Wow! What a powerful, haunting and mesmerising song. 🥺 Her voice is beyond pure isn’t it?! You did well to get through that one Chief! Hugs to you, we got you. 🫶🏻
Aurora knows how to make you feel. She’s definitely worth a dive down the rabbit hole. She doesn’t always make you cry though, but she does often make you think x
Well Chief, this one I did not expect!! But thank you. My nieces are very passionate about their alternative metal/music tastes (it's definitely a genetic trait in our family). It was the youngest (21yo next month) that eventually got me into Sleep Token and Bad Omens. But she loves Aurora as well and I just didn't get it. But her artists heart has connected strongly with Aurora and she will be seeing her in Sydney the night after her birthday. After hearing and seeing this tonight, I get it. It's almost like Nick Cave was in the room with her. It's stunning. Thank you so much for this legend!!
She was around 19 in this video, even though many thinks she looks younger, me included. The video is from Aug 2015, and she turned 19 in June 2015, she is 28 now.
First my brother..a big hug to you and thank you for your vulnerability (I'll say it a million times again I'm sure). I was hesitant on this one, with the title of the song and your thumbnail, I knew it would be a tough one to get through. The countdown and then the two lines "He holds the gun against my head, I close my eyes and bang I am dead" are just crushing.
Yea she is able to make you feel (and think about some things or meaning). Her music is an Art (or she is true Artist in my opinion) and it has something more then just a song. Cool reaction!
Oof! That is such a gorgeous but so deep and emotional song. I noticed that another commentor mentioned Nick Cave. I have a suggestion for you that's along the lines of this Aurora track, but it's Nick Cave (who I'm a big fan of) and Kylie Minogue. The song is called "Where The Wild Roses Grow". The album it's on is called "Murder Ballads" which was released in February 1996, so it's another one that isn't new. And then I have a second serving suggestion (intention wording there) for a track called "The Annihilation Sequence" by Jordan Reyne. The album it's on has the same title. This is more of an angry song but is still a bit emotive. The drums on it though are brilliant and very tribal, so I think you might like it if just for that. And here's a hug for you as well 🤗
this one gets me every time. I wonder if she is realy ill and death is better than going through the desease. Or is he mentaly ill and kills her without her consent? If you REALY want to cry with AURORA listen to "why did you have to go a place I couldnt follow" if you are ready for it. She wrote the song for a friend of hers, who was killed in a caraccidant. And played it on the funeral. Thanks for the huggs, likewise in return.
For me the count down is everything, as she (the caractere) know and agree to what is coming. Some legend sais that she wrote this one after reading an article about a man endind his ill wife, to save her from terrible suffering. I kind of like that explaination. Big Hug your way ❤🩹. Aurora is a soul healer for so many, she never make us cry for nothing, it's always good for your soul ;-)
Aurora's live performance of this at the Nobel Peace Prize awards is mesmerizing

Simply the best most expressive emotive singer on the planet . No comparisons
there is a live version she sang at the nobel prize event.
Yeah, and it's even better and more intense like this.

I don't think I have ever listened this without crying. So we are here with you.

The 2024 wants me to let you know, that it is not gone, it's partly integrated in you. :)
Yes, she has a way of drawing you into her world! 👍🤟

I second that!
She has an amazing voice, and I love how she looses herself to the song.
If I may, I'd suggest "Infections of a different kind - HAIK concert"
Thank you very much, glad I found your channel, subscribed.
Love Aurora ❤
