  • In Namibia's Orendi Game Reserve, Steve Leonard follows efforts to restore farmland to wilderness, where reintroduced elephants shape the landscape, unpredictable bull elephants pose challenges, and a delicate crocodile relocation aims to balance the ecosystem. The team also monitors rare species like brown hyenas with tracking implants and searches for an escaped lion, amidst sightings of leopards, hippos, and the endangered black rhino.

Sadly, black rhinos are critically endangered due to poaching and habitat loss. Conservation efforts are crucial to ensure their survival, involving anti-poaching patrols, habitat protection, and sometimes even translocation to safer areas.
