- Director Reacts to BTS First Time Listen
This is one of the last videos I will be making like this... a rambling, processing mess wrapped around a BTS video.*
In the last two months of taking this journey, BTS has been an awesome deep dive for me. I needed something to get lost in and this was perfect. I have discovered an amazingly talented group of artists, an extraordinary fandom (ARMY), and made more friends than I ever expected to. But it has become clear that this series ("Director Reacts") and the Couch Crew Family has also helped me process through some Real Life things I had going on... but now it's time to refocus on the original purpose of this entire journey: BTS.
*Aside from beginning a RunBTS series (upcoming), I will be starting a new series which will be much more concise, direct, and focused on understanding exactly who OT7 is and where they've come from. The full announcement with details will come later today.

There is something I heard about the rap line that I had heard from I don't remember where but it has stuck with me..."J-hope raps with his heart, Suga raps with his soul, and RM raps with his mind."
I love that!
Cyphers are their answer to the haters, they are not talking trash to each others.
Pre-debut era is just what we call the era before they officially debut in 2013, when they were still trainees. And both as trainees and as idol they were (are ) under Bighit.
As for your questions about kdramas, I actually discovered BTS through a kdrama so yeah I do watch them.
Roscoe - as long as you are loving what you’re doing on this journey you’ll have the couch crew on the ride with you. You do whatever makes you happy.
On the comment of Hoseok (Hobi) and his sense of rapping, you're right on. Since he started as a dancer he has an impeccable sense of beat which lets him do things like abandon it and go freestyle and then jump back in. And Namjoon also did that during PTD D-1, during one song he went off from the lyrics into a rant about why he needs Lasik.
I don't really think couch viewers are trying to harp on you, but we try to give a helping hand. The color coded videos are mostly good in my opinion because you can hear the song and who's part it is, even though most of the time the translation is off. I think most ARMY swear by doolset purely because of how good the translations are.
Omg that lasik thing was so funny and awesome.
Whatever direction you want to take, we'll be here for it. Wishing that every step of this journey for you has been a happy and healing process. It has been like that for me. 😊😊😊 Borahae 💜💜💜
I started watching Korean movies in 2002. And subtitling them, with JP ones and Chinese ones (mainland, HK and Taiwan).
Then I jumped to dramas too.
Then I paid attention to the music thanks to a Japanese album of a Korean artist (Youjeen, from Cherry Filter), then I went all in. I got to know different artists, first group I listened to intently was 2ne1 (I did know snsd and others).
So yeah, I love directors, and I love actors. And there are AWESOME AWESOME catalogue (and a lot of American rip-offs bc, sorry, lack of originality makes them do remakes of Asian movies without crediting them @_@)
PS. The channel you thought it wasn't right, IT WAS. The name is "Enjoy BTS more", you can contact her. She's doing buddha's work (?) compiling a lot of lives and subtitling them, and sometimes even with explanations. She won't copyright you! (ask her first, I guess?) She deserves a sub, by the way!
PS2. The coloring on doolset are the rhyme schemes :) that are not simple (end of sentence/word), but rather complex. ANd sometimes they even rhyme English with Korean.
PS3. You'll find out, but Cyphers (BTS) are not talking trash, are about putting haters in their place with witty lyrics ^^
💜 enjoy BTS more she is ARMY 💜
Especially 2 and 3. When they say go back to Hawaii, I think Born Free is from Hawaii and had publicly disrespect BTS.
Yes to Korean dramas! That’s what got me into Korean music. Each drama can have a dozen OSTs- official soundtrack songs. A whole other rabbit hole. 🐰💜V acted in one- Hwarang. V and Jin sang one of the OSTs on it- Even If I Die It’s You. V also sang Sweet Night (all English) from the drama Itaewon Class (HIGHLY recommended -still on Netflix). Jin sang Yours for the recent drama Jirisan. And V sang Christmas Tree from the recent drama Our Beloved Summer ( Netflix-starring his friend Choi Woo Shik who also starred in the Oscar winning movie Parasite). Maybe do a session with these 4 Jin and V OSTs? They are singles.
Tae is such a good actor!!
