You adore everything about Greece that you see on the internet. I lived in Greece ever since I was born and I am from Greece, when you live here for long you will understand why. Most jobs don't pay you well, people here will be bitches and probably talk behind your back and only be nice when they're tryna sell you something, school systems suck tbh, no matter who you are or what you do you will definitely get bullied, a lot of Karens everywhere, a sh1t ton of racism especially if you are black or Asian, saying slurs is normalized, physical and mental child abuse is normalized and a lot of greek parents abuse their children, there are thiefs almost everywhere, almost everyone drinks and smokes to the point that when you are an adult and don't do either people are surprised also even children drink and smoke sometimes and a lot more. I'm not saying you can't enjoy Greece it's just that it isn't the paradise everyone thinks it is

Those "bread rings" are really popular at the Balkans! In Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia and Montenegro they're called "đevrek" (pronunciation: like a fast dj+évrék) Most people use it as a fast breakfast with a cup of yogurt ^^

My parents are both from Corfu and settled in Montreal. We are very lucky as we have a very extensive Greek population which allows us to have a large variety of markets and bakeries not to mention restaurants. Everything she ate we have here as well.

I absolutely adore Greek pastries, I haven't had a single one yet that I didn't like. I LOVE loukoumades, there's just something about fried dough soaked in honey and cinnamon that is just magical and delicious. 😍 I have never seen the feta stuffed bagel pastry before though, I really want to try it now!

Now she's working on a cruise ship and she actually has a big cabin to herself! -most cruise ship staff have to share a super cramped cabin with at least one or two other people! Her meals are also provided on the cruise and the perks she has from this job are actually mind blowing! So anyway I guess my point is that she's clearly in high demand as a professional singer/performer because these big companies are literally falling over themselves to provide her with these amazing living/working deals! And her social media platforms are all super successful! This girl is being offered brand deals galore! Lol 😅 so she's earning awesome money though both her singing job and her online influencer job. So although food tours sounds like a great idea and potentially super lucrative, I don't think it's something she needs to do aside from the fact that She probably wouldn't have any time to commit to something big like that... She'd be great at it though, she's definitely a "people person" who's suited to jobs like that... Like, she'd also be a brilliant Disney princess!

The thing with Turks being so ignorant of history sometimes is irritating..Baklava was firstly seeing in ancient greece as plakous (πλακους) or koptoplakous and then it was also a dessert in the Byzantine empire. Of course throughout the Ottoman years there were some exchanges in every cultural level and the name baklava was given throughout those years,but the dessert existed for 1500 years already.
