Cautious, piecemeal and flawed - I agree Vlad. Excessive caution has proven ineffective against russia and I am so tired of waiting for the timid old men, like Scholz & Biden, to become a real ally - one who wants Ukraine to win.
I'm curious, what does winning look like to you? I've generally been of the view that the war must necessarily be attritional; therefore, incrementalism reigns supreme because the war is only winnable for the West if it's drawn out, which is conversely why all the initial Russian calculations were for a hard fast attack to force Zelensky to flee and leave a vacuum. The issue with this approach is that it puts the onus on Russia to call it a day at some point, but the likelihood is that Putin becomes increasingly desperate to salvage some kind of victory from the conflict which may then lead to a sudden escalation on his part. What would your solution be? A large increase in Western support which runs the risk of Russia involving it's other more powerful allies? Forcing Russia out of Ukraine militarily seems to me to require a massive push from the West, one which is unlikely to be left unchallenged by Russia and the other modern "Axis" powers and it's that risk which concerns me the most. I think slow and steady has to be the approach to this conflict, as dissatisfying as that is due to the human cost Ukraine has to pay; but, I'd be interested to hear different views because I'm certainly open to them.
No you really can't, any more. You even have to prepare yourself for the possibility that the United States may be the next Russia now. Be wary of the US. It's not going to be sane much longer.

With Russia increasingly intensifying attacks and now the North Korean aspect, this needed to happen. Especially if when Trump gets into office the lines freeze, Ukraine needs any advantage right now that it can get to hold them back.
My second thought is that Ukraine will get no more such missiles from the US so allowing their use now is very limited from a US perspective. How it affects the British and French position could be interesting now that this rubicon has been crossed.
And like I said many times before there’s not going to be any kind of nuclear escalation. It will be proven in time that it was all a bluff and could only be a bluff. Because as soon as you launch one nuclear weapon, you’re sure to have at least 100 coming right back back at you. Moscow understands this very clearly…
It depends on the type of a nuclear weapon and the target of the strike. If, say, Russia deploys a tactical nuclear device in Ukraine, it does not at all entail a strategic nuclear counterattack against Russia. If it were so, it would immediately trigger a strategic nuclear exchange of mutually catastrophic scale. That’s why they’ve developed what is called a ladder of escalation.
@@johncooper6073 I disagree. The collapse of Russia's technical knowhow is well known. Systems they need have been cannibalised and corrupted. Good. Trump needs to remember he is president of a global superpower now, he is not campaigning anymore to some rural hillbillies who listen to Tucker Cucker and don't know how the world works.
By calling proper responses escalations, Russia is able to escalate continuously on their own. Iran tries the same thing but Israel isn’t having it and is currently bullying the bullies.
Way to go, Joe! Now go back in time 2 years and do it. Also, while you're there, why dont you drop out and let a primary happen! Like you said you would when you ran in 2020.
Can we be sure there's not a hidden/classified allied end-game strategy, i.e. to let RU exhaust its infrastructure, liquid assets, military stockpiles, people, etc -- resulting in severe economic crisis (stagflation, shortages, bank failures) and social breakdown (internal mass migrations, crime wave, riots, fleeing govt officials)? Hasn't this scenario already begun?
I'm sure that idea is at least influencing the decisions being made. Avoid escalation, weaken the enemy by letting them burn through their resources fighting a third party and then enjoy their demise with minimal cost to yourself. Now is that a planned and agreed upon strategy of all of 'The West'? Probably not. My guess is, it's more of a 'we all know how this game is being played, so let's avoid admitting moral bankruptcy by not openly admitting to it even amongst ourselves' kinda thing.
Vlad!!!! I watch several channels covering the war. You broke it first in RUclips. Love your balanced analysis. Negotiations end wars. Politics loses wars.
We can't send our troops the way North Korea can, so our response to that Russian escalation which works in part as a deterrent to such escalation has to be something else. When the Kremlin decided to get North Korean troops involved he asked for this. There is something to be said for having saved this for that, so a response beyond our existing support for Ukraine was possible... given that we could guess that Putin might do this at some point.
As someone who fuly expects Trump to abandon Ukraine, I see this as a nice but mostly meaningless last gesture by Biden. Had he done this a year ago it might've mattered.

Yay, hooray, woo-hoo! 💙💛🇺🇦🇺🇦
Better late than never. I figured he'd do this before leaving office, just to make it more awkward for Trump to potentially rescind the permission.
Good. Trump needs to remember he is president of a global superpower now, he is not campaigning anymore to some rural hillbillies who listen to Tucker Cucker and don't know how the world works.
Thank you, Vlad. ❤
There is no restart for our world when it comes to your end game nuclear strategy.
By calling proper responses escalations, Russia is able to escalate continuously on their own. Iran tries the same thing but Israel isn’t having it and is currently bullying the bullies.
As long as it takes. Well. It. Takes. Long.
Way to go, Joe! Now go back in time 2 years and do it. Also, while you're there, why dont you drop out and let a primary happen! Like you said you would when you ran in 2020.
Jake Sullivan can't be happy...and that makes me happy 😆
Thanks Vlad.....
Yup.
Well said Vlad.
Excellent.
Hasn't this scenario already begun?
always been in the mix... always. war is a game fought at many levels always and mostly invisible
Let 'em fly 🫡.
Vlad!!!! I watch several channels covering the war. You broke it first in RUclips. Love your balanced analysis. Negotiations end wars. Politics loses wars.
Well done Ukraine.
Hopefully Putin continues to humiliate Trump by sharing photos of his naked wife and Trump’s ego eventually cracks 🤞🤞
It will still matter because it may provoke a nuclear response from a desperate and irrational Putin which could prove catastrophic for the world.
YEA! Wonderful news.