I always feel, whether J-Hope is singing or rapping - and no matter how serious the subject - he always sounds like he's smiling. It's an odd sensation, but you can 'hear' his smile.
Except on Outro: tear... His painful expression breaks my heart everytime I watch it. I can't bear watching him crying, like during his speech in 2018 :-(
I panicked for a second, thinking you were going to be leaving us! But now I'm more excited than ever! I can't wait to see you discover the guys more in depth. Their music is absolutely amazing, but the reason we stay is for their humor, genuineness, and their ability to inspire literally millions. I know you're already attached to them, but after Run!BTS, Soop, and other things, you will become even more so. It'll be extremely difficult to ever let them go.
Same!! Couch Crew is forever. I’m excited to spend more time together:
Omg me 2. I almost started crying.
Same!
I was never into Rap but BTS' rap is such an experience, it never gets old and now I love it so much and enjoyed rewatching it with you, virtual hugs to you Roscoe and to the rest of the couch crew 🤗💜.
Oh Roscoe, you survived the ciphers ! You were great…. Have never enjoyed anyone’s response to them, nearly as much as I did with you !💜💜💜💜💜
I found BTS because I am a Korean drama addict. I have a favourite actor who is in the drama Hwarang. I watched it for him but was distracted by the cute youngest member of the cast. I looked him up and it was of course our beloved Taehyung and that was that. I came to you tube and viewed compilation videos of Run BTS and In the Soop before listening to any of the music. I got to know the guys characters first and adored them. Then I got to the music and before I knew it I was Army 💜💜💜💜
Whose your favorite actor?
@@angelkbear5472 I have 2. Park Seo Joon and Lee Min Ho
This was such a satisfying reaction to the Cyphers haha. You picked the right Cyphers Medley live performance 👍 You can put try putting text over the video or putting a semi-transparent layer over it if you run into copyright issues. I'm very partial to the rapline too, they got me into BTS. The 3 rappers don't get enough credit for shouldering the bulk of songwriting and producing for BTS...that is a lot of stress, responsibility and workload on them. They even write/produce solo songs for the vocalists, like RM wrote Singularity for V. And Suga recently produced a solo song for Jungkook called Stay Alive, it is amazing. And I know every member has gone through an infinite amount of personal hardships, but RM and Suga in particular went through a lot, like getting a lot of shit from underground rappers. And RM's difficulties as the leader is often overlooked.
In case you're interested in a little clip for some Cyphers context, especially because in Cypher 2 there is a line "go back home, go back to Hawaii" - this is a subtle diss towards an underground rapper named B-Free who wanted to beef with RM and Suga (and by extension, BTS). B-Free was born in Hawaii. There is an infamous clip of B-Free publicly dissing RM and Suga, they were all attending a sort of public panel discussion about hiphop. I'll link you the clip of that panel discussion, you can either watch it on your own time or save it for another reaction. Just a warning, it may cause infuriation, as it is obvious B-Free was trying humiliate RM and Suga:

In regards to your question about We Are Bulletproof Part 1 ....it was written and produced by a 16 year old RM in 2010, when he was just signed to Big Hit as a trainee. (Pre-debut refers to anything before BTS's 2013 debut of their first album, basically refers to their training years.) RM recorded the first verse, and he had Iron and Supreme Boi record the other verses. (Iron and Supreme Boi were in the original line-up to be in BTS, but Supreme Boi did not want to be an idol and stayed on as a producer. He's the one that features in Cypher 3). This version of WABP Pt 1 is listed as an unofficial song, here's the link if you want to hear it:

In 2015, two years after they debuted, BTS re-recorded WABP Pt. 1 with all 7 members. Here's the link:

Fun fact: My first BTS concert was Day 3 in LA Sofi, it was also my first ever concert in my life. I'm 50! It was amazing. ARMY are the best people on the planet, absolute facts!
I'm not even embarrassed to admit, I almost fainted a few times. Screaming and singing at max level, waving the light stick and dancing, it is heaven!!
I literally have to up my income now just to afford being in this Fandom and it's worth every cent!
