Love Branson! January is a slower time of the year, but still lots of things to do! So, if you don't like lots of traffic, the off-season is a great time to visit. More things will be opening up again in Mid-March. My family has chosen to live here and we love it!!!
I've been to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg a few times and had a lot of fun and I would love to visit Branson but being that I don't drive the transportation in Branson is pretty limited where else Pigeon Forge's trolley system goes to quite a few places including Dollywood,Gatlinburg and Severeville.
Thanks for watching. There is a trolly downtown, but that's pretty much where it stays. On the plus side, if you stay at the right hotel they might have a shuttle service or be within walking distance of certain things.
Be careful though crime is horrible over here the highest in Missouri and almost the highest in America it so much sucks living in Branson but it’s so fun to visit here but don’t go to a single neighborhood every neighborhoods have some type of crime especially break ins

You've either been affected by some sort of crime or someone you know has. Branson is awesome to visit and it's very inexpensive to live in and around the areas. You should try living in California and Arizona, you might not say what your saying and most that move away from here are right back because it's a good place to be.

I cancelled my Disneyworld trip due to COVID restrictions with my employer regarding quarantining after air travel. But, I could come to Branson in about 11 hours. I have a 14 year old daughter & wonder if there is enough to keep busy? I want to see The Petersens (love them from RUclips). And other shows look fun too...but do you think it would be an OK excursion?

A lot of people like it. One drawback, some have said that when the trees are full, it is not as scenic. This time of the year however, the trees don't have all of their leaves yet. Also, the service is good. It should be a fun time!
Yea it is at least only for visiting I lived here for a year the crime is everywhere even in schools and the neighborhoods and a lot of robberies the drivers are so crazy also and I got involved in a crime my grandpa got shot he died and I moved the heck outta here not even visiting trying to forget about this place and also I moved to Colorado I feel a lot safer and a lot more beautiful than Branson and more fun actually wayyyyyy more fun but at the same time Branson is a kid friendly thing to do just make sure they don’t walk off all by their selfs and there was a crime a week ago at the outlets of Branson Mo but I’m glad you like Branson still love Branson just really hated living here
Went there ‘cause we were in the vicinity.... had a great time ! Attended 3 different shows and well worth the money . Very affordable . Lodging was ‘ no problem ‘ and driving around town was relatively fast and easy . Plan on visiting again soon . Family friendly and economical .

Thanks for the update. I'm from Mo. and went to Branson and Silver Dollar City for end of school yr picnics. I moved away from Mo in 1975 and haven't lived there since. I still have family in Ozark,Rolla,and St Louis. We are planning a trip this coming spring. We are driving from the west coast so we plan on seeing everyone. Since my wife and I are both retired, we will have no timeline. It will be good to have my feet on Mo soil. Lol
My husband always took back roads around and in Branson. He was a trash man and knew his way around every road! I just moved away from the area last fall. I’ll be back this summer for vacation!

It depends how you look at it. Some people enjoy Branson for more than shows and "stars" while others only want to see big names. It was great before the "Big Boom" of the 90s. There are positives and negatives, like most towns.
@@dannybransonusa this is beautiful place and a great place and area to live, most the people giving negative reviews are most likely under 50 year of age and have lived no where out of Missouri nor seen outside of it.. I came here in late 90s then left after I year I felt lost at first, I knew someday I would move back and I'd want to own. Came back and now I do. But lived in big cities and when one goes away from this, one appreciates everything here. Including the kind people. Try breaking down in AZ watching cars go by..here I've had lots of help people are kind and helpful here, neat place beautiful animals great fishing this I really like allot as for the new aquarium, I've been masked up too and It's a awesome place I use to have membership in Springfield from aquarium etc but that new aquarium in Branson is so much better for children Basspro is good too I love that place as well but if one is in Branson that new one is great. Hope you make another when it's real green out..what a lovely place
Personally, I think some of the local talent is better than the stars! Plus, there's alot more to do here if you don't like the shows. We've lived here 4 years and still haven't seen everything we'd like to see - and they are adding more and more activities all the time for people of all ages. Also, lots of great restaurants!!!

At one time, The Branson Strip was called The World's Largest Parking Lot. These days we have several side roads, and the town has spread out a bit.
