Oddly enough , this was my first purchase of Zeppelin. After this, I became a hard core fan.

Their drummer was a Legend. RIP. Still is, though. The groove he was playing in they call The Pocket, he just sat right in there driving the song beautifully.

Loved the way it ends. He's talking about how excited he is to see her and how he is worried because she didn't show, and on the end he's waiting on the wrong block. So funny.

Tango! "In Through The Out Door" was Led Zeppelin's last studio album. It came packaged in a brown paper bag sort of wrapper to hide the sepia toned cover artwork beneath, of which there were several different varieties. One of them became the thumbnail for the clip. I don't know which. I was in middle school when the album dropped, so I only bought one copy of the record. I've heard the sepia artwork changed to color when water was applied, but I never tried it. "In Through The Out Door" also marked drummer John Bonham's last record with Led Zeppelin before his untimely death. He really shows off his odd time signature chops on "Fool in the Rain". That guitar solo is a scorcher too.
Yes, that's Robert Plant singing. The only other singer to ever appear on a Led Zeppelin album was Welsh songstress Sandy Denny. She joined Robert Plant for the duet "The Battle of Evermore" off Led Zeppelin IV. The band even assigned a special rune symbol to her in the liner notes to the album. If you've got a thing for angelic voices, then lend your ears to Sandy Denny for a time. Her work with Fairport Convention is quite masterful. For a taste, check out "Who Knows Where the Time Goes?", "Farewell, Farewell", "The Ballad Of Easy Rider", and "She Moves Through The Fair" among others.

I like how Led Zeppelin incorporated different sounds into their songs. Always liked this one - especially those drums. John Bonham, the band’s legendary drummer, died not long after this album was released. His loss effectively ended Led Zeppelin. Great song and reaction! ☮️🤟

Empress, to me this is the best song off the In Through the Out Door.. LP The soft-shoe arrangment, Brazilian-Style Coda, just great musicianship from a band that wouldv'e kicked azz in the 80's as well, had they stayed together.

Great tune, it’s cool you dug it. Seems the most piano-y Zeppelin tune.

this is a song that John Paul Jones and Robert plant came up with because they liked the sounds they were hearing when they visited Argentina 1978 world cup, it's also a song they have never performed live

Yes that Robert plant this was some of there last work before the drummer john bonham died he had 40 shots vodka that killed him. Led zeppelin had thought about continuing with zeppelin even had secret auditions for a new drummer the reason I know this is my dad auditioned for them I even have tapes. But they decided to disband zeppelin. Jimmy pages would have been the next to die, His harion addiction had taken its toll he only 90 pounds. Jimmy page said this song was his masterpiece. For the song to work john had to play off bet. Not many drummers can play out of time on purpose,
