I had an 85 Buick Park Avenue, but it was the standard one. The tops are beautiful but holy crap I never realized how much was involved in having to repair one.
Not the same procedure for the vast vinyl top on standard park avenues, that particular top was an Ultra exclusive feature. The standard ones weren’t nearly as complicated.
I always loved this generation of the both the Buick park ave and the Oldsmobile Regency 98 and the Delta 88 I always called them baby Cadillacs because these 3 cars when loaded with options were like the Cadillac
I'm with you. This generation of Park Ave and 98 Regency were most definitely baby Cadillacs! They had pretty much everything a Sedan deVille had at the time, with the exception of a V-8. I had both the Regency and the Park Avenue of this generation, and I would say that neither of them drove quite as heavy and smooth as the Sedan deVille. The main downside with the Cadillac was the 4.1 liter V-8 was not a good engine long-term. The engines on the Olds and Buick were bulletproof. Loved these cars.
Jimmy Lai lol I love the restoration of the vinyl roof... the emblems and the moldings will be damaged and "must be replaced".....I'd hate to do a restoration on these cars- Jimmy I just picked up a 1990 Ultra- once the weather is nicer I am going to post a vid- you show share a video of yours on youtube
Imagine the horror for Park Avenue Ultra owners when they take it to a glass shop for a smashed rear window claim, and 5 minutes later they see techs spraying house cleaners on it and ripping apart the roof.

You have to wonder how much that vinyl top improved sound deadening. Surely having all those layers on there absorbed sound.
a wonderful car, I have one since new, its 24 years old, still running like new. they don't make car like that anymore.
The Lumbar & Massage Options On These Buick Park Avenue Seats Were Similiar To The Functions On My BMW 745Li Seats

Hard top Ultra please😂
Seriously tho! That top procedure was INTENSE!
Buick took front wheel drive luxury very seriously lacking nothing in terms comfortable interior high tech features and sophisticated train.❤
my grandpa had the coolest electra park avenue. we sold it to our mail man of 25+ years

How could you do that vinyl job without swearing??
I think there's a reason the audio from the techs doing the install is muted...
I have a 87 Electra
