I love the looks of the Desperado, the back half looks like a 1930's Buck Rodgers blaster. It will be interesting to see what the community does with this one.
Awesome review! With the dart gate removed, it beats the bobo innovations revolver hands-down. Can’t wait to see your follow-up video to make this a 90fps semi-auto sidearm. 👍
Before this video, I had little interest in this blaster. Now…I gotta have it! I want everything that Dart Zone is putting out lately. Great blasters and great prices.
this blaster i think honestly will completely replace the hammershot as an HvZ standard loadout sidearm. the FPS isnt as impactful for that game type but the versatility is monumental. we finally have a truly semi auto springer sidearm. now if they make this bigger, make it mag fed and a longarm, that will replace the pump springer next. it absolutely is a perfect sidearm for lighter loadouts. i still prefer my nightingale because it simply outclasses it in capacity but if i were making a non squad dependent "civilian loadout" for either an HvZ or a nerf milsim event, the desperado would be my go to every single time
The funny thing is the stock take up is lighter then my big rig Mega XL blaster and that thing is so nose heavy with tiny grip... Like I don't feel the take up on my desperato unless I try to be smooth and acurate. Then again my 80 year old grandma could not shoot it or cycle it. But yeah get a spring to get it to shoot 200 FPS then you'll be needing to have hand days.
That will be a blaster i will buy, when it will be available in the EU for a fair price. :) On the first look, a spring swap or a spacer would be an easy mod. Cool video
If anyone remembers them, this blaster reminds me of the old spud guns. You would stab the small barrel into a potato and squeeze the trigger that looked exactly like this one, and blast out a little potato pellet. Cheap and a lot of fun. This blaster moded could be pretty fun.
This actually looks like a veeeery servicable sidearm! Saw one in my local Walmart and I realized "oh. Ooohh!" I'm grabbing two when I can, my only regret is that I won't be able to back-load the cylinder, but with two six-shots I don't think I'm gonna struggle with reloads, especially since it probably won't be a primary.
woah..70~80fps? will buy this one.I like these types, especially in small pistols.Hope someone should make one with some kinda reducing gearing or levers to ease the firing mech with larger plunger tube and springs.
A great overview of this awesome little product. For under 10 bucks, everyone now has a reason to keep all those standard-length darts around. In the past few months, I have purchased the Max Outlaw, Nexus Pro X, Aeon Pro x, and recently the Venom Pro -- that's almost $200 in DZ plastic! BUT this cheap, little, low-powered off-the-shelf handgun is TWICE THE FUN as ANY of the others -- for inside play, at least. The Nailbiter is no longer my favorite standard dart blaster. I'm gonna get an armful of these Desperados! It's EXACTLY the simple double-action blaster I wanted it to be. We should all hope this is a new trend and DZ makes a pro version using this simple technology. Crazy that double-action isn't more of a standard -- single-handed play without the annoying motor racket. Desperado is a gem!
Nice review, it looks like another DZ winner. I wanna tinker with this it for sure. I wonder if any companies have experimented with using gears in the trigger system to lessen the force it takes for each pull. 🤔
When I hear of the desperado, I love the idea of not having to pull something back to shoot and instead to have strong grip strength because when I have a nert battle with my friends I kinda Squeeze the handle
I absolutely loathe that style of dart gate. Not only does it add friction, but the spring is strong enough to bend darts. My dual revolvers from a few years ago mangled darts
I got to try out the Desperado & Lancer during NerfSG's 15th Anniversary & both blasters were SUPER fun to play with, both are easy to use with some power behind them, i definitely recommend both blasters if you like the look or how they work!
i do wonder if it would be possible to add the cylinder rotation to the trigger release to reduce the fatigue or if that would be too difficult to the return spring
Yo I used this for the first meetup of the club(which is also a Larp using nerf guns as representations, as it's a cyberpunk themed larp) with a couple of my boys and holy crap this thing is a steal for like 10 bucks. I REALLY hope we see more nonpowered semi-autos. This I only see as a good thing to work out the forearms AND get cardio runnin around. We NEED more blasters like this. I want a Rifle next. The only problem with Desperado is that you kinda drift the barrel a bit by squeezing if you're not holding it still with your other hand. A rifle with a foregrip would negate that, I believe
Just picked one up today. Fires great; will remove that internal part and see how it handles, but so far, I honestly think this is a great starter pistol for younger kids just getting into the hobby!
Already plastic and color matching the max pro line... It's like dart zone knows what they are doing... I wonder.. if the two new releases can get upgraded to pro fps 🤔
I’m sure we’ll be able to 3d print a good half dart or 12-18 shot inline half dart cylinder for this too. For the price it is, it’s a great starting point
Lucky for you it can in fact fire short darts, and if you get them to taper in the barrels correctly, 2 short darts will fit in one barrel. So you have a possible shotgun pistol here as well.
Would make for a cool HvZ backup or maybe a Masterkey (wish masterkey mega still got some love at HvZ events... seems to be all rockets and mega XL these days...)
Great video which the promise this blaster made is what got me fully back into Nerf after 20 years! And now I have it in hand It devliveres so nmuch for a common $7 blaster... Like it shoukld be the best springer deuk welider, high quality, acurate if you can handle the take up and follow though... Yes a Jolt/Aglity are more powerfull but both are single action... However I feel the main down side is the reload, holster carry becuase the trigger is lighter then most blasters just longer... and it will shoot/cycle even when reloading like it needs a safety switch bad and I want a swing out cylender like my old mavicks... But yeah if your carefull and keep the blaster aimed downward it should be find but still coming from airshofter it's scary.
There are 3d printed tapered cylinders out there for the Hammershot. (The whole cylinder is sort of conical-shaped, making it easier to load half-length darts, while still allowing full-length darts, as well.) I'd be intetested to see something like that for this blaster. Also, has anyone fiddled with adding a forearm brace to a double-action blaster like this? Just a short one to help stabilize the blaster while shooting. Would any added accuracy be enough to be worth the additional bulk?
Adventure force is a Walmart brand, they rebrand Buzzbee, X-Shot, Dart Zone and others. The Triggerfire is a BuzzBee blaster. He clearly said it was a “DartZone first”. So basically it’s DZs first dual action blaster, regardless of the Walmart house brand having it from other toy makers before.
@@LucasTigy2it’s actually shared by a multitude of toy companies. If you pay attention to the brands in the Walmart toy aisle a lot of generic toys like cars and playsets are labeled under the Adventure Force brand, it’s pretty interesting