💜💜💜💜 Borahae! (I was mis-pronouncing it too, apparently) 😉
the best way that I ever heard some one explain their rapping, which I love, is RM raps with his mind, J-Hope raps with his body, and Suga raps with his soul. then you put them together and you get the one heart called the BTS rap line
I've watched over 200 K dramas. I LOVE them!!
Pre-debut era is just what we call the era before they officially debut in 2013, when they were still trainees. And both as trainees and as idol they were (are ) under Bighit. -A. Dridri
Can't say it better myself.💜
Just started watching kdramas, happiness, black and our beloved summer, all so much better than most of the UK TV shows
Had this Nugget waiting for me when I woke up this morning!!! Wow! You did the Cyphers…yaaaasssss!!! All of the Cyphers are brilliant, but I LOVE Cypher 4….Suga slays! My take away from his verse is “F@ck you, but please be healthy!”😂😂😂😂
Oh! And then you went and did the Cypher Medley Live! I must say….my day is off to a great start! Thank you!
One more thing:
“I found the beat…it was in the lost & found!”-- yeah, I died right then🤣🤣🤣
Roscoe, you’re my kinda people!!!!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Love having you on the couch, Lisa!!!
RM Cypher pt 2 is just amazing
FunFact: Joonie doesn’t breathe. He lives on ARMY Love 😜
I've always said that RM gets the feel of the beat and then makes his own on top of it.
Roscoe - the couch will never be empty because you are genuine
I will be seeing this after all my sessions end-most likely after 7pm. I can’t wait to see the video. Love to all 💜
For those who don’t know, I’m a mental health therapist 💜 I’m always here to listen to you all 🤗💜
17:38 I've been watching k-dramas for about 4 years now and have to say i'm addicted to them lol. Also helped me learn some basic Korean that can be helpful at times :)
🙋guilty. I love k-dramas...
hello!!! I feel that the same thing happened to me when I entered the world of bts, I expected to see a typical boy band, and I was very surprised to know how virtuous each one of them is... and I can say that they are unique. and yes, I watch Korean dramas when I have time and they are really good, I recommend them dear Roscoe... hugs from Argentina 💜
Love me some good K-Dramas.
*pats your head* Good job buddy!! Everyone must find their own path on this journey!
I found k-drama about 10 years ago and fell deeply in love. I still watch American shows occasionally, but 90% of TV time is Korean. I love the cinematography in the historical dramas!
You are still baby ARMY, making mistakes is totally fine, you’ll learn. You still need to look up the short clip of V when he first told ARMY about the color purple and introduced “Borahae!” to our vocabulary!
They were always Big Hit. Even pre-debut.
That Cypher 3 live - Suga was sick and RM was exhausted. And that's Supreme Boi on the records in the back. He's a producer for Big Hit.
Omg I had to do a double take! I got nervous for a second that you weren’t doing these anymore! I’m excited to see what’s next on your journey 😊
So happy you finally got around to reacting to the cyphers. I’m not really into rap in general, but love the rap line’s music. They wreck me whenever I hear the Cyphers, Outro: Tear, Ddaeng and Ugh! 💜💜💜
Started watching Korean movies first, back in 2004, and naturally transitioned to K-dramas. I stopped for about 8-10 years though, because I started to disagree about their ideas about love and relationships. Started watching again just last year, because I needed the distraction, and was happy to find that the narratives have changed a bit. Korean writers have become really good storytellers over the years.
By the way, Supreme Boi was a Big Hit trainee who was supposed to be part of BTS before they changed the concept of the group to include vocalists. He stayed on at Big Hit as a producer. 😁
Also you shouldn’t be scared to watch the live videos if you’ve already watched the song and seen it’s lyrics. Their live performances are what snagged me. Huge rabbit hole when I first started listening to them. 😊❤
For a second there I got scared ngl. Can't wait for more in depth videos and you discovering the boys being.. themselves! 💜
I got into k dramas from Japanese anime and now I’m in kpop. The Cyphers are an experience and I love them. I think alot about how BTS made rap that all ages can enjoy and love.
