Trucks seem to get just as fancy as most cars with the wood trim which I like. I know some drivers in other videos outside of Prime Inc drivers don't like automatic for many reasons but I can see advantages of less wear & tear on knees, going through cities with stop lights when I have up & down shift & ect but automatic still gets the job done. I know my opinion doesn't matter but just saying. God Bless & thank you drivers what you do to help keep America running.😊
Hello dear friend. I watched your beautiful video from Iran. Peterbilt is my favorite tractor trailer. I have a question about dimension. How long is the length of this tractor?
Yes I did that was in March then I had an family emergency but that is all taking care of I want to start in May I think I have to redo my application again
For not being a driver I like this truck better than the International I saw in another video. Lol I've heard this joke when I drove a school bus about the turn signal fluid.
The King's Servant TMC did a study. Dropping top speed to 62 not only improved mpg but reduced overall maintenance costs by 30%, because of the reduced stress on the truck. May not work for your business model but probably does for others. Cheers
62 mph at 1400 to 1500 rpm is still stressing the engine and engine components out, still using more fuel than it should because the engine is laboring harder compared to one with higher torque rating. If it's working harder to move the weight the it's using more fuel, cutting into the bottom line. That is why you spec the truck out for the area of operation and the ammount of weight you are hauling but large companies won't do that because they would rather go on the advice of someone who has never driven a truck for more than a few miles. Less stress? When was the last time that you found one of these used castrated trucks that was not completely worn out by 750k miles? I'm not going to debate this with you but I will say this....2.60 rears, 18 spd and a military spec (750 hp) Cat in a 379 that constantly get 9.5 per mile with over a million miles on it speaks for itself.
62 MPH top speed is just a rolling traffic jam. On a two lane Interstate in the States with 70mph truck limits you learn to look for Prime, May etc. trucks ahead of you because you just know they are going to create passing hazzards.
Call Fed Ex custom critical and find a owner needing a driver, you may end up running team but that is where the big money is at. If you are ready to stay out for months at a time this is the place plus you will always be in top of the line trucks that are nearly new. I brought home $1750 to $2500 a week and that is the honest truth, I have zero reason to lie to you.
@2:09 is this back in action?? Now that the minimum mileage is back to 30k miles does the additional $300 kick in if you’re eligible to upgrade but not called in to upgrade?? Thanks
Great question! With the required TNT mileage down to 30k, you are paid a guarantee of $700/week throughout this phase. If you remain on a trainer's truck and you reach 40k miles, your pay is then bumped up to $800/week.
It just depends on the inventory when you come through the upgrade process to get into your own truck. We have a rotating selection of trucks. The largest amount is Freightliner, then Peterbilt, then International. Once you lease with Prime for at least 3 months, you can order a specific truck (color, make, model, upgrades).
Unfortunately, we have recently updated our hiring areas, and we are not currently hiring out of FL, GA, and CA at this time. We hope to have positions open up in the near future, but we do not have a tentative date.

Not into Paccars or Automatics, also the truck is waaaaay to new for me. I wouldn't work at Prime. Oh, here is a question. Why does Peterbilt call that the Ultra Loft? All they did was raise the roof. Dosn't look as If they lengthened the sleeper to Volvo 780 status or w900 studio sleeper status. So the name comes off as misleading to me. Anyways it just looks like a slightly different version of a 387 is all.

It's an 86" bunk.. it looks bigger in person.. than on camera..
Those super singles tho
Nice looking truck but I still love my FREIGHTLINERS
Thanks for watching, Greg!

For solo, would be AWESOME to have a table with the two seats (seating booth) on each side instead of a lower bunk.
That would be a cool idea! Thanks for watching.