Now imagine a short dart shooting desperado that hits around 120-150 fps. now THAT would be amazing. And then dual wielding them in an HVC battle lol.
ca-CHUNK
Dart zone and X-shot both knocking it out of the park lately. This is exactly what was needed, and inexpensive to boot.
I actually love this blaster. I carry it back and forth to work with me every day 😄. Thank you for the video. Take care.
Bro showed us internals so matter-of-factly lol. Great videos man! I’m definitely getting this!
Lol love the over the top editing 😂 its like the same music and transitions typically used for Lamborghinis or MTv cribs but for a dart blaster 😂
Awesome review! With the dart gate removed, it beats the bobo innovations revolver hands-down. Can’t wait to see your follow-up video to make this a 90fps semi-auto sidearm. 👍
I feel like a rear load half dart mod would be pretty easy! Nice review as always!
Thanks for giving us the review. Looking forward to the mods/springs you got for this gem. Keep up the good work dude.

A review of the N1 Infinite would be appreciated; because there's already a short dart conversion of it and it is beyond worthwhile at that
Blasting some foam AND training gripstrength?! count me in!

Definitely interesting that they went back to those mechanics. Never had the nailbiter but tempted to pick up this blaster.
I love the blitzfire, so im super excited to pick up the desperado.

I also think if you give it a half pull so the barrel rotates, then finish the pull to fire, will get you a little better accuracy 😄
100% and you need to be smooth with the take up and follow though... Like the despertion is exclant but you can cuase it to miss easly.
woah..70~80fps? will buy this one.I like these types, especially in small pistols.Hope someone should make one with some kinda reducing gearing or levers to ease the firing mech with larger plunger tube and springs.
Looks like it’ll take retaliator springs!!
Triple N, you bloody awesome. Keep up your hard work I'm always watching your videos 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Impressive (when the dart gate is removed) for such a system.

I'm Desperate-ado for this to go on sale in my area!!!

Such a cool blaster! Too bad we won't have it in Europe 😭.
Still not at my Walmart or anywhere near me, but I desperately want one! I need to get a Snapfire 8, it’s the only Dart Tag blaster I don’t have.

I so want to make a tribute to clownie nerf assault maverick with this.
A Hammershot replacement maybe?
Yes!! Perfect review!!!
This blaster has potential to be a very good sidearm if you can push it to 100+fps with half dart

Socks in your dominant hand and one of these in the other!

plz do mod video

The Nerf Dartfire was a pretty good double action revolving dart blaster & water gun. Do you have that one?
I bought two to dual wield
What brass barrel would you recommend?
Standard 17/32 would word great!
love your videos!
I'm just wondering what is up with that thumbnail? It's gotta be a callback to a movie cover or poster, right? Or an album cover?
Also, I love how you do hits on the target. My eyes can't always track darts on my phone and it helps having the hit points show up.
There was an Antonio Banderas movie called desperado, i think.
Hi
I hope somone makes a stock for it
im try and pick this up soon !!
You’re going to love it

The Lancer offers nothing new. Not a fan of the design. This desperado seems cool though.
saying the adventure force desperado was the first feels a bit weird when you were holding the triggerfire in your hands just a bit before
