Kraftwerk was so ahead of the curve. Got hip to them in the early 80s with Numbers and ManMachine … Wasn’t aware they were already making waves in the early 70s. Much respect, and indeed Rest in Power, Florian! ✊🏾✊🏿✊🏽
I got hip to Kraftwerk around 1970/1971 when I was 14 or 15 years of age with their first two LP's, Kraftwerk Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Both are uploaded on RUclips.
I have this record! I got it at the store I worked at in 1984 to 1991. German import...only played 1 time to record it on tape. I love this record!!!!!!!
This album, Mike Oldfield Hergest Ridge and Tangerine Dream Stratosfear graced my 70s teenage turntable, soothing me to sleep many a night. While I loved Autobahn and Trans-Europe Express immediately, Radioactivity to a slight lesser extent, I really did not care for Man-Machine or Computer World for many years though I did finally come around. In hindsight I believe it was a rejection of the Disco movement that largely took over the airwaves in the late 70s.
To clarify, I rejected disco, this album preceded the disco error. I do like Man Machine and Computer World now but still do not care for Moroder with exception of his Midnight Express soundtrack. In a similar vein I loved The Bee Gees folk era but loathed their disco Saturday Night Beaver shift. I can listen to some disco music now but find much of it boring and repetitive like the dance moves that were popular in that time period.
You may very well be right, but before assuming that every piece of modern music ever created has a relation with any drug, I'm happier thinking that perhaps our mates simply liked pineapples and wanted to celebrate that.
Kraftwerk s first 3 albums should be on Spotify!
Why ? it is not ?
@@clincpb8903 nope
@@clincpb8903 wikipedia says the first three albums have never been re-released anywhere
The fathers of hip hop.

1973... I was 14, living in the Swiss boondocks. Within a few months, I bought this LP and "Future Days" by Can...

They did punish Machines and recorded the Sounds from late 60s onwards

Agree!
Hergest Ridge is my favorite Oldfield. He has remastered it but give me the original

The Pioneer !
They are good lads.
Relaxing.
If you weren't in the zone by the time this came on, after all the amazing previous tracks, you would never be . .
What is the full album?
It's called "Ralf und Florian".
Ralf sporting the Skrillex look already in the 70s 👀
The birth of ambient music
I think tangerine dream was the first
This is like one of the first ambient songs ever made, and it still holds up so well, true genuises
wonderfull post-exotica... rest in peace Florian [*]
i dont know why, but this track is for me the birth of ambient, chillout music
Il y a un climat, une atmosphère, ici que je ne trouve nulle part ailleurs...
Perfect track for a Spongebob episode
Maybe this song was a reason that SpongeBob lives in a pineapple. :D
Spongebob takes acid

Way ahead of it's time.
Nope, right in its time.
I felt a nostalgic impression.
and so it began... I wonder if they had an idea of what they started
"Hula, Hula-Kraftwerk" Live In Honolulu.
Bellissima ❤️
They made Ambient music WAY before Brian Eno took synthesizer in his hands.
OY! Eno learned from them! LOLS!!!
Eno was already playing a synth in Roxy music in 1971.

It's a modern bolero.
From the people who made synth-pop a thing, basically.
è un peccato che non incidono nuovi lavori, probabilmente suonando dal vivo, rende maggiormente
whats the point in pouring it all out when youve got to wear it on your coat
Ananas(in eng. Pineapple) may be a slang for LSD.
Ralf and FlÖ used to take LSD (if I'm not mistaken) before Kraftwerk was created.
