The impresive Asteri Dam and all Saints monastery

- Today we visit two dams of Achaia and the monastery of Agioi Panton (All Saints) near the village of Velimachi. The first dam we encounter is that of Peiros - Parapiros rivers next to the village of Asteri. It is a big and important project for Achaia. Just before we reach the village of Velimachi we meet the other dam of Daska which was built in 2014 and is now a habitat as it has fish and is located in a very beautiful environment. After the Daska dam we pass through the village of Velimachi to reach the monastery of Agioi Panton. The current Monastery of All Saints was built in 1728 by the monk Nectarios. Over time, he acquired spiritual ties with the Monastery of St. Catherine of Sinai.
