Interesting Simon? Yep it’s an option I keep pondering. I was in your neck of the woods over the weekend and camped in the Beacons with my son in law. 👍

Thanks for watching Dave 👍 it definitively worked and quite well on that first test, obviously blazing sunshine helped. Looking forward to trying it in the field, hope you had a great camp in the Beacons 👍

I looked at lots of portable solar chargers earlier this year and this Sunjack charger did come out as one of the best for me. The only problem I found was that if you want to buy one new, they force you to buy one of their power banks as well, which ramps the price up unnecessarily. Really weird! So the way you've bought yours is ideal to save some money. As others have said, people generally recommend using the charger to charge a power bank, and then you charge your phone from the power bank afterwards. That was a really good test you did, and what a performance from the charger! 😯 Great buy 👏 James.

Thanks for watching James, I’m impressed with how well made it is as I’ve seen some that don’t look that good tbh. I think I came up trumps with this one and gonna test it out on a 10 mile hike in the beacons on Sunday. We are doing the Neuadd horseshoe walk👍 ATB Simon

Hey fellas. I have one of these (the decathlon one) €49.99 and comes with the cables etc. Have to say, it works brilliantly well. The instructions with mine was geared more towards powering up a power bank while on the move. Hang the solar power pack on your rucksack (then it's also angled at roughly the correct level) and later on when finishing your walk or halfway through stopping for lunch or whatever, you then charge your phone from the power back you've charged with the solar power, with your own charging cables) I'll be taking it on a multi day hike to the pyrenees as I've been testing it on my balcony and a whole day in the sun (even not full sunny days it still works) and the 20,000 mnah is almost fully charged. Great bit of kit!

Thanks for watching Martin 👍 I was pleasantly surprised with the result on the first test which in all honesty better than I thought it would be 😁 yeah you are correct using a power bank is the best option and I’m gonna try it on a hike this weekend hopefully 👍 I’ll let you know how it performs, take care mate

@@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors Yeah, they work really well and in theory, could be gone for days/weeks with power. Looks like yours can charge two things at the same time, like mine but one of mine is a slow charger so i don't bother, i just charge my power bank and it's brilliant, one of the best €50 i've ever spent. I imagine your is the same just a different brand name. if you search Forclaz Trek 900 15w Solar Panel Review in YT there's a short review there and he explains it really well. Hope yours works out great, keep me posted. Greta for your Swiss trip too! (I hear you were going to Switzerland, can't remember where i heard it ;-)

Thanks for watching, it worked really well in the Swiss alps for 4 days and kept my phone and power bank topped up but that was in sunny weather but when it’s cloudy it’s not good but it helped me out 👍
