At this rate anyone that plans to upgrade might as well get the S24 Ultra if you want all those functions, especially bluetooth on the S-Pen. Now I have some thoughts about this. Removing bluetooth on the S-Pen could contribute better battery life on the phone, even though a small difference. My next thought would be that Samsung is slowly removing the S-Pen integration on at least the S Ultra line, but not really removing the ability. Basically reverting back to how the S21 Ultra was -- capable of using the S-Pen but sold separately with bluetooth. And if you purchase one, maybe Samsung will discount you with a case containing a slot for the stylus. Last prediction. in the future, the S-Pen would be integrated into the Z Fold series. And actual slot in the phone to put in the S-Pen and have bluetooth functions. It would mean the Z Folds will now also contain the features of the discontinued Galaxy Note series.
@@jmanakajosh9354 they have been copying Apple the moment they removed the headphone jack when the Note 10 series was launched. S-Pen with a flagship phone or even their flagship tablet is a Samsung signature/trademark that identifies Samsung. The great thing about having the S-Pen is that it’s very precise, especially in hard to touch areas. Removing the S-Pen is like Apple not selling air pods anymore.
@ Samsung has been copying Apple since they started removing the headphone jack in the Note 10 series. Now they removed the micro SD expansion slot and not even including a charger in the box. S-Pen is a signature trademark of Samsung in their flagship phones and flagship tablets. You can even use a Galaxy Tab S-Pen on an S Ultra phone. By selling an S-Pen separately, that would be the equivalent of Apple selling a charger separately. But the difference is that the charger is more a necessity than the S-Pen being an optional accessory.
I hardly use the s pen, when I do I love it but it's rare. I personally use the phone and for me ditching those pointy sides and offering a very generous trade value was enough for me to preorder the new one. I'd never get what they offered in trade if I sold my S24 Ultra privately, plus 4 free cases and screen protectors. Looking forward to getting my white/silver S25U
I had a price increase for sure from last year. Last year I got the s24 ultra 1TB and the a9+ tablet. was able to use education discount on the site, and was no check which was cool. This year, could not use that discount without a verification. I wound up getting the s25 ultra 512Gb and the a9+ tablet again. Last year I paid 835.34. This year I paid 1045.45

The only use that the s pen had for me was to use it as a remote camera shutter. What is the point of staying with Samsung when competitors in EU have better cameras, almost same chipset, bigger batteries, higher charge wattage and are cheaper..............One good thing is more reliable monthly security patches, but the one ui 7 has been so late to the party...... They should remove the s pen or the plus to have the same cameras as the ultra (In my opinion).
This is a good review but there's other reviews and more to come that go way more in-depth of the changes that they did. There's quite a bit actually for the good.
Awesome video!! I am pretty excited for the SD 8 Elite chipset and One UI 7.0!! I am looking forward to your reviews on these phones as I am in the market to get a new phone as my old phone is on its last OS update!! Keep up the great work, I always enjoy watching your honest and informative videos
I actually love the S-Pen functionality. Especially when taking photos. To pull the pen out before waking the phone to write handwritten notes is just awesome to me. Yeah, I don't think it was a bad buy to secure my S 24 Ultra 2 months ago.
The trade in off is really good but I agree with your previous video. If someone has a s24 ultra don't upgrade (unless you want top of the line which honestly the spec bump and exclusive Ai aren't worth it). If I had a s22 ultra or below I would definitely upgrade. Unrelated but I wish they did navy blue for the ultra. For looks I would upgrade 😂
The pre-order deals seem to be a bit inferior to last year's, at least with the Plus model. Last year they offered a free storage upgrade that was truly free, independent of the Samsung credits. This year, you get less credits and if you want the storage upgrade you have to spend the credits to get it. And after the credits are applied, you still have to pay an extra $20. The $100 in credits doesn't quite cover the $120 cost of the upgrade.
On the assumption that S24 Ultra receives most feature updates from One UI 7.0, are there any features that the S24 Ultra will miss out aside from 50MP camera?
Respect to your channel and love ya . You convinced me to even get a Xperia 1 VI. But Samsung tried us with this phone. That being said, Ill get an S24 Ultra for my backup phone. If I want One UI I'll use a Samsung Tablet. Phone wise its either import or PIXEL. Your channel is great and still awesome and will continue to grow. But for the near future, I'm done with Samsung Ultra series.
I pre-ordered the jade green, which looks fantastic. Haven't had this style of phone since the Note 20 Ultra, and I'm pretty excited. My daily driver right now is a Z Fold 6, but I wanted something to play around with, so I got the Ultra. 🙂 I don't mind that they got rid of the air functionality because I already have either my watch ultra or my ring to snap the photo so I'm good and even on the Note 20 Ultra, I didn't use the air stuff so. 😅
1:50 with all due respect big brthr if that's the case then remove the s pen completely that will save cost instead gve bttr display like the m14 instead of last years m13
In summary, it has a faster processor, and one of the cameras is improved, but the S pen is decontented. Everything else is software which will come to the older phones per Samsung’s update commitment.
I'm going to wait for all the reviews. Et cetera I can't make it through one of these presentations, they're just too much. So far i'm underwhelmed, but we'll see what everyone says.

So with that said, I am over the loss of Bluetooth on the S-Pen and pre-ordered mine today in white :) ...Also getting $750 trade credit for my S23 Ultra which is good considering on Swappa the S23 Ultra 512 GB is selling for under $700.
I love the s pen and use it regularly.
Pre ordered the 25 ultra and looking forward to it
Very cool!
