerned with her waste output... they're just trying to help. Why you so hung up on everyone else trying to help a girl out?

I still don't know how she did that, I maintain to this day that she must have been using the Force.
What about a video of things you can do, that people with all of their limbs can't do? I'm only missing a leg but I have a neat one I can do.
Wowww. And good idea
Legman688 what is it?
Oh wow that is amazing! People always find a way through stuff which other people would find impossible. Cool story, and yeah deffo the force hahaha!
I have much respect for you. I was born without hands and only one foot and so never missed them. It's a whole other thing to lose them. Your attitude is amazing. I also love the fact that you don't where prosthetic arms. The sense of touch is so important, why should you give it up? I'm curious though, why don't you cut your sleeves?
She’s soo beautiful
the brother in the backround when she was opening the can LMAOOOOOO
I know he’s desperate to be featured 😂😂😂
Isabelle Weall you should do a brother sister video q&a would be great. P.s you are so beautiful and have such a cute smile . You and your brother both have dimples it's so cute 😍 all my kids have them too and they make me smile just seeing them. You are inspirational the positive attitude you show it is incredible. Your parents must be extremely proud 🤗.
How could anyone dislike isabelle she is lots of inspiration she is very open about her disabilities and she is so nice!!!! And she does not care about the haters I love you isabelle😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
you see, i wanna help people like you izzy. i wanna be a biomedical engineer, and basically what we do is we build machines and/or prosthetics. i am very driven to make peoples lives easier if they are amputees.
I hope you acheive that 😄
Girl, you are absolutely beautiful. Keep up that glowing positivity, the world needs more of it
She honestly is an attractive girl!
i just freaking love your attitude! So god damn positive. :)
Chelsea Greene its cringy when you use that languange in the context that u did. Perhaps leaving out Gods name would make it easier to read...
Luke Allen I don't believe in god. Sooo ... I'm just using a word, not a name. But apologies if you're offended by the use of the word.
Chelsea Greene youre going to hell
Luke Allen oh thank god! And I was worried the afterlife would be cold :) 😂😂😂😂
Chelsea Greene nah I was just joking... but my point was that even though its just a word, some words need to be respected and not dropped flipantly on some youtube comment. It would have read much easier had you used "damn" or "fucking" both which are overused anyways.
there are actually companies that make glass straws that you can just put through the dishwasher to clean!
a s There are plastic too... Mine has a giraffe on it. And it's pink.
I don't use it often though.
It's amazing that straws make drinking so much easier for you and yet you are still concerned about the environment but there are so many people who don't NEED to use straws and don't care or think twice about the harm they are contributing to.
What the hell you're 14?!?!?
Sidnie Carrillo I thought she was like 18-19 😳
Here, 14yo look like 10yo from america then LOL
The Smokey eye makeup look she’s wearing prolly. Smoking your eyes always makes you look a bit older and adds a sexy feel to the face
Bad Vibes Only I thought the same thing😂😂
Sidnie Carrillo i was thinking the same.. She looks like 20+yo
You’re a breath of fresh air! A very strong and beautiful woman with an upbeat personality and positive outlook in life. Thank you for sharing this with us and I wish you the best!
Greenfrogg55 - yes i know, which makes her more impressive.
she's 14, she's a kid (an extremely brave one of course)
i wish i could introduce you to a patient of mine. he just recently had his amputations and i feel like his soul is amputated as well. how can i give him the hope to fight?
Jessop that's harsh.
Aww, I wish him/her best of luck, I hope they do well.. 😇
Jessop you are a coward and selfish. Think about your friends and family. Youre genuinely sick.
I love people who when given lemons make lemonade. From the looks of it whatever it is you are doing seems to be working for you. Much love FROM MONTREAL 🇨🇦
A good investment is steel/metal straws, they're reusable and don't harm the environment - love the videos so far, really interesting how you've come to adapt to your life and how skilled you are 💕
omg you are so gorgeous!
I thought she was an adult.
is it dodie yellow though? Ikrrr
is it dodie yellow though? Yeah she don’t deserve it
Ikkr
what do you mean?
I sincerely hope your channel gets popular. You're just so awesome!
You are gorgeous. And I mean drop dead gorgeous. Wow
Except for the whole "no arms or legs" thing then sure.
And just like that Willie admitted to the world they were lonely and depressed.
Learn to read objectively before commending angrily.
... willie are you trolling or stupid?
anyone thinks she's soooo cute?
sherry. Indeed she is.
