People who are serious about getting into the business should learn about the business way before trying to get a deal. The bad stories have been out there for years to the point that everybody knows about artist being jerked. So there is no excuse for these folks not doing their due diligence when it comes to doing business.

All labels rob their artists, but most don’t know because they don’t read their contracts, and the Lox issue was that Puff still had 50 percent of their publishing even after they left. That’s the nature of the music business. Mase was dumb enough to sell his publishing. Puff ain’t rob them no worse than any other executive…
