Love these kind of videos, as someone who loves all gear I've recently started trying to invest in equipment that improves efficiency, lasts long and makes me money. Thanks for sharing your knowledge again!
Another great video Scott, thank you. It does go a bit awry at ~14:38 . Jumps to black screen and then seems to revert back to a recording for your intro.
Your studio access plug is lower in volume than the rest of the video. Just as an info for future videos 👍 And on the side note: I am so thankful for all of your information. Its the best you can find for free anywhere!
I would definitely like to see a review on on the Fuji, especially used as a portrait camera, running handheld, and autofocus performance. Unfortunately I have to lean on AF because of astigmatism, and I doubt I'm the only one in that boat.
Set up as a pro still life photographer in 1988. Still using the same Bowens monolights and quadmatic 1.5k & 3k packs & heads. That stuff is built like a tank. However, I never adapted my Sinar P2 to digital. Really miss using the Sinar. First digital body was the 6 megapixel Fujifilm finepix S2 pro. Currently using Nikon D850 and Z6ii. So grateful for being able to compare notes with the expertise shared on this channel ❤.
Sometimes the little bits of kit are a real Gem and can be very helpful. Please share. I mostly use the Fujifilm GFX100S now. It's great - oh and my Canon 5D MkII. I would like to know which Broncolor reflector you use. I think I have the P70 standard reflector.
What is the deal with Neewer brand? I first saw them years ago and they looked like white label junk or worse copy cats. I bought something and was less than impressed but that was over ten years ago. How are they now? Are they a good company?
I am new to photography world, would like to pursue photography and cinematography, finished Masters in automation engineering, I know it's a different program but I am very much interested in photography and cinematography, planning to buy a used good camera, found 6k shots 5DSR for 1089 euros and 1DX mark ii for 1500 euros with 60k shots, what do you suggest and what would you pick if you were in my place and why?, thank you in advance! love your content
Other than some new cameras we might use in 2025. I will be using lighting and other equipment I have had for many years. All my gear is paid for so each time I click the shutter I will be making a profit. My Norman lighting I have had for over 30 years the light is the same as all the other lighting gear out there. I just might not have as many buttons, LOL! So to all you guys out there who buy new gear you should think of you equipment as an investment. 30 + years later my equipment investment is still paying for my fabulous life!
I'd be keen if you do review the GFX to have a little bit of chat about colour science for lifestyle shooters. To my eye it's beautiful at rendering skin (beautiful enough to pay for) - and has more 'filmic' colours than other digital sensors - and I've been wondering for quite a while whether it's worth renting a body+lens kit for a worthwhile job. MP no interest to me, only colour science!
Ok, ok, I get it. The amateurs creep up to the 50 MP mark now, so the pros do need more than these bourgoise resolutions , but seriously: what do you/anybody need 100 MP for? Or better: Where in the process are they lost? The final application doesn‘t require this kind of resolution, right? …and the file size must be gigantic… And: What does picture quality mean in this camera context, since you describe the medium format Fuji as much „better“ than the Canon portrait camera. Is it this a dynamic range thing? Great videos, great thoughts, thank you so much! (Low MP amateur here…)
Hey man, my name is Johnny and I'm a logo designer, your brand name is really amazing, would you like a graphic logo to help your brand even more memorable and attractive enough too to use as merch print graphic for your fans to buy to support you and it will act as wearable business card for your brand too? I have the logo idea in mind already, we can work from that or start from scratch to learn what your likes are too! Let me know if you interested and I would love to work with you to e it happen for you! :-)
The Broncolor vs Godox talk is boring as sin as you've done that to death over the years, but I'm quite interested in that teleprompter. What's the product and how does it work? I'm assuming you put your phone in it and then there's some kind of app, which you control somehow (how?) to make the words move up and down?
80% of viewers are not regulars. So the videos are made for the masses and not specific people. If I made them for a persons journey through all of my videos then they would be useless to all but 20% of viewers.
@@TinHouseStudioUK that's quite a shocking stat. I assumed more than 50% of your viewers would be regulars (as you have some great content). Makes more sense now.

That’d be my fault I did the edit haha
It was perfect. I tend to unsubscribe to channels with loud ads in them.

Bron reflector is a P70 I think. could be wrong... often am. 🤣

That reflector is Bron p65
@ Thank you
14:22 How about the four legged assistant? Regret buying new instead of used? Get another or too high for diminishing returns? /s
Ones plenty for now, but if a money pit, but fun!

Using Unilites without generator doesn't make sense 😂🎉
Why would you use a generator inside? We've always just ran the packs off standard wall points.
“YouTubily” 😉
New word haha
