      Thanks! I do like the look of boxes lined up on a shelf and I’m definitely too cheep to buy boxed games these days!

      @@RetrogradeScene I'd have ruined it by trying to cut the card on a table saw 😉

    hi, love the video but may I ask what kind of paper you used to print the game cover?

    Haha - love the duck out of the way of the craft knife. This is such a cool idea. I love it. BTW - Corel is pronounced Cor-ell ;)

    This is a very well-done tutorial. As impressive as the boxes are, I think I was more impressed with how you rasterized the logo and art elements! I'm still a beginner in that realm, so I guess I was surprised to see it.
    I've experimented with using a spray sealer, but I didn't find the results to be anything special. I had much better results by either laminating the printout first, or by specifically using a glossy paper from the start.

      Thanks!! I’ve never had much success with gloss paper but I think that’s more of an issue with the paper I’ve chosen and the printer I’ve used. I hope you have more success.

    I’ve been making my own boxes for a few months now, and I’ll definitely try the wood glue trick! White crafting glue is messy hahaha
    How on earth did you get such clean renders of the box art?

      I just spend way too much time editing the images!!

    Great video! Only question I have is; why not print directly on to cardboard or is it simply that carboard that can go through a printer is too thin compared to a cereal box?

    • @RetrogradeScene
      @RetrogradeScene  4 года назад

      Yeah exactly that, when I was experimenting with techniques I tried printing on a few different things but found this always gave the best look and feel!

    No wonder you don’t have time to release more videos. Great box though!
