In fact it was 60 Iraqi tanks defending the city of Basrah; not 50, they were belonging to the Iraqi armored division defending the city which had a total of 74 tanks (all T-55), but a company of 14 tanks were sent to the city of Nasiriyah to support the 11th infantry division there