Double thumbs up and thrilled to hear that the indentation of my derriere on the Comfy Couch will remain _my comfort spot_ Looking forward as always, to whatever you want to explore, wherever you want to roam😉💜🙆♀️ [and "yes" *HUGE* K-Drama watcher😉😂]
Oh by the way, if you want to do another rapline song soon, Ddaeng is a very beloved rapline song, really sick song (pronounced "dang"). Just a light suggestion for how you can do your video for it, I'm not trying to control how you format your video, but just trying to help minimize confusion as to what videos to pick. And to also inform you about the cool clips of Ddaeng that you might not otherwise find. Again, not trying to force you to do it this way, you can disregard my suggestion if you want to, no pressure. Just trying to show you the best clips pertaining to Ddaeng so you don't have to comb through it.
I suggest doing a lyric video, then the DKDKTV explanation video is kind of necessary because there's a lot of cultural references in the wordplay. The genius of their lyricism will be hard for non-koreans to understand.
And there's a cool behind-the-scenes clip of the rappers mixing and producing Ddaeng in the studio, and practicing Ddaeng in the practice room. It's a super entertaining clip that will make you laugh, here's the link:
ruclips.net/video/SEiT2mO97fA/видео.html
And here is a live performance of Ddaeng by the 3 rappers, the quality of sound isn't great, but it's the official clip posted on their channel and still a great clip:
ruclips.net/video/JuZwvYDQ92E/видео.html
And here is a fun live performance of Ddaeng where they give most of the parts to the 4 vocalists and the rappers are just proud dads hyping them up:
ruclips.net/video/tQRrc3PEITc/видео.html
Also, since you mentioned wanting to understand more about each member of BTS, there was a more recently made "Intro To The 7 Members" video that doesn't spoil songs (it only gives very very short snippets, unlike other Intro videos where they play the songs unnecessarily long). Everyone agrees it is the best Intro video made so far, in terms of introducing each individual member. So far, you haven't yet watched a video that goes into each individual member. Here's the link, it's titled "Draft" because the girl who made it is still taking suggestions on how to improve her video, but everyone agrees her video is the best already:
ruclips.net/video/a0m_No-_fGw/видео.html
There is text you have to read, so feel free to pause and/or rewind however many times you need to.
Sorry if this is information overload, no pressure. Just trying to help out, but you can disregard it if you feel pressured. Love you Ros! Have fun and enjoy!
This is great info, Jane! Thank you! I had no idea there was a new 7 Members intro that didn't spoil songs!
@@ThisRoscoe sorry I should have been more clear, it DOES play songs, but very very briefly, like around 5-7 seconds each time I would say. But I think it plays a lot of songs you've already heard. Compared to other Intro vids that give away entire verses or almost an entire song, it really avoids spoiling songs the best. But if you don't want to hear a single second of any song, then skip it. But it really is an awesome Intro vid. And like I said, I think you've already heard most of the songs that it plays.
@@janetuss6496 lol no it’s all good. I’m past the Spoiler thing; and I wasn’t really worried about hearing songs, per se, as much as avoiding the MAMA Performance everyone talks about.
@@ThisRoscoe hahaha okay gotcha 👍👍 yes, please Rogue Ros to your heart's content, the MMA and MAMA award show performances are really the only things that we would suggest holding off on until you hear the songs individually first. So you go into the concerts able to recognize all the songs and remixes, makes the performances more meaningful and you'll enjoy it more.
I agree with these suggestions. I love ALL related content of Ddaeng. Such a masterpiece
Roscoe! Missed the first two cyphers but caught errythang else!😁 GOTTA LOVE DA CYPHERS!
However you choose to run your channel works for me! I will be here, not on time apparently, but I will be here!🙋🏾♀️😉
A Couch Pit would be AWESOME!😂
Watching you look for the beat tickled me!😂😂😂 It was right there.😁 The coffee is strong in that one...😆
So sorry that these weeks and months caught up with you and ruined your day, BUT I am happy that time on the Couch with The Couch Crew helped improve your mood!
JOURNEY ON!!!
Edit: Cypher 5 has been talked about, so I am pretty sure that we can expect it. The question is when?
