3rd Story: I would like to add that if they were to put their finances together or that she helps him out. She should have had a say in what Car he gets. It was his decision and she shouldnt have to pay for that
Agreed! Some comments on the post pointed out something interesting: what if -consciously or not- he's jealous of his wife's ex? As in - he's a deadbeat dad but you're covering financially for him, so why not help me out? Which is a ridiculous argument, but might explain his unreasonable request
For the guys being broke story: in 2013 when I bought my brand new car (in Canada) I went looking to multiple brands and the average to buy a brand new car financed on 7 yrs was around 525$/month (Ford 650$/month for a Festa, Mazda 625$/month for a Mazda 3, Chevrolet 455$ for a Spark, and last but not least Hyundai 370$/month for an accent) at the same time I was looking for an SUV and the cheapest one was Hyundai Tucson for 560$/month. Knowing my financial situation then, I went with the Accent. That 800$/Month sounds like a brand new Hyundai Pallisade (even the 2022 second hand ones are at 836$/weeks right now). Brand new cars are extremely costly
I went on a trip with my boyfriend. We had a 3 and half hour drive to a wedding. I put on your podcast while driving for the whole time. He was bopping his head to the intro/outro song and he was laughing at some parts. When we got to our destination I ask how he liked you guys and he said "yeah I really enjoyed them. I didn't think I was going to pay attention while playing my switch but I listened to a majority of it. Can we listen to them more on the way back?" He then asked me questions about you guys. I was thrilled he like you guys so much.
currently catching up on the videos ive not had time to listen to, you guys are my favorite to listen to while i sew and play games like animal crossing. keep it up!
So, I agree that the guy getting a SUV that requires an $800 payment is the a-hole... in this kind of scenario the hosts would encourage communication between spouses and promote a sense of desire to make sure that your spouse was okay. To an extent. It seemed like alex just wanted to talk trash about the op. Granted he did make crappy decisions. But him trying to talk to his spouse about their finances is not what made him the a-hole.
Also, ive met more kids and teenagers with more respect and common sense than grown ass adults its seriously mind boggling!!! If i ever called someone the b word when i was younger id be slapped into next week or knocked so hard my ancestors wwould feel it as my mom and dad liked saying lol!
Story 3: Technically, the sister isn't wrong. However, these two aren't doing joint finances. That's the difference. They have their own money, so OP isn't limited by anything.
Yeah I thought the same, I usually listen to them in the car with the volume all the way up on my phone, and had to put in headphones because I could barely hear it
That kid who imitated their dad is hilarious and 100000% justified.
Also I freakin loved this episode. Let the chaos flow! 😂
As of right now Sean is probably the only religious texan I slightly trust.
I like when Josh is here but I live for the chaos when he isn't

Awesome job, guys. Loved the ladies visiting. But! I'm looking forward to having the 3 of you back together after your break!
Hey Josh! I'm glad to know you got your passport on time and actually left. Hope you and Sienna enjoyed your trip 🙂

From what I remember, the 4th story, the guy was actually recording it

Is the audio a bit lot or is it just me? I listen to the podcast on my way to work and had to turn it all the way up.

It's a little small