Shes hot
I was born 3 months early so I am underdeveloped. My arms can't straighten like everyone else's. This makes it harder to do things such as reaching for items, doing my hair and...what am I forgetting? Oh yeah! People patronize me. Life can get really tough sometimes because of the way I am built. Sometimes I think that things would be a lot better if I was like everyone else. But videos like this guide me through life and helps me love myself.
Skierz 13 people are judgemental and refuse to admit their flaws... Quite often. Despite your "disability" that people may see, you're perfect.
Oh my gosh! Thank you!
Andrew Grzeskowiak If ppl try to hate on you because of it, don't listen to them. Your life is probably even more interesting than their if they're talking about it behind your back.
Tim Wilson Is that what that means?! I probably can't...
the god No
You can buy a metal straw, which is reusable and recyclable!
Ellie McCarthy I was going to suggest this as well.
It would be difficult for her to wash it tho, if she gets the plastic to recycling it would be no problem to use the plastic
Max DJ recycling the plastic is good, but a stainless steel straw is reusable and can go right through the dishwasher.
Stainless steel straws are a great way to knock out your front teeth. I prefer reusable plastic straws. Easier to clean and you can see the inside unlike Metal ones that could be growing mystery mold you can’t see in the middle.
omg... this is the first video i saw from sou.. i love your attitude and you being so.. wow. respect. i have lots of respect for you. :)
love ur positive vibe despite ur situation. respect to u and much love
you’re right about plastic straws being bad for the environment, but since they are so useful try metal straws! you can put them in the dishwasher and reuse them. i have them at my house and they’re easy and much better for the environment!!
If you’re looking for eco friendly straws, get yourself a set of stainless steel ones (super cheap from amazon!!) they’re fab 😊
You're 14 wow you still have amazing life ahead of you god blessed you for sure never let people tell you can't do something when you know you can
I have probably a pretty obvious question.
How
do you like school? Do you have a favorite subject, or is it just a case of getting through the day?
I Suck at Gaming *edited*
In just a few years there will be technolgy available to give you hands better than your original ones :)
It's not really affordable yet, check out Bionic's channel! It's really cool!
Yes! This comment needs more views! I watched a video of an amputee man testing out one of those robotic hands. Truly miraculous. So excited for these people.
tirapalla and how did you come up with that conclusion? Teach us, o wise one.
You look not 14 at all! But you r so pretty tho
wait! shes 14!?
Jenna Marmalade yes!
omG i did not know she was 14 wow
@@luminousxii I've come here looking for this xd
CALL THE POLICE
Awwww the way you move your arms around in expression is so adorable 😭
You should get reusable metal straws!
or glass straws
They're absolutely terrible for your teeth.
+Erin they also exist in bamboo
Erin are you chewing your metal straws...?
kkatlynismyname you dont hurt your teeth and gums just by chewing on them, unfortunately.
On my phone, I can say "cheese" and it takes a photo. I have an Android phone though.
who cares
SmashedBanana Starzinger everyone who cant use their arms for whatever reason
Hello Romis I have that as well. Samsung phone. Though mines like from 2011, I'm surprised all phones don't have this yet
SmashedBanana Starzinger wtf
SmashedBanana Starzinger 185 people apparently
Your a very strong , encouraging , positive and outgoing person . Cheers
my own 14 year old daughter could take a leaf out of ur book u seem so happy generally and that melted my heart all the best in life
You could try to switch to a stainless steel straw or so, it's washable and you wouldn't produce any waste :)
There are some cans with very tight flips. I can't slip my finger underneath and I have to use something like a beer opener to stick under it and put it up.
Ma Sato
I always use a teaspoon,much easier.x
I use my teeth. Lol
Incredible young beautiful woman.
Thank you
Isabelle Weall
You are so welcome. God bless you.
Just WOW!
Wait, she's only 14?! She looks like she's 20...
I love that you care about the straws affecting the environment, just so you know you can buy reusable metal straws!
Really interesting to see how you do things. The knife to open a can was an 'oh I actually do use that method sometimes but I never would have thought of that' moment. Interesting to see things outside the box. Thanks for sharing and spreading awareness by educating us more.
There are metal straws. They are reusable and not harmful for the environment. You can buy them.
Ramisa Maliyat they're also a place for bacteria to grow because how would she be able to use the brush to clean it properly like that's just too much hassle
Jadey dish washer
Rising Stars most people don't have one
Jadey really? i thought it was quite common. i suppose it depends on whereabouts you live.
Rising Stars I live in the UK some houses don't have space for one, neither did my first house in the UAE, the apartment did and my old house did but there's no room in the house I'm in now, hand-washing is more common
How do you deal with your period
Ava Akers rip
That's actually a really good question 😮
Good grief
That is a good question I have my limbs and can't deal lol
Ava Akers wait, she’s only 14? Dang, I thought she’s like 18 or something.