Remember that the guys (Rap line/Jin) were trainees starting in 2010 and once they were chosen for BTS they began a social media campaign to get their name out there to attract fans. They did popular covers and wrote songs to post well before their June 2013 debut, think 2012 up to debut.
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Well thank god for the description 'cause you nearly gave me a heart attack with that title! 😅 This is *your* journey and we're just along for the ride and I'm enjoying it so far... 💜
I clicked so fast to see what’s going on! Oh man I’m so glad theres more room on the couch for new subscribers to sit on bc we would love to continue this big bts journey with you! I love every episode and still look forward to it during my downtimes. Thank you Roscoe! LESSSGOOOOOO
wordplay is a like a pun, you know, playing with words like one word sounds like another word
example: Sowoozoo (Korean for Mikrokosmos) sounds like Soju in Korean
other times, it's when a single word having different meanings and used it to add different layers to the lyrics like Tear, it's either tear an in crying or tear as in ripping apart, other example is Ddaeng (which I won't explain for future "reactions" but it have a lot of meaning)
and RM LOVES WORDPLAY
No matter how you want to discover BTS I will be here on the couch!
Some days you’re my coffee! Lol I watch your reactions and they help me wake up! Looking forward to these cypher reactions! Still behind 😂 but catching up
What a journey! 💪 ☕️
It always amazes me that their rap rhymes even when translated. So much thought goes into it! 💜💜
Ahh yes I love those, glad to see you diving into these cyphers. And yes, I watch korean dramas. I have a top 5. I like them just because they have such interesting storylines and I just can't stop watching, because I never know what plot twist they gonna pull next and it's tbh hard for me to focus on shows and movies, so that's why korean dramas are so great. And I just read the description and runBTS are coming ?? Lets go !!
Also seriously, never do that again with a title, almost scared the living fridge outta me✋️
Cyphers are like diss tracks to the haters💜💜
k dramas yay!
Thank you so much for your videos and the community you’ve created, Roscoe. Lately they’ve been among the few things that keep me grounded and sane. 💜
I'm sorry you're having a tough time. I can sympathize at least in my own way... I hope things look up for you soon.
@@ThisRoscoe I am sure they will. If not, I’ll draw a new map.
To garner a following, BTS released some tracks pre-debut. Big Hit put the boys together, so they didn’t know each other prior to becoming Big Hit trainees.
You are me and I am you. I did NOT expect the rap line to be THIS dope. It was 6 am about 4 months ago when I fell down this rabbit hole. I was raised on hip hop. Chicago born and bred. They are the absolute TRUTH. Lyricists. Artists. Geniuses.
I am so excited. I knew you would love the cyphers. I have been waiting and waiting 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I may have watched one or two Korean dramas 😂😂😂😂😬🤷♀️ Love the Cyphers 😎 them flexing back to those talking trash. To me each one gets better and better. Thanks Roscoe!💜
Yeah that’s me- may have watched one or two…….. dozen! 🤣
doolset highlights parts in orange to show how the lines rhymes with each other.
Lol you did get me on the last episode when you said your almost out of content 😂😂. I do hope you watch the cyphers live by the boys! 😊😊
Thanks for sharing your journey I don’t have anyone in my fam that shares them with me.
Someone has probably already answered your questions, but I'll just leave this hear in case no one has. Warning, this is gonna be long.
So a cypher is typically a sort of rap battle where everyone is positioned (usually standing) in a circle. It is delivered as if it's a freestyle but it's not always a freestyle as some rappers will prepare rough drafts of rhymes, insults, topics, etc at home and memorize them for when it's needed. Which, to be fair, is how a lot of freestyling is done but some will REALLY prepare full verses and such if they know certain MC's may be there and they have words with them.
Anyways the point is to show off your skill against fellow MCs and it's done like a tag team with the cypher bouncing from one person to the other. It's usually braggadocious in nature since it's about showing off but you can rap about anything really once you show off your lyricism and wit. Since it's usually about bragging for many rappers, it's natural for others to insult each other to make themselves look better in comparison so it can get vicious and brutal. That's the tone of BTS's cyphers as you saw but each one changes to reflect where BTS was in their journey and also the level of attacks they got.
