After watching your video till end, I came to this reflection about myself comparing to you. Im born muslim, prays 5 times aday, fasting alternate days and do tahajood everday, Yet when compare your tawakal and eman, you are better 10 fold tham mine. What you gone thru by fellow muslims, increased your tawakal and eman rather than leaving Islam. I cried while writing this thought. I sincerely hope you have a much better life now and may Allah reward you with Jannah

That was hard to listen to, although it has been two days since I watched the video. My heartbeat was beating fast when I was listening. I felt pain deep inside it was heavy on my chest. I'm still unable to stop thinking about your words, especially the last 10 minutes, so I decided to leave a comment to stop thinking a little bit and feel better.
As an Egyptian, I can easily relate to your story. I live in Cairo close to “El-Hijaz square” I can also guess where you were being held. From some of the details you mentioned.
Back to those days, It was a phenomenon...
The police (Amn daulah) were taking hundreds of people randomly from time to time illegally to interrogate them sometimes those who had beards and seemed to be religious, after the detention and interrogate the person for days sometimes for months or even years and nobody from his family know! When they want to release him they will come up with their stupid usual response "Oh, it seems we made a mistake in matching your name or face with someone else"
Sadly, a long time ago, Egypt had a black history with human rights and still is. Not only in the Arab region but globally
    P2
And for the people who tortured you, wallahi they will meet their torment in this world and the hereafter, and you will see that with your own eyes on the day of resurrection. They will be tortured in front of you. They will ask Allah's forgiveness, and Allah will not forgive them until He takes revenge on them for you. Because Allah has forbidden injustice on himself. Those cowards, may Allah’s curse be upon them, will not obtain Allah’s mercy on the day of resurrection. Because they were tyrants merciless to people and did not fear Allah. And, there are lots of verses and hadiths that confirm this.
    p3
I have been following you for nearly 2 months I watched your story and how Allah guided you to Islam in the prison, years later he tested you in the same place with the same thing but from another dimension.
Congratulation for holding your faith and not losing trust in Allah.
Even though I am a practicing Muslim al-hamdullah but wallahi akhi (brother) I don't have this level of "Iman" mashallah, Allahuma Barek, This is proof that it is something you gain through tests not by birth.
Finally, I want to thank you for sharing this story. I really appreciate the courage and steadfastness that you have. I ask Allah Almighty to make everything you do in the balance of your good deeds and raise your ranks for everything you went through and make you a guide to Muslims and non-Muslims, may Allah (SWT) grant you Jannah al Ferdous without reckoning. Amen
    Thank you.
If I came to America one day, visiting you will be on my list.

Ok, Lazughli. I was thinking of another prison also close to Mugammah El-Tahrir
Lazughli, was underground cells in a place called the headquarters of the State Security Investigations and it was one of the worst prisons. It is also very close to Mugammah El-Tahrir, about 10 minutes by car.
By the way, the detainees at this time are the ones who gave its name attributed to where it was located, but the general name was “the headquarters of the State Security Investigations”

How great is Islam that even in the darkest of situations you can find meaning and purpose in the suffering? No other system or religion can do this. When Allah loves someone he puts them through trials and tests like the prophets. None of them had an easy life. So Muslims should stop using Dunya as a measuring stick of their happiness. As you said, the Dunya is temporary. As Muslims, we have the truth so we gotta live in this world as travelers with our eyes on the final destination - Jannah!

That was very stressful to listen to. During that time, "Amn Dawla" in Egypt did whatever they wanted to. During those days, you would be on a list if you just pray Fajr in masjid. Perhaps that was the main reason you got on their scope.
The more terrifying fact that all the people in that cell probably never saw the sun again. And I guarantee that their families never knew what happened.
BTW it didn't change that much with current regime. Egypt is a Muslim country but not the best place to practice Islam freely.

Reminds me of a group of young men who went over to Egypt over a decade ago, who were prisoned for being spies...These men were muslim of south asian decent...One of the young men was connected to our external family...They treated them with contempt, wouldn't allow them any food, visits even from their lawyers wern't allowed to see them, they were tortured for months and months...It took 2 years for the trials to take place only because the families from UK made sure a trial took place so they can get them iut of there, by the time they were exonerated it took so much out of the young man he became so ill and unfortunatley passed on before he even saw his family again😪...That broke my heart...Since than the name Egypt sends shivers down my spine💔
I can see the pain in your eyes...Allah almighty surrounds his beloved ones, his warriors with strength of fortitude and truth...Surrender in these type of circumstances shows true faith...
Alhamdulilah you are here today to share of the lessons and wisdom you have experienced...I pray Allah tabarak ta'ala has guided the hearts of those who implemented the attrocites on you, through your suffering and courage...There is a reason for everything that happens to us your suffering will not go to waste inshAllah ta'ala🤧🤲...The best teacher is he/she who has suffered and experienced life at its worst and made it through to become a guide and teacher for others...You are destined for great things🌹

What an awful experience, Egypt has been a police state since the 1950s and it gets worse by time, Today under the Sisi it's the biggest and worst police state in the middle east, As of right now there are almost 68,000 Egyptians held for political reasons or for exercising their human rights with torture cruel and inhuman conditions and no visitations, Now adays in Egypt if you're gone you're gone for good.

Can't believe how people treat an outsider like this in the name of mistaken identity. It's a lesson for all believers to comprehend that just believing in Allah is not enough to be a Muslim. It's most important to act too as a Muslim as commanded by Allah . We are answerable for each act of ours. In the name of interrogation one should not be humiliated in such a manner, there should be some human dignity maintained. May Allah bless you with more courage and endurance and accordingly reward you in Jannatul ferdous.

Indeed, just prophet Yunis (thu-noen ذو النون) in the stomach of the whale , he called to Allah: لا الله الا انت سبحانك اني كنت من الظالمين. This duaa we say when difficulties come.
"But then he cried out in the darkness: “There is no god but You! Glory be to You! I was of the wrongdoers!”

    Dear brother Ali!
I just watched until the end.
May Almighty Allah reward you richly in this life and in the real life in the hereafter!
It's obvious that we can't speak about a muslim and a not muslim world. Nowadays Muslims live all over the world: in the USA, in Russia, in China, in Korea, in South Africa or even in Egypt. But also there Thalemoon (=wrongdoers, harmdoers) all over the world: in the USA, in China, Australia, India but even also in Mecca and Medina.
I love you in Allah brother Ali.

I can imagine many of the Muslims by birth especially those who speak the language of Quran how they will be put to shame on the day of judgement when ALLAH tells them you couldn't keep your faith while my slave Maliki has endured so much to keep his faith and he was not born Muslim, and he didn't have the luxury of being fluent in Arabic.
I am so afraid that I will be one of them because I watch all your videos and I am just amazed by what you are going through and still put on that beautiful smile. May ALLAH bless you and your family and may ALLAH guide your parents and you siblings to the truth.

First of all your story is very inspiring and I am amazed by the strength of your Imaan. May Allah reward you and grant you the highest place in Jannah. I couldn’t understand why they continued to treat you like a criminal despite admitting that they made a mistake. It appears that they never had a rational reason to torture you and didn’t care. They might have some frivolous reason as Egypt is a dictatorship now like North Korea. They released you because of American pressure and they said sorry just to make you comply and calm you down.

28:14 in case you don’t know, Egyptian State Security officers during the Mubarak era travelled to Cuba and intensively trained U.S. soldiers on torture techniques against detainees. Many of the State Security torture techniques are currently used at Guantanamo.
