      A good farmer always has his cattle on the first place. My uncle is a dairy farmer, and his cows look amazing. But I completely agree with you that it's a good thing that he reminds people of how well these farmers take care of their cows.

      People have heard about factory farms for many years (which are certainly an issue), so it’s easy for some people to assume they’re all like that. I would hazard a guess that smaller farms and ranches have the best animal care, but I’m no expert.

Now I’ve back watched almost all past vids all because of your amazing talent of making clips of hoof trimming interesting and engaging. Im sure I’m talking for a lot of people in the comments I’ve seen when I say thank you for taking your time to show and explain so well so even the most out of the loop city people can learn and appreciate the career you do :)

      Some people just gotta be negative. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if some of them are so-called "animal rights" people or PETA types who disapprove of keeping any animals under any conditions no matter how well cared for. Unfortunately, such people are out there. I often find they actually have very little knowledge of what the animals they profess to care about really need, either in captivity or the wild.

    Your channel is so addictive. I got to watch it last night with my grandson who's six. I think he enjoyed learning about it too. I enjoy that you have revisited cows like this video it's nice to see the evolution of your work.

    What is the thing protruding out of the hoof? All this is so interesting and I can’t stop watching. I never realized how intricate a cows hoof is. Thank you Hoof GP!

    Okay so I don’t know if you’ve addressed this or not but why does the hood horn turn black most of time or is it just stained from muck n slurry ?? Love your videos by the way my whole family watches your channel 💙💙

    • @PaganAngel07
      @PaganAngel07 3 года назад +17

      I think its because of the iodine he sprays them with. That stuff stains everything as well as drying out the horn.

    Really happy to see such healing progress. I really do believe the paste work's. Gives it the extra help it needs to heal up. Cool to see how the blocks fall off.
    The Bovi Bond can be counted on to stay put long enough to get the healing started. Always a wonderful video.

    I've said it before but thank you Graeme, for sharing your life with us out here in RUclips land. All around the globe there are hundreds of thousands of real people who get enjoyment, feel less lonely, are entertained, laugh, reminisce, enjoy music and Scotland's landscapes, people who are excited, who learn, who empathise - all because of the work that you and Craig do, and because of the wonderful videos you create. God bless you and yours.

    I love your concern for the wellbeing of these animals and wonder how many cows are actually fortunate enough to get this kind of care. Considering the poor conditions in which most dairy cows are forced to live, I'm now much more motivated to cut dairy from my diet.
