Something to note for the RPS and DP-23 is that the heavy weapon clone can still use the DC-15A on turns they can't fire the heavy weapon, so it's not like they can't still contribute every turn, you just may not get to use their main weapon all the time.
I played a game where I brought a LAAT/LE carrying a Phase 1 squad with the DP-23 an extra clone and Frag grenades. Creating an incredible alpha strike squad. Throwing 5 red, 2 black and a white with pierce 1 and surge to crit. With the Laat pilot you can demolish a whole squad in a turn if you're lucky :)) should try it
