Reasons why this weapon only challenge is the most cursed: · Doesn't die to a slime in the first minute · Doesn't struggle on prime · Struggles on twins · No OSOGOF tunnel (unsubscribing, cancelled on Twitter) · Dies to Golem · Dies to cultist · Doesn't leave nebula pillar last
Couple years back I looked up some guides on how to easily beat terraria bosses that I was having a tough time with on mobile. The guides were really good and they worked, I easily beat the bosses I previously struggled to overcome. Good while after that I stumbled upon one of your challenge videos and found it really entertaining so I subscribed. When I finally got a PC and installed terraria on it, I looked up those same guides I used to refresh my memory, and it was only then that I realized it was the same person.

I’m an avid enjoyer of spears, but I wish they got more recognition. Without mods, most Spear type weapons are put in the shadow of more iconic weapons like the Terra Blade, or Yo-Yos.
Flails are my favorite type of weapon, they deliver both single target and aoe damage, I just wish there were more, as the petal flail(forgot the name) is the last flail in progression
@@xSlav eh either or flower petal is from plantera whihch you fight just before fishy boy so they are about the same. The flower petal does wayyy more damage and is imo a bit better than flairon for crowd control but flairon also has homing so I still thing it’s better
You know, Waffle is actually pretty good at the game, better than me at least. I can’t even take on normal master mode, but Waffle did it in master mode. Truly the best gamer of all time. Also gotta say the content itself is actually really well done, you can tell that he actually puts effort into making good content
by the way, tip for phase 3 fishron: dont fly, dont move at all, instead, dash into him with your shield and bounce off of him every time he dashes at you. you take no damage and deal 30 (or is it 60? i cant remember) damage to him. it doesnt even matter what direction you dash in. at this point, its 100% a matter of timing it right, which has a pretty generous window
Yeah it works perfectly, I've done it almost every time fighting him, the timing gets tough, but better than getting your ass handed to you by a giant winged pig fish.

Poor deerclops is always forgotten simply because he is optional and not that difficult, he was even forgotten in his own seed playthrough where he had to wait until waffle had way more gear than necessary to beat him, he doesn’t even get the recognition of being forgotten like empress of light. Trust me waffle, Deerclops will have his revenge for you forgetting him

@@Fella_friend for all of pre-hardmode that is effectively just a whip playthrough, you only get one sentry until AFTER you beat a mech boss and even then you would have to do the Old One's Army Imagine trying to fight the wall of flesh with sentries

Then spider sentry and stronger old ones army summons, then the ones post mech and after plantera the frost chests sentry and finally the strongest old ones army summons and sentry gear.) it’s not that bad except wof is awful
@@Fella_friend you say that but you still have to do the entirety of pre-hardmode as a summoner with one sentry and then fight a mech boss ALSO with one sentry and nothing else in order to get any items that boost your sentry count from the barkeep A lot of your damage between the start of the game and actually beating your first mech boss is going to be from your whip in my experience, the dps of one houndius shootius or ballista against a constantly moving boss is going to be far worse than that of post skeleton whips from my experience as someone doing a full summoner playthrough right now
Fun fact: there is a new item in the game made with topaz and demonite that increases your speed a considerable amount and gives you a glow affect, most affective on the eye of cuthulu, allowing you to out run the eye (with the hermes boots), making it just fighting the timer.
There's something so funny about him completely missing the only prehardmode spear that shoots projectiles, which he could've gotten before the eye of Cthulhu

That clutch you had with Duke Fishron was the exact same clutch I had the first (and only) time I beat Daytime Empress of Light to get the Terraprisma. Avoiding every single attack up until the very end, JUST managing to kill her before taking my first hit. You can imagine how relieved I was to see the Terraprisma drop even though I was dead. I might have cried.
You know, lances are a kind of spear. and they technically oneshot just about every boss in the game by gaining enough speed to go from the bottom of hell to the top of the world in a few frames
i love that ever since waffletime started the calamity playthrough, he's been playing modded more and more. also, waffletime you should have done this in 1.4.4 as many spears are getting a buff.

As usual, good video. I'd suggest flails next, because why not, and maybe combine it with the Celebration seed? Doesn't make it much harder, in fact it's kind of easier, but given that flails aren't that bad either, I personally think the combination would help keep things fresh.

It's tool tip on the wiki says rend your foes asunder with a spear of light so it's kind of a spear and he was using the north pole pretty much entirely ranged so I think it's basically the same thing
Melee has neat side weapons but so many of them are just underpowered. To the point where I don’t see why you’d even use them, if you do it just makes things harder for you
Hey man i love your vids and if you need an idea for your next only something challenge you should do a only mage magic gun playthrough, there quite some cool and strong magic guns especially in hardmode and i think it could be a fun and a good challenge ❤️
pro tip: If you're struggling with Duke Fishron's 3rd phase just try jumping on a spot continually, recommended and used by Ningishu (her? them?) self. Obviously your jumps will have to be timed, so a blizzard plus cloud in a bottle would work wonders. You could also try flying on a spot but you'd have to be using some high velocity wings.

Oh I'm not sure if you know this but the Moon Lord fight becomes a lot easier when you use the Phantasm bow instead of a spear. Hope that helps!
The zenith works the best though I don't know why anyone would use a spear or a Phantasm bow for the ML.

As usual, good video. I'd suggest flails next, because why not, and maybe combine it with the Celebration seed? Doesn't make it much harder, in fact it's kind of easier, but given that flails aren't that bad either, I personally think the combination would help keep things fresh.

It's tool tip on the wiki says rend your foes asunder with a spear of light so it's kind of a spear and he was using the north pole pretty much entirely ranged so I think it's basically the same thing

pro tip: If you're struggling with Duke Fishron's 3rd phase just try jumping on a spot continually, recommended and used by Ningishu (her? them?) self. Obviously your jumps will have to be timed, so a blizzard plus cloud in a bottle would work wonders. You could also try flying on a spot but you'd have to be using some high velocity wings.

Is there any reason why nobody ever uses the honeyed goggles? I feel like I never see anyone actually use it even though it’s a pretty fast mount and can extend your flight time. I always use mine because it’s the only decent pre hard mode mount