BTS using a cypher style to drag their haters, many who are underground rappers, does a lot of things:
1) It gives them the perfect concept to roast their haters while showing off their skill (a thing that haters call into question)
2) It shows that an idol rapper can rap just like any underground rapper and even better than some
3) It shows that they have a deep understanding of actual hip hop culture and they're not simply wearing hip hop culture as a concept or aesthetic as many idol rappers (and even some underground rappers) tend to do
4) It sets aside a space that feels entirely separate from BTS's usual music where they can get now mean, gritty, cutthroat and fight back. This is noteworthy as idols are meant to be likable, happy, courteous and take the high road. They don't often fight back outright for everyone to see.
Back them especially, many people in the general public had the view/understanding that most idols don't write or produce their own music. They are handed tracks to sing/rap and they have to maintain a clean cut image of perfection. That goes against traditional underground hip hop culture that values being able to go against the grain, send a message, say and do what you want without anyone telling you to keep a good image for the public, etc. So idols putting out a song cussing people out and murdering them on the beat isn't what was expected especially since they wrote their own material and used it to attack without apologies or backtracking. The hate RM and Suga got from the underground community was because it was assumed that, now that they are assumed to be idols controlled by their company, there's no way they'd have the freedom to do something like this.
Either way, it's cool because instead of this being the sort of cypher where Suga, RM and J-Hope go against each other to compete and show off who's better than the other, they come together to attack/gang up on a common opponent. It's a good deviation to show their teamwork and synergy. It would have been so easy to turn something like this into a one-upping game but they are supporting each other against other people who try to hurt them. It's cute in a way.
My favorite quote from a comment is “RM will kill you with words, J-Hope will kill you with flow, and Suga will just kill you”. I wish I could credit the author.
Your face when SUGA’s part in Cypher pt 3 came on was priceless!!! I laughed so hard!! 🤣🤣🤣 Needed that today 😁
I've said it before and I'll say it again... I don't like rap.
But what BTS do is different. So different; in a way I can't really explain. I think it's the "feel"of the song. Just the way it touches you. The way it washes over you, and through you.
But Suga... When I hear Suga, it's like coming home. I know it sounds strange, but when Suga raps I feel like I've found where I belong. I feel safe, comfortable, and content. It just feels like home. And that's pretty amazing. And I don't know why... And I don't care. I don't care what magic he uses to create that sense of home; I'm just glad he does. So I thank Suga for that feeling. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Sorry for the little fangirl rant. But blame Roscoe, he played the Cyphers back to back. Which I loved💜. And I loved watching Roscoe almost loose his mind at times. Whenever you think you know what to expect from BTS, they hit you from left field; right field; the outfield; and the batter's cage.
Can't wait to see what you check out next Roscoe.💜
I've been waiting for Run BTS to get it's chance! I became Army because of Run videos first! The music was whipped cream and 🍒 on top!
I really loved that transition you did when you went to get your package. Like a magic trick. It reminded me of this TV show i used to watch "without a trace". They use that edit when someone goes missing. It really scares me in the show how some on can just vanish. So I was really happy when you came back right away.
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜+💜
Oh yeah, at some point, the couch crew HAS to go to a BTS concert together! THAT WOULD BE EPIC!
Hello Roscoe!!! Ahh it's good to be here today, I've been working hard and today I sat on the couch!! Thank you, it feels good to be with friends! 💜💜💜
the cyphers are coming!!!!! cant wait
Its just suga doing 3/4 and the beat is 4/4 ,he is a genius when it comes to music, beats tunes ..doing that kind of beat is very complicated unless your a genius urself. not every rapper can do that kind of a perfect timing doing 3/4 beat while the music is having a 4/4..