Kind of a dumb question, but if we reserved, how do we access the $50 credit?
I had to call samsung they told to all after get one get the $50 credit
@mvp4023 So did you buy the phone, and then call?
I mean this sounds like a good plan. But are we sure they're not just copying Apple and next year there will be no S pen at all?
Is there still a shutter lag?
I don’t care about the S pen function loss. I am very concerned about the issue that they had with the screen. I hope they fixed that problem.
I'm pretty sure that's not an issue anymore
Totally use the s pen and features!! Id rather have the note lol they killed that too
I hardly use the s pen, when I do I love it but it's rare.
If you don’t use SPen and hate harsh corners - s24 plus was the way to go. No need to break something that wasn’t broken.
@onlinecomment didn't love the cameras on the plus, I did try one out for about a week. Definitely preferred the ultra
@@samanthamarasca1177 fair enough.
How's the camera?
I’m start testing it today. I’ll be posting photos
Sorry to hear that
Your the only one that always says, "affiliate link below". I respect you so much for that. Your honesty is valued brother! About the 25 ultra tho, I daily a 22 ultra and I'm like hmmmm I'll switch when the 26 is out 😂😂.
I will still get updates for 2 years so ....
It's all about transparency! I'm glad you appreciate it. The S22 Ultra is still a good phone. I don't blame you if it's meeting all of your needs.
S24 ulta user here and did use S-Pen gestures, scrolling websites etc. Can I use my old S24 S-Pen with the new S25 Ultra and still have gestures?
No, it won't charge, and probably not even fit.
Question, in terms of taxes, do they base the taxes on the full price before the discounts? My taxes were 110.00 so assuming they do.
Can you use a spen from a s23 ultra for Bluetooth functionality.
It won't fit but idk about it working
Only reason I used the spen was for the camera shutter button...
End of the day I'm coming from the S22 Ultra and this will be a huge upgrade for me, as would the 24 but I want the Elite chip
Will the s24 ultra s-pen fit in the s25 ultra slot to use as the camera shutter?
Probably not
I wonder if you can use the old S pen bluetooth with S25U.
Does it have satellite messaging? Is the camera button lagging like always? 😅
If it doesn't im skipping!
Remains to be seen. I’m in the event now lol. They didn’t tell us yesterday
Imagine standing next to someone who has the 24 ultra and you have the 25 ultra and want to take pictures with the s pen😢
😂😂😂😂
The trade in off is really good but I agree with your previous video. If someone has a s24 ultra don't upgrade (unless you want top of the line which honestly the spec bump and exclusive Ai aren't worth it). If I had a s22 ultra or below I would definitely upgrade.
Unrelated but I wish they did navy blue for the ultra. For looks I would upgrade 😂
I'm glad that I did not wait for this thing and just bought a One Plus 12 (16 / 512) for $650 from Best Buy last Thanksgiving.
Does it have better anti reflection?
On the assumption that S24 Ultra receives most feature updates from One UI 7.0, are there any features that the S24 Ultra will miss out aside from 50MP camera?
Respect to your channel and love ya . You convinced me to even get a Xperia 1 VI. But Samsung tried us with this phone. That being said, Ill get an S24 Ultra for my backup phone. If I want One UI I'll use a Samsung Tablet. Phone wise its either import or PIXEL. Your channel is great and still awesome and will continue to grow. But for the near future, I'm done with Samsung Ultra series.
Does the phone feel fast? How are the animations?
I pre-ordered the jade green, which looks fantastic. Haven't had this style of phone since the Note 20 Ultra, and I'm pretty excited. My daily driver right now is a Z Fold 6, but I wanted something to play around with, so I got the Ultra. 🙂
I don't mind that they got rid of the air functionality because I already have either my watch ultra or my ring to snap the photo so I'm good and even on the Note 20 Ultra, I didn't use the air stuff so. 😅
I use it, can i buy an s24 spen to use?
I used the pen for the shutter.. I hope there's a way via the ultra watch
Yes. You can use the ultra Watch
Pre ordered the s25 ultra white/silver 512 unlocked doing the Samsung trade in with s24 ultra 900$ off!!
We going backwards no Bluetooth s pen
Mag safe? Qi2?
1:50 with all due respect big brthr if that's the case then remove the s pen completely that will save cost instead gve bttr display like the m14 instead of last years m13
Facts
Flossy Carter is going to be pissed about no Bluetooth S-Pen. He’s going to roast Samsung. You watch. 🤣🤣🤣
It's already not his number 1 this year. I'm waiting for the roasting to happen
What were they thinking? Remote shutter with s-pen was the coolest feature I used it frequently.
Thank you Adam.
Adam, where there any talks about the S25 edge.
Yes at the end I saw it on someone video
In summary, it has a faster processor, and one of the cameras is improved, but the S pen is decontented. Everything else is software which will come to the older phones per Samsung’s update commitment.
I prefer the S24U design, the shape, rear camera look and I prefer the bluetooth S-Pen, so S24U it is for me.
Please do the full review along with photo samples
Oh I am. I get mine today.
Was about ready to upgrade but now ? I don't know if i will purchase a Samsung phone. Sad because i have been with them since the galaxy S 3 .
I'm going to wait for all the reviews. Et cetera I can't make it through one of these presentations, they're just too much. So far i'm underwhelmed, but we'll see what everyone says.
Good call.
I dont use the pen with air gesture, i just take notes but rarely use it
I don't use the spen air gesture. But, I like the look of the phone definitely upgrading.
