I absolutely love charlotta... definitely my main.. her build with full quick cooldown and cascade / holy knight luster is amazing. Like dark, it is crazy how fast she can see saw through bosses. Ill be using charlotta as my main when i get access to terminus weapons, but thanks to this ill be able to get get build ready, thanks, and a characters that i would love to see added are Yuel and Nier, they both might be interesting to play as
A very well put together guide. Nice work! I'd like to offer my own two cents and some build tips from my own experience. Of course, so much of this is personal preference so YMMV. Bwware; wall of text incoming. As a Charlotta main myself, I find a build focusing on cooldowns to be my favorite kind of build for her by far. In real, practical play you're going to want as many tools as possible to put you back into Noble Stance without having to do the basic square combo to put get back to it (though that is just going to happen sometimes; don't sweat it). So many bosses are mobile and going to force you out of Noble Stance to chase after them. Utilizing one secondary on your sigils for Cascade and three to max Quick Cooldown does wonders and IMO is worth the sacrifice (though an argument for using only 1 Quick Cooldown could be made, I prefer to squeeze this one for all it's worth). Assuming you use a slot for Cascade you can even max Cascade's effect from there with a simple level 4 trait on a Wrightstone since it maxes out at 20 (assuming you're using her Terminus weapon, of course). I like putting Drain as the other secondary effect on her Wrightstone as Charlotta hits so often and Drain caps out so easily that even at a low level you're getting most of the effect of it. No need to use an entire sigil secondary on it for the vast majority of its benefit, and it can top her off from chip damage quite easily while in Noble Stance or using Sword of Lumiel. Fishing for a combo of the Cascade and Drain on a high level Wrightstone can be tedious, but if you're AFK farming anyway it isn't *too* bad as long as you aren't gunning for a max level combination of the traits. Oh, and like DarkHero I also end up using Improved Dodge and Potion Hoarder (shocking, I know) because they're just so universally useful. That's the foundation of all my builds for Charlotta, but from there you've got some variation. Putting aside the obvious points of hitting max on Damage Cap sigils and reaching as close as possible to 100% on Crit Rate, you can either skew yourself for as much damage as possible or strike a balance with a *lot* more survivability. For damage focus the usual suspects and philosophy applies -- it just depends on how close you're wanting to get on hitting those combo finisher damage caps and how much you're willing to invest to reach that. I personally don't think it's worth investing too much on them since it limits the versatility of your build (and while your goal should always be to get your combo finishers in before you utilize either Shining Onslaught or Sword of Lumiel, it won't be your most common attack), but there's nothing wrong with the gorilla philosophy if that's your jam. I personally like to use a Stamina and Crit Damage occasionally paired with a Tyranny (I go back and forth on this one), but just invest as much as you're comfortable with so long as you're capping most attacks. You can also use the Combo Booster sigils effectively; I just have an aversion to damage being predicated on the situation. If you're going ham on damage focus, grab those three Supplementary Dmg V sigils and plug them in. Obviously War Elemental, too. Like I said, it's as you'd expect. Very unlikely you'll have room for more, but if you do sacrifice a Supplementary Damage or two you can always use Linked Together, and maybe squeeze some nice benefit from the Uplift secondary. Semi-related tip: Using Charlotta's Invincible skill during the last bit of a boss' Overdrive gimmick (if they are damageable during it) and going ham on the boss while equipping just 1 level of Uplift can often slide you ahead in SBA gain and cause you to be the first in line to initiate a SBA chain, potentially ending a fight more quickly. It's good stuff. Now, for the defensively balanced approach, and what I think might be my favorite way to play Charlotta. if you're going for a more balanced approach I'd still recommend using one Supp Dmg V sigil. You still get something like a 42% chance for the effect, which is the largest numerical benefit you get for the sigil. Still worthwhile, I think. Moving on, you'll want to make room for a Stout Heart sigil. That one unfortunately never comes in a + variety so it's a sacrifice for the versatility of the build, but then again very few of us have Supp Dmg V+s anyway so it's the same thing, practically. With Stout Heart in the build you can focus on getting Steel Nerves as a secondary on one of your main sigils. This is a flat damage cut (up to 15%) while you have Stout Heart active, which you always will with the Stout Heart sigil. It even maxes out at level 15, so level your sigil and you've got the full effect. We're not done, though. If you're still on board, you can slide in a Stronghold V into your build (which *can* come in a V+ variant in Curios, but are super rare). This is a scaling defensive buff that scales with your current HP. So at full health, you have a larger defensive bonus. I like to use this while also using Stamina in my build since it puts both my offense and defense on scale with my current HP. It really makes you want to keep that green bar high! Oh, and if you're utilizing Drain in your Wrightstone like I suggested before, you can easily top off quickly from little hits. And many hits will be little with this combination of sigils since all these def bonuses stack. If you're a real defensive madman you could also put Crabvestment Returns in your build, but I personally don't run it. I find I'm quite happy the performance without it, especially since it's another sigil without the potential for a secondary effect. But it's an option and also stacks with your def bonuses, so I thought I'd mention it. The reason I advocate for the balanced approach at all is because this combo allows you to maintain Noble Stance more easily. You can simply stand your ground and hack away through smaller threats, draining HP back from every hit of Noble Stance all the while. And you won't be interrupted thanks to Stout Heart. If you maintain your cooldown focus at the same time like I recommended, you'll have your skills back up nice and fast to chase when you have to give Noble Stance up. But naturally, it's a trade-off. So just decide what matters most to you...or do what I did and build them both! I've still got a bit of room to improve both builds though, so the farming goes on. Good luck!
