I never knew of you or heard any of your music until recently, when I stumbled on your video of "You Don't Care for Me Enough to Cry". That song hit home so well I couldn't believe it, then I listened to "Break My Heart Sweetly", and man oh how that song went right to the heart of how I feel about a woman so sweet, yet I'm always chasing her into heartache, exactly the way you describe it. Then I listened to "Old Wounds", the first line of that song, "I want to fall asleep forever, I want to learn to disappear" is the sum of me. I don't know how you do it, but you know how to express the feelings of heartache with such elegance and real emotion, it seems you read my mind. I always wanted to write songs like this but just can't seem to put my feelings into words. You write exactly what I feel. I'm from Tulsa myself and one day I hope to see you here and meet you. I could listen to you forever. Your music has done a lot for me to look at my inner self and release the pain I carry inside of me. Thank you John Moreland, you're an inspiration for me, especially at I time when your words written in song are what I need to hear to heal.
Same for me. Terrible break up when Covid started. Moved into a small apartment, depressed and lonely. His songs were 100% how I felt. Blacklist is a masterpiece but this one and 'In Times Between' are up there aswell. And so many others. Check out his earlier stuff that he recorded with 2 different bands. You find it on streaming platforms when you type John Moreland. It's mostly punk, but very good, and there are at least 3 acoustic songs aswell that are among his best work. He is my #1 priority to see live.

It can be hard man, as someone who has had isues with my weight, depression and some other things I see s lot of myself in John's music, especially the early stuff but if you read into interviews he says hes in a better place, but it still can be such a challenge for some.
Keto and carnivore diets are better for a second step especially in someone that already has a weight problem because of blood sugar being too low with those two and would be tired and probably dizzy and headaches and trouble sleeping well at night. A balanced of equal carbs or vegetables with equal portion protein.
