Thank you, I purchased one of these cats yesterday and nearly had a heart attack when I opened it. Your tutorial has helped me to figure out how to put it together.
When I first unboxed mine (I got the tuxedo cat version of this model), I put off starting because the instructions seemed less friendly than a proper Lego kit. But once I got into the rhythm of it, it was fine. I even put all the pins in at each layer - I would say it really did make a difference to the structural integrity, and I trust the thing not to fall apart if my real cat knocks it over.
Brilliant. Both me and my son had puzzled faces to match yours when looking at a thousand screws and then the instructions. I'm glad you figured out the four legs to start with. We were trying to stack the blocks. Thankyou!
Hi. I just did this one and used the pegs too. I know what you mean, they’re very fiddly but (1) they did alert me at least half a dozen times when I’d done something wrong as the pegs wouldn’t fit through (2) I think you may have used the wrong size pegs on your video, they click in very securely when you use the right size (3) I had 10 days to isolate because of Covid so it was quite satisfying to use up so much time with the super fiddly pegs. Anyhow thanks for the video, I was totally stumped by the instructions until I watched you put it together 😊
Great job❣️ Just recently saw an ad for Jekca and was curious... I am a 🐈 Lover and always looking for unique 🐈 themed pieces❣️ After watching your video... I am definitely considering one❣️ Two 🐾s up❣️ 😸
Looks really cool but very fiddly especially with the poor instructions and bags not being numbered. My daughter has about as much patience as me so think may opt for the new Lego cat.
I got the stretching cat and I'm only 1 page through it and the pins are really hard to put in (only some though) and the screw driver should be bigger and also all the tiny pieces just came in big bags of the colours
Was given one of these last Christmas, the Dolphin, (someone won one as a prize but gave it to me knowing how I love modelling), started last night then gave up as the plastic screws made for a seriously tedious experience. Not something I would consider buying tbh.
That depends on if the ratio between length, width and height are exactly the same or at the most insignificent different compared to a LEGO Brick. If that's the case then a 1 on 1 copy works fine. e.g. nanobricks have the same or almost the same ratio as a LEGO brick, despite being smaller. I Build one in real LEGO and it came out fine.
Sounds like their rep was something of a narcissist. Everyone knows a good quality company accepts constructive criticism as feedback is essential to making good sales.

Thank you! Great review, this is exactly what I was looking for as trying to decide if I want to get someone one of these as a gift.
I think it might've been easier just to adopt a real cat!
AirborneSurfer trying to build my daughter's huge panda. Wow🤯🤪😡
I'm almost done 😁🐼 one more day👏
Daniel Silveira oof u that must be hard for ur child I’m trying to make one too but I don’t understand what the green ones are
THEN WTF IS THE PURPOSE OF LEGO
WE USE LEGO TO BUILD STUFF
NOT LIKE STRAIGHT UP BUYING THEM
@@karrotizhealthyyou also buy Lego, what’s ur point
Beer goes well with LEGO ( and I presume Jekca) assembly, and a nice choice of beer :)

I’m here after opening my own box, looking at the instructions and going ‘Um. What?!’
I want to build a cat. Where can I take instruction?

So how's it going?
@@D.G.W.L prolly still isnt done with how shit the instructions are
Hello how long you take
Mine did not come with a screw driver :/
I wish someone would do a lemur and show how to do it on video I've done the giraffe 🦒
Wooooooooooooowwwww
Omg this is so cool
I'm curious to know, how many pieces is it total?
the website says 1840 pieces, tho that *might* include the bag of pins that i didnt really use
The cat is soooooooo cute
OH MY GOD!
I bought one of these and I built it
How was it
i'm curious how do the jecka bricks compare to a lego sized brick/plate?
Michael Rinaldi Sadly they are not compatible, being slightly smaller than LEGO.
Ochre Jelly I'm planned on trying to make one out of Lego is it all plate sized pieces
Michael Rinaldi theyre sorta between brick and plate, not the same ratio as lego, so a direct copy wont look the same.
