Well Well Well meme has exploded this week. So much so that Patrick broke the format all together! Patrick has blamed Mr. Krabs for the Eduardo's Well Well Well..., what will Krabs do now that he is publicly called out?!?

This meme has been very polarizing. Some find it annoying, others like that odd noises it makes, but the OGs find nostalgia in it. This meme is deeply rooted in Flash Games and Animation history with a fond homage to its original creator. What do you think? Honestly, I think both creators of SpongeBob and Eddsworld would love to see Patrick and Eduardo 1v1. :)

How its made:
Fun Fact #1 - You wouldn't think so, but 75% of this scene was recreated!
Fun Fact #2 - Half of Patrick and Spongebob's walk cycle had to be reconstructed to allow enough time for the music to play.
Fun Fact #3 - The phrase "Technology" first had to be processed to remove the original background music. Then, multiple layers and pitch bends were used to get that wild sound. Finally, in the original recording, the 'geee' part of 'Technolo - gee', was very quiet and ended abruptly. I wanted Patrick to have a stronger ending with a longer falloff sound. To produce this, I add my own recording of myself growling into the microphone. Yep, I now have multiple takes of me making odd growling sounds xD. After lots of audio processing, it sounds like Patrick emphasizes the "gee"!
Fun Fact #4 - When Patrick smashes the computer, the light casting over his face and background was entirely created by myself! A diffuse plane was rotoscoped into the scene and drawn to imitate light being cast by the screen.

Thanks for noticing and good eye for catching it!! There are three parts!
TL;DR: X-Y position track his eyes, add a masked layer of his mouth closed, then parent the mask to tracking data.
Detailed version;
Step 1: since Patrick does not blink the entire time, his eyes are a perfect tracking marker. So either auto-track using editing software or keyframe the positions using a transparent object.
Step 2: I took a screen shot of his mouth closed just before he began to speak. I then masked out everything except his mouth area (enough to cover his speaking lines).
Step 3: Now you should have the mask layer, base video and the tracking data (or transparent object with the keyframe positions), All that's left is to parent (connect/attach) the mask to the tracking data.
Ta Da, you now have Patrick walking without speaking. :)
