    I just graduated from Kent and I remember you helped me move in, in my first year (2014) as you were a helper and I said to you how I saw your parkwood flats room tour (as I was moving into kemsdale) but you were a bit embarrassed haha so its nice to see you making another kent video! I have major parkwood withdrawals sometimes you're right it was the best for socialising

    Hi I am planning to go to Kent this year, if I am not being too rude may I ask: approximately how much did you pay in freshman year including accommodation, food, tuition and fees?

    • @jeclectic
      @jeclectic  7 лет назад +3

      Hi, well it all depends on a lot of different things.
      Tuition is just over £9000 for UK students and I'm not sure about International fees but it would be quite a bit more I think around £14000 a year. Accommodation depends where you stay on campus (en-suite and central campus costs more) so around £4-7000 and then living costs really just depend on the person but i'd say at least budget yourself for about £50 a week (may cost more or less depending on going out, how much food you eat, travel etc). Plus, books for your course :)
      Hope this helped, let me know if you have any other questions!

    I’m applying for the online induction, there is section that requires you to print a copy of the insurance policy, do you have to print EVERYTHING? Cause it’s a lot

    I got an opportunity to study at University of Kent. I would like to know about the university, specially about the education level, the faculties and job opportunities.

      There are a lot of opportunities. I would suggest that you take a look at the University website, Kent Union and probably follow them on twitter. I think most students would agree that the quality of teaching is high. The campus is lovely and it is a very vibrant and friendly place to be :)

    Thank you for such an informative video :) I received an offer for MSc in Management at Kent Uni and was wondering about employment opportunities (in terms of networking, support by University, companies recruiting etc). Did you feel like there is a support system put in place? What is an overall reputation of Kent University among employers in the UK (and possibly Europe, if you have any feedback on that)?
    Thank you!

      Hi Tina P, in terms of networking there are lots of events throughout the year such as the careers fair where major companies come in and you are able to talk with them about employment opportunities. KBS has a pretty good reputation I would say in the UK and probably in Europe but ofc I wouldn't say they're one of the top lol. It is getting better every year and the new Sibson building is amazing (I went back a couple of months ago). Also the school holds their own networking and career events. I'd suggest you join societies like the enterprise one and Kent business society or just get involved with anything related to business at every opportunity.
      You also have a lot of support around the uni if you want it you can go talk to the careers office and they can help you with your cv and give you advice. More specifically though I would be friendly with your lecturers and tutors, they are very respected in their own fields. I would suggest you go talk to the head of employability at KBS (Irena) if you ever have questions about applications for jobs etc she helps a lot!
      Hope that helps! Let me know if you would like to know anything else :) x

      Jeclectic Thank you so much! First-hand experience is always most comforting :) Once I'm closer to deciding whether to join Kent or not, I'll definitely have more questions :) Thanks again!

    • @jeclectic
      @jeclectic  8 лет назад

      I think for ensuite the cheapest is around £6,100 for the academic year. It's a lot but it's worth it 👍🏼👍🏼

      I know this isn't your question but I'm in the parkwood houses right now, they're a lot cheaper and sharing the bathroom is no big deal at all! It's less than £5000 a year!
