The thing that makes Ems verse so legendary, is how much emotion he puts into it, you can tell everything he saying is coming from the heart, it's genuine and I love that on this verse
I mean in this song there’s definitely a lot of emotion behind it since it’s proof related, BUT the BARS these bars are insane specially the part Ali and Dalai Lama 🤯 verse starts of CRAZY and just gets crazier with the world play. By far best Eminem’s verse.

At this point we have to admit Eminem is the Tom Brady of bars. He obviously just has something wiring in this brain that makes this stuff all come easy to him. He can write the bars, fill them with multiple meanings, rhyme in very complex ways, but also have the ability to spit those out in a way that sounds good on a track. That is a skill that is much harder than many may understand.
The Dalai Lama line is a triple. Nobody ever notices the Salvador Dali reference. Dali was a surreal abstract artist whose works are usually familiar but hauntingly twisted. Melted clocks is his most known work, but he's saying "I could've made shit get real weird and abstract with the Llama (gun)".
I thought I heard, I could turned Ali with the Llama.

I think it was more likely to be Dali than Ali just based on the pronunciation and delivery, as well as the fact that Ali didn't go to war/shoot people, and wasn't known for being particularly violent outside the ring, so it makes less sense why he would say he's like him with a gun than my Dali explanation. But this is Eminem we're talking about. He could've meant both.

This is crazy that you’re reacting to it right now, this is my favorite song ever and the first time I ever heard it was two days after I tried to shoot myself in the head and I was laying in my bed wanting to die hating myself, detoxing from drugs/pills, and I got an alert on my phone from RUclips saying that it just dropped so I gave it a listen and it blew me away especially when he said “Fill up a syllable clip like a refillable SCRIPT”! Yelawolf didn’t fully rap pretty much for the reason you said to setup the perfect song and build up to Em, plus Most rappers try to out rap Em when they are on a track with him and Yela is very original so he did his own thing, even though he is very capable of getting close to Em(obviously not tying or passing him but close)
I think you missed the line after “black sheep, worst thing they ever herd/heard” it was “ when I’m counted out”, like counting sheep to try and sleep

em writing these lyrics is incredible.. but it's equally impressive that you can decipher almost all of it without even reading the lyrics, just listening to it is enough.. which is crazy considering the bundle of rhymes, doubles, triples, slants etc em puts in each of his songs..
Blacking out was referring to doing things wrong, losing God's grace (losing the light). The whole sheep/shepherd reference was a reference to Jesus being the shepherd and he's a sheep, but he's also a black sheep (odd one out) and embraces that.

I personally think this is Em's best verse. The structure alone is amazing. But it also obviously means a lot to him. Some of the craziest flows, the multi-syllable rhymes, the schemes, AND he still gave us doubles. This is my personal favorite from Em. I also agree with you how great the contrast from Yela just tied it all together nicely. One of your better reactions, btw!
