    This was GREAT...with the exception that I am trying to also add an image to a mail merge for labels... each label would have a different address...but great tutorial overall.

    Thank you! Quick question...How do I make the 3rd line indented/spaced in several spaces compared to lines 1 and 2? Is this possible?

    • @onlinelabels
      @onlinelabels  16 дней назад

      Hello! If you're looking to indent one line on the label, click your cursor on that line and then indent. The line selected should be the only one that indents. Hope that helps!

    Great tutorial. If only it worked. Followed your instructions to the letter but even though I gave up on my own version of Word (2007) after fighting with this for hours, it didn't even work downloading the form directly from the recommended website. Used clip art, as in this demo, but the Celtic Heart Knot design I chose simply would not allow text to wrap to the right of the picture. Too bad. These are great instructions if they worked in all cases, but I guess I'll have to go with plain old boring text.

      There are a variety of things that may be causing the Position button to be dimmed out. Here is a Microsoft forum where that topic is discussed. I think you may be able to find an answer to your issue there:

      Hi Robbert, Make sure that you're adjusting the Position and/or Wrap Text settings under the Format tab while the image is selected. If you've done this and they're still misaligned, please reach out to our support team at 1-888-575-2235 and they'll be happy to assist!

    This was great except for the clipart part. My MS Word 2010 does not have that option. Rather it has "online pictures" in that position. How can I get the clipart function on this new computer?

      Unfortunately, I am not aware of a way of doing this task in Word other than just copying and pasting the image. You may want to check out Online Labels' Maestro Label Designer software as it will automatically step up the image for you. Maestro Label Designer is going to be much easier to use to format labels than Microsoft Word. An activation code comes with every label purchase so there is no cost to the software assuming you buy some labels from OnlineLabels.com. You can check out Maestro Label Designer here: www.onlinelabels.com/maestro

    I can only paste my image into my label, and that screws everything up. How can I either: paste my image and make that work somehow, or paste my image somewhere that I can then import it as an image as described here? I'm an idiot and very frustrated.

    • @onlinelabels2
      @onlinelabels2 4 года назад

      Brian - Microsoft Word is not really intended to be a design tool. When you are attempting to add images into cells, text and other images in the cells will tend to move around and get out of place. This can often mess up the formatting. We normally recommend inserting nested tables (table should have rows / columns that match to your design layout) into each cell and then insert the image into the table cells. My personal opinion is that it is going to be challenging for you to get your formatting right using Word in this situation. I would recommend that you check out Online Labels' web-based label design software, Maestro Label Designer. It is built for designing and laying out labels. Adding images and text will be very easy compared to using Word and you will save a lot of time. You can check it out here: www.onlinelabels.com/maestro

      I am not entirely clear I understand what you are asking. If you know the item number you want to use, you can download the Word template from the OnlineLabels.com website. I recommend that you reach out to Online Labels' support at www.onlinelabels.com/support and they can direct you to the specific template you require.

    • @onlinelabels2
      @onlinelabels2 5 лет назад

      You can manually type the different data into each cell or you can use the Mail Merge feature built into Microsoft Word. There are a variety of articles and videos on the web on how to accomplish this task. The specific details will depend on the version of Word you are using. Here an article on the topic: support.office.com/en-us/article/print-mailing-labels-276a2cd1-74d2-43d0-ab5a-b90460358ad5

      Online Labels, Inc. thank you. When I insert an image , in this case a photo of myself to the left of the label (as you're looking at it) hie can I resize my picture so that it looks proportionate ? I can't get it to look right without my face looking too long short or stretched out ...

    • @onlinelabels
      @onlinelabels  6 лет назад

      Are you inserting the image into a cell (label) by itself or with text already in the cell? It sounds like your image is bigger than the cell so Word is distorting it to make it fit. Have you tried resizing your image outside of Word to make it smaller?

    • @SleeplessinOC
      @SleeplessinOC 6 лет назад

      Online Labels, Inc. well, I copied it from another word template that already had an "insert image" that is almost small enough to fit on the label but still a little large. (So I just selected and copied it from the one I inserted picture from) And I am inserting it after I enter the text in the label following your direction. But I didn't insert the picture using the insert function, no. Hope I'm making sense here.
