    Sophie, I love how you talk about your favorite things and why you choose what you do. And backing off and letting your children be who they are. There is a charm about that. Your children are only small once. And you have to enjoy them in that moment. It is fleeting. Your home is lovely. By the way... I think it's just fine having six tree's in your home.

    I have to say thank you for sharing your lovely home with us all. Also Ava’s tree is so lovely. It will be exciting to see what lovely choices that she will make for her tree next year. I think she will have a very discerning eye like her mommy.

    All beautiful trees and I can relate to wanting to ‘touch up’ your daughter’s tree, but good you let her do her thing. I get the same character trait from my mom and even though you mean well, sometimes a daughter can take it as if what she’s done is not good enough. I know I sometimes found it hurtful, so I hold back now on such things. Wise choice Sophie 😉 The perfectionist in us wants to get all over it, but the mom in us has to let them learn & grow. Merry Christmas to you all & thank you for your beautiful videos and inspiration ☺️🇨🇦🎄

    The formal living room is so "cold" even with that gorgeous fire and mantle, and the lovely tree. The furniture feels stiff and appears "cold". One can only imagine how it might feel when the fire isn't present.
    The trees in each room are really quite lovely and, although I'm not personally a fan of traditional, the husband's study is so warm and inviting, and the tree was both elegant and cozy, which is a very difficult combination to execute.
    The daughter's tree is just adorable. How LOVELY that she is able to style her own tree in the manner she enjoys, and I hope you have loads of photos, and ample video for her to look back on, which will help trigger her early memories when she is older. Otherwise, the brain will prune those dendrites away, and she won't be able to recall them later in adulthood.

    Of course your trees are stunning. And your outfit change just in time for the party! ~ As for this Royal Historian lover from America, that Hampton Court ice skating would be the BEST CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE EVER. It would top all gifts contained in jewelry boxes, whether Cartier, Tiffany, even Harry Winston. Had no idea skating, at Hampton was even a thing. Sharing it was truly magical. Thank you.😘 Merry Christmas. PS> Ava you are so right. The bottom all in row is perfect!

    I got rid of our tree stand completely. Instead, I got a small square decorative pot from Home Depot, a bag of Sakrete, and a piece of PVC pipe. I placed the pipe in the pot and poured the Sakrete around it using a level to get it straight. Once it dried (overnight), I was able to place our artificial tree in the pipe, and no worries about our big goofy lab knocking over the tree. Super easy to do, and very cost-effective.

    Well, your trees are lovely. However, there is a gay couple in Old Preston Hollow(Dallas, TX) who routinely have 9 trees in their home. They had an upside down tree, a snowing tree, a tree in their powder room, and the main tree had over 100K of Chistopher Radko ornaments on it. They start decorating in Sept. INCREDIBLE.

      @@sophiepatersoninteriorsltd He sounds like a keeper! In a very platonic way of course! I used to stay with a host family in the States when I was a child and they invited me over for Christmas (Christmas in New York!) when I was 10. I had my own Christmas tree in my bedroom too. A wonderful way to indulge the mystical world of a child! 🪄 Loved all of your trees and their individual styles. I don’t have a tree this year, I’ve decided to bypass that particular tradition and have decorated my substantial variegated Monstera instead. She’s looking gorge, if I don’t mind saying so myself 🥰 Wishing you and yours a lovely Christmas x

    Your Christmas outing looks like such fun, and so...NORMAL! There is a definite 'Pre-Covidite' look to it all. It's so nice to see you all celebrating the Christmas season sans masks.
    Your home is stunning. It must be such a pleasure to decorate for Christmas :)
    The smell of real trees have my heart (I'm waiting on tenterhooks as I type for my husband to arrive home with ours from a local Christmas tree farm), but the falling needles can be a pain... Some species hold their clothing better than others, but keeping them in water makes an enormous difference.
    I'm buying a potted tree this year, which will eventually grow big enough to bring indoors. In the meantime, I will look out for a realistic faux one...so long as I can still have something with the authentic scent inside the house, so I can't tell the difference ;)

    I bought my first faux tree this year, funnily enough from Balsam Hill. I paid the extra for the pre-lit version and was disappointed. The lights looked like they'd been put on by someone wearing oven gloves. They're the clumsiest fairy lights I've ever encountered. Next year I'll be removing them and putting on something prettier. However I did take your tip about the tree base and have ordered a lovely basket to pop it into. I'm sure that will help to soothe my poor shattered nerves

      @sandyhopper6619 2 года назад

      @@sophiepatersoninteriorsltd Well, I have the same dimming problem with my Candlelight LED Balsam Tree European Fir tree. Because it is LED non dimmable you cannot use a rheostat to dim the lights. When my tree is lit, my husband can read his book WAY too easily without any other lights in the room turned on. I have not tried this; but, am tempted to, and that is to paint beige nail polish on the light bulbs to reduce the brightness. This is not an original idea . . . you can find it on the internet.