Ahhhh…K dramas. My addiction, along with BTS, for the last 8 years. (Actual hidden gems I’d love to recommend to others) My intro to BTS also. Loved the drama’s OSTs (sometimes sung by K-pop idols who also act in the dramas, or just idols who do songs for them) and started looking for more K-pop songs. Found BTS and fell down the rabbit hole. It took a while before my sister could talk me into watching a K drama. (My 1st was Boys Over Flowers) I used to be a constant reader…now I read a lot of Korean translations. LOL I have 3 sisters who also like both BTS and K dramas. We do Korean nights…eat Korean foods, snacks and candies, drink Korean drinks, do masks and Korean beauty products and watch BTS and K dramas. I love your comfy couch and I’m going to invite my sisters to join us.
Great couch catch up, Roscoe! Borahae for a less stressful week ahead. 💜💜💜
oooh the orange words on the lyrics pages. You know, I never questioned that until you asked. But from what I can tell, it's the words that are rhyming in each line to the next line. Thanks for pointing that out, lol
Lol I thought you were gonna be like you all are to much I'm out! Super excited for everything that comes out no matter what direction it takes. Yay Run BTS coming too :)
I'm glad we allow you to be yourself, makes us happy 😁
Okay to go off your couch crew concert idea.... We rent a space... Bring in couches and a disco ball... Play BTS videos on giant screen, maybe a dj... Couch crew party? 💜
lovin' your energy and facial expressions hahaha. you're really into it! please react to "Ugh" and "Daeng", rapline's masterpieces as well.
Also as I keep going through your journey I do hope you watch and react to their Buschan concert because their live performance of this is amazing!
Yeah... The Cyphers are for sure an experience! Love it!!!
I’m looking forward to this next adventure!

Attaching to your comment that many ARMYs grew up listening to BTS Rap, fills me with joy that new generations put aside the misogynistic and violent lyrics that my generation grew up and this new generation listens to female empowerment, loving yourself and self-improvement with BTS lyrics -
I really enjoyed YOU discovering the Cypers. when you are in Rapper mode, I recommend DDaeng although you will definitely have to watch an explanation video after listening to it ,because there are a lot of Korean references impossible for us Westerners to decipher, it will blow your mind NO SPOILERS HERE just a recomendation
If you watch the rise of bangtan series you can see the boys before debut.
I'm not a big fan of rap in general so I've been avoiding these latest two videos, but I've missed your shenanigans so here I am, ready to sit through over an hour fifteen. Even though it's midnight and I should meander off to sleep.
As for your future plans? I'm along for the ride. I'm not the one doing the work, I'm the one sitting back and enjoying it.
PS - I looked on your channel and it appears you've been editing yourself into some of the intro pictures. Love it. Your creativity is what keeps your fans, like me, coming back for more. 👋👋👋 💜
Very happy with your reactions, loved everything you did💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🤗🥰
My dear Roscoe, I'm enjoy your reactions, you are a very especial person, love you so much , please be safe, K-DRAMAS are the best for me.
Borahae, 😅😅😍😍😍😍😘😘😘💜💜💜
Wow, thank you!
I am rolling @ the cigarette ! I knew you were going to loose it in the ciphers !
FOR. REAL.
I love when people discover the Cyphers. They’re so good and I feel like they get better and better as they go. 💜
Also, what you were talking about at about 40:00 is so true. I believe that the depth of BTS is what draws us in and it’s also what brings ARMY together in our shared appreciation.
If you decide to check out "rise of bangtan" the series, it will explain a lot about kpop and about BTS. Its a great series but literally like 20+ chapters long, about 30min each video not including deleted scenes and bonus content.
Totally worth it though. When or if you decided to start that series, I think you will really come to better understand the industry and the boys themselves.
Anyways, I just wanted to throw that out there informatively! I love watching your reactions and look forward to continuing your journey with you!!! 💜💪 Army, fighting!
I hope you start it off with the 2021 updated Introduction to BTS by Ida S. It's really a great video that goes over so much about each individual member.