Wow you are very inspiring. Keep up the good work. And keep your smiling 😊 greetings from Germany.
Great attitude, a positive reinforcement to others. Yes you’re a beautiful young woman.
no way you're 14!!!!! I'm 18 and I look like 14... we should switch places hahaha
bwahahahah no you dont...who told you that???you look 35
I dont think so. Hehe
Noup, you look like 18.
Shots fired
No way I'm 30 and look like a 10 year little boy.. amazing..
This comment section is disgusting. Half of it is women telling her she's pretty as if that's even important. She's so many things other than pretty! And half of it is disgusting men making inappropriate and disrespectful comments at a 14!!!! year old!!!
I thought adapting to eyesight issues and RSI was a pain, but you're in a whole different level! You're so inspiring!!!
Your are so beautiful!!!!!
Thank you
Isabelle Weall :)
Yo nice name I was just about to comment this as well😂 but I’m 18 so no no no no no
the fuck is your problem
Soma Molnár what the fuck is that selfie tho
The other day I got a slushy and they gave me a paper straw! It went all soggy before I even tried it! And yet…they gave me a plastic cup. Well done 👍🏻
Have you considered investing in a reusable straw? They make metal ones and you could take it places with you/keep it in your bag 😊
erika that's one way to get a build up of bacteria lol
Jadey haha I bet id be easy to forget to clean it, but you use reusable dishes and cups all the time, why not a straw? 😉
erika the fact that you need to use a special brush to clean it properly and did you not think that might be difficult for her to do and might be an added hassle that isn't worth her time?
Live well Isabelle in your unique journey of life…
you are gorgeous. adorable and so cute.
MOUNTAINOUS l
You're such a sweet person, I really want to give you a hug for a long time.
did you ever looked into 3d printing for printing like a customisable prosthetics for like brushing hair and stuff?
Nowadays 3d printers are cheap and you can always get to local makerspace for that
Omg, Isabelle. You are such an inspiration to all the other amputees in the world. Don't ever be ashamed of your condition. You are fabulous. I love your shirt and your accent. I love your jacket.
you are a strong inspirational pretty girl
💖💖💖💖💖🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Shes not strong because shes an amputee... she had no choice but to accept it. Shes strong because of how shes able to deal with it. I would have been dead or atleast wasted af everyday teying to cope with selc pitty... eventualy i would find a way to kill my self... dont no how with out hands or feet though... thats my head and im glad shes not me.
What is one thing you wish you could do or wish was easier? I ask because I have a patent pending for a device for helping people who are disabled. 😉
(You wouldn't be able to find any info on it for a while, but in about 18 months you should be able to find "HUDAR" on the USPTO website.😊)
Ooo good idea for a video
Isabelle Weall what would be a good vidio?
Liam Hodge I
Which patent?
Andreas Egger it is the HUDAR: HUman raDAR. You won't be able to find any info for ~18 months. Basically though it tells a blind person when there is another human around and where they are.
Seeing this and seeing how amazing and smart you have been to come up with alternative ways to do things makes me feel bad about all the things i have taken for granted... Much love to you Isabelle stay strong :)
I was born without my left hand. I just don't know how you do it YOU GO GIRL!!!!
You should get a steel straw if you font want to waste plastic! It lasted wayyyyy longer and you could just rinse it out and reuse it!
This was in my recommend but I don’t regret it at all I love you so much and you’re gorgeous😍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
You’re extremely pretty and your voice is so cute ❤️ I just had to subscribe
I love how mundane all these tasks are and that your still a normal person despite your condition. Love you
Oml your hair is acc gorgeous wth
Kawaii Cookies but can you can open if you can have both arms to can can open?
Big Lenny no I just can't open a can bc I have longs nails oml 😒
Kawaii Cookies thanks, very cool!
Came for curiosity. Stayed for the adorableness.
You're 14? You're so charismatic and beautiful!!!
I've been watching your videos for a few months, but today was the first day my 4 yr old son saw one of your videos, and he was immediately full of questions, so thank you so much for your educational videos like these. I really appreciate being able to show them to my son, so hopefully he can grow up with a balanced view of disability
Why is everyone so hung up on the damn straw like Jesus
Francis Light because she doesn't deserve to have to do things the hard way, we are just helping..
Why you so hung up on everyone else trying to help a girl out?
weird question but how do u close the bra strap clasp or put hair in a ponytail
A great investment might be reusable metal straws
You are such an amazing young lady, just so resourceful and courageous. I'm so glad you give us the opportunity to get to know you through your videos!