I like how many build options she has. Her spin finisher damage cap is so high it's basically impossible to reach so you can always build her for more damage, or you can max out her cooldown reductions to stay immune and weave finishers as much as possible, or you can make a really tanky drain build to improve her survivability and uptime instead.
Picked her up as my main and learned her combo very easily. I am now mastering her cancel animations for optimization and it is a ton of fun. Rise up all fellow potato enjoyers!
The advice to have ATK boost from Sigils is pretty bad. I've done the maths and it's only giving you about ~100k more damage on Power Strike Lunge (if all 5 hits land), where you can deal 600k PER HIT without the ATK boost anyway. It's entirely not worth 3 Sigil slots to deal 3.1M damage instead of 3M. Players should take Defensive Traits instead and/or Cooldowns instead.
The secondary parry spinning attacks also count as parries for Holy Knights Grandeur, which is a pretty big reason why you should always run both of Charlottas unique sigils as you often hit those on accident while spamming parry spinning attacks on the boss. Especialy good on Furrycane enrage phases or during either/and Galanza Magliel bossfights. A lot easier to time too as your safer in the air.
Personally I think focusing on maximizing her vertical spin is kind of a trap. I prefer to just cap the rest of her kit, and load up on utility. During actual play I can still get it to very respectable damage with buffs and debuffs, and I've got so much space in my sigil loadout for whatever I want.
So are her rotations all basically just revolving around the jumping combo finisher? Do you ever just spam knoble stance normal attacks, or is that sub par vs the combo finish>attack finisher?

Really lowkey hate it that need to allot 4x dmg cap, then another 3x slots for supplemental dmg. I think those sigils slots should be separated or downsized to give way to other sigils -- creating more variation on diff builds
It feels weird, you keep referring to "noble stance" like it's an attack. Especially when you say the heavy attack (right click) is the same in, or not in noble stance. Noble stance is just an attack buff for your weapon. Of course they would be the same. This continues on for most of the video, like "Noble Stance" is supposed to be a combo finisher or an attack, when its just an attack buff. The way you phrase it in the video is really jarring.

Charlotta is generally better cause she doesn't need as much DPS build time compared to Yodarha, going to Noble Stance in just a few seconds is quicker and the fact that in the middle of this 'optimized' combo you have a decent amount of i-frames through Combo Finisher. Invincibility skill is pretty great as a crutch when you're beginning to familiarize with the game and the character herself but this is honestly not needed in endgame as most people will know how to dodge/get around boss mechanics and some boss mechanics that are really hard to dodge/guard are locked to the hard damage cap (when your damage you deal to the boss is a bit darkened and you hear the 'sound whenever you guard an attack' effect when you hit the boss, idk the actual term for this) or there's a niche use to it like bringing overdrive to an end quicker or pumping SBA gauge quicker. Bringing 50% dmg cut, which iirc is the highest party-wide dmg cut in the game, with a decently quick cooldown (especially for Charlotta having Cascade) is a better choice for a slot - even then in endgame where speedrunning each stages is usually more important than overall survivability, it's usually better to just get another attack skill since Charlotta also has a lot of survivability even without those (parry and her gap closer also can be used as a retreat) Running them TOGETHER is pretty redundant unless you want to play tank, which can be reasonable but Vane is simply a better choice for a defensive one due to his potential party-wide Invincibility, self-heal and provoke skills, built-in Stout Heart, and other buff skills or Vaseraga for an offensive one for his pure nuking potential (albeit slow attacks), built-in Stout Heart, Undying and provoke skills. Thank you and I appreciate your videos. Keep it up. Looking forward to your next one, whenever it comes out.