Loved this. Don't apologize for anything, do whatever you want, you can't satisfy everyone. I love your positive energy. Funfact, I've also been playing wow on and off since tbc :)
A couch pit at a BTS concert with #couchcrew aaahhh that would be so much fun! Cyphers ALWAYS gets me hype, thanks for another awesome reaction, Roscoe💜
Finally the cyphers!!!! Good job Captain!!! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I’m excited for the long journey ahead! Just found your channel and I’m all caught up now! Love you and your videos! You’re so much fun to watch. Had a lot “ROFL” moments. Thanks for being you, Mr. Roscoe! ❤️❤️❤️
Hey thanks Mbee!! Welcome! You’re all caught up already?? Wow! Well good thing we’ve got a LONG JOURNEY AHEAD OF US!!! 💜
Thank You Roscoe for another hour spent happily on the couch, I love the Cyphers, basically a comeback to the haters at the time both in the industry and outside of it.
I think i commented on one of your other vids about BTS being an onion, so many layers!
Boiled down version, K pop is Korean Pop music, It's a genre, it encompasses Singing, concepts, makeup, clothing and performances as a package.
BTS as you've probably discovered, is it's own genre, they are extremely multifaceted
Dear Lord, for a moment I thought you were announcing to stop your reactions 😄 My heart broke a little 🤣🙈
Eager for what’s to come, I’ll be here 🤗💜
Me too! Scared me, I’m ready for whatever he wants to throw our way!
I love the Cyphers! This was an awesome ride! 💜
Oh goodness, Bangtan's music is full of depth. One of the reasons why they are the only group I love to this level. They are a total package and more! Then personality wise, that's it. No words can express why I love BTS.
I started watching k dramas after becoming army. They are so wholesome and cute. I also watch Taiwanese, Japanese, Chinese, and filipino dramas.
Wooooo!!! I'm so tired now! I think this is the most couch-ercise that I've had yet! I was all over the place yet still on my couch, lol! Love it!! Love the couch!! Love you all Army!! Thanks Roscoe!! 💜
In answer to your question, I watched KDramas even before I fell down the BTS rabbit hole. If you ever check them out, you’ll find that typically the production value is far superior to American television and many times the way various scenes are framed /shot (sorry, but I don’t know the proper lingo to use) looks very deliberate, considered and artistic. “Something in the Rain” has very good examples of what I’m talking about.
As long as you are talking about BTS no matter what the channel is called I'll be there to watch and enjoy.

🤩🥳😜 luv you Lug! #couchpit
Love K Dramas ,watch them all the time can’t be bothered with western dramas any more. There are differences culturally ,and a lot of seemingly innocents and respect in them. The cinematography is usually fantastic and attention to detail just like Korean MV’s . Don’t get me wrong there are some duds out there but overall high quality, good stories and wonderful actors. Some of my favourites are….
1. Sisyphus (set in the future/ present, many BTS references.)
2. Hwarang (set in ancient Korea. V from BTS is in it, funny and dramatic)
3.Live up to your name (set in modern times/ doctor from past)
4. Extra Curricular. ( younger type of series ,dramatic and violent)
5. Vincenzo. (Set in modern times, highly watched and enjoyed by many.
6. Sky castles ( parent/ child relationships, school system in Korea etc…
I have tried to pick different styles of dramas.
You're going to love them more once you see Run BTS!
I guess we'll be seeing lots of 1-hr videos of you watching a single episode of Run 😂
Lol you do you.
The lives usually have English subtitles as you already know and those are the best to watch in my personal opinion because you can feel the emotion. The ones done in the studio don’t have the same punch.
Cypher IV my fav
Me too -I have so much going on that I haven’t gotten into discord yet!!
Raising hand -been watching Korean dramas for many years now and absolutely love them. If you are going to start with one I recommend “crash Landing on you” on Netflix as your first.
Love your reactions Roscoe, be healthy to enjoy BTS in a long run. Please don't smoke we care about you to catch uo with the boys.
to answer your question about the DulSet lyrics and why some parts of words are different colors: as far as I can see, it's to highlight similarities in pronunciation. for example, it had "mentor" and "memento" with "mento" highlighted in both. in Korean, the word mentor is pronounced "men-to" without the r that is present in the English spelling. then that same sound is highlighted in the word "memento." it's just to emphasize the wordplay used in the lyrics 😊 I hope this helped!
The Cyphers are sooooo much better live than the recordings. And the recordings are 🔥🔥🔥 so that’s saying a lot! The medley is good but the stage mixes are better for each one individually. Favs in order
