As someone with a lot of thick, long natural hair, this stylist is a rare find. In my experience, most beauticians don’t want to deal with big long natural hair and they don’t know how apply color and heat without damaging your hair badly. I have given up on beauticians and I do my own hair. Sometimes it takes me two days, but I don’t want to compromise the health of my hair. Btw her color is beautiful! 😍
I feel all of you sistas... At least 3 days. The last time I went to a stylist for color and cut I ended up in the hospital 5 days... I was told all of her products were natural "soy"-based... I'm not allergic to soy!! Ended up cutting it off to about 2 inches. It just started breaking off in my hands. We're back thank God but not quite where we were. Prayerfully it'll all return
I had hair like that when I was a kid. I have had relaxed hair since age 15. Back in the day the hairdresser would put me under the dryer and it would be big and hard. I tried a short natural and had to wash it every day to comb.

Bridgette Tucker, my thoughts are the same as yours. We've been brainwashed for so long to believe that straight & blonde is the standard of beauty. This young lady has hair women wish they had. Her thickness, color, coarse texture, length, and obviously healthy hair are a huge blessing. It's also the evidence of many Black women having absolutely no need for hair not growing from their own scalp. All my life, I've had the same hair as hers; was born with it. The only difference is my hair is auburn & lightens naturally when blow dried and/or sun exposed. To each his own, but I'd much rather see this young lady make use of the naturally gorgeous, God-given hair she was born with. She's quite lovely just as she is, hair & all. If she keeps up these featured "techniques," all that thick, long hair will be a thing of the past because it leads to hair loss & damage over time. Perhaps flat iron once in a while, but the less chemicals, the better.

I have 2 Cousins (they're sisters 45 & 47 y.o.) w/hair like that😍. They've never had Relaxers, but they've Colored it & get this - never used any oil on their scalp/hair other than 🫒 Olive oil. I have Alopecia, We tease each other & say they got our Grandmother's hair, I got her Nose & Cheekbones 😅.

I know we are focused on her A-MAZ-ING hair but I must say - this woman won the genetic lotto in so many ways! That SMILE is a million watts bright! Just beautiful. I go to a salon I love and maybe my favorite part is the woman who washes my hair. She is careful, thorough and takes her time. I was transported back to my childhood kitchen where my mom washed my hair. I cried a few tears the first time (going through a lot) and she got so upset. She isn’t confident in her English so it required some help for her to understand I was grateful not upset! My Caucasian hair is crazy thick and coarse so any wrong moves in the shampoo make my hair into a tangled mop. I always tip her separately and well!

I must admit, I was a bit scandalized when you started lifting so much color out of her hair, but what you did here was incredible. I didn't know it could be done. How long will this last her before she has to do it again? Until youtube, I never realized how much work went into maintaining natural hair, and I have a newfound admiration for anyone that does it well. I have a hard time even keeping my hair brushed, let alone styled.

When I tell friends that I spend 5 hours prepping my daughter's hair, from washing, conditioning, blowdrying to cornrows before she goes to the hair dresser to get some extensions in. People are shocked. Yes it takes that long or more if she's not up for it.💪💪💪Up the mother's.

Her hair when done, is just about the length of your models after the trim, but it looks maybe 4-5 inches long in her go to two puff style. Wish we lived near you... Again, excellent work

Beautiful! As a Colorist it's hard for clients to understand how much time it take to create, these multidimensional colors.. the processing Time it takes a double application! Let's not forget treatments after all the chemicals but the good thing is you can make someone's weekly salary on one person! So I love! Beautiful work!

Hello, you can use concentrated apple cider vinegar and dilute it with water to completely eliminate the crust. Beautiful! I love how gentle you were as you separated her very lengthy and thick head of hair always beginning at the ends to untangle and putting the hair in sections. This was so important, but most rush through hair creating damage. I appreciated you doing what will keep her hair healthy and from suffering split ends and extreme tangling! As someone with a lot of thick, long natural hair, this stylist is a rare find. In my experience, most beauticians don’t want to deal with big long natural hair and they don’t know how apply color and heat without damaging your hair badly. I have given up on beauticians and I do my own hair. Sometimes it takes me two days, but I don’t want to compromise the health of my hair. Btw her color is beautiful! 😍

I feel all of you sistas... At least 3 days. The last time I went to a stylist for color and cut I ended up in the hospital 5 days... I was told all of her products were natural "soy"-based... I'm not allergic to soy!! Ended up cutting it off to about 2 inches. It just started breaking off in my hands. We're back thank God but not quite where we were. Prayerfully it'll all return

I had hair like that when I was a kid. I have had relaxed hair since age 15. Back in the day the hairdresser would put me under the dryer and it would be big and hard. I tried a short natural and had to wash it every day to comb.

Bridgette Tucker, my thoughts are the same as yours. We've been brainwashed for so long to believe that straight & blonde is the standard of beauty. This young lady has hair women wish they had. Her thickness, color, coarse texture, length, and obviously healthy hair are a huge blessing. It's also the evidence of many Black women having absolutely no need for hair not growing from their own scalp. All my life, I've had the same hair as hers; was born with it. The only difference is my hair is auburn & lightens naturally when blow dried and/or sun exposed. To each his own, but I'd much rather see this young lady make use of the naturally gorgeous, God-given hair she was born with. She's quite lovely just as she is, hair & all. If she keeps up these featured "techniques," all that thick, long hair will be a thing of the past because it leads to hair loss & damage over time. Perhaps flat iron once in a while, but the less chemicals, the better.

I love how you massage and section parts of the hair when applying the shampoo and most especially the conditioner! Many people do not like, nor know how to care for thick hair.

I love the fact that as your flat ironed her hair you didn’t use big sections of hair which is correct and helps so you don’t have to run the iron more than one pass. Your patience is amazing and a blessing.

I started losing my hair as well when I dated a narcissist for only a year and a 1/2. It was either the stress of being with him or the fact that I was on lithium the whole time I was with him that took my hair out so I understand what you're saying

I know we are focused on her A-MAZ-ING hair but I must say - this woman won the genetic lotto in so many ways! That SMILE is a million watts bright! Just beautiful. I go to a salon I love and maybe my favorite part is the woman who washes my hair. She is careful, thorough and takes her time. I was transported back to my childhood kitchen where my mom washed my hair. I cried a few tears the first time (going through a lot) and she got so upset. She isn’t confident in her English so it required some help for her to understand I was grateful not upset! My Caucasian hair is crazy thick and coarse so any wrong moves in the shampoo make my hair into a tangled mop. I always tip her separately and well!

I must admit, I was a bit scandalized when you started lifting so much color out of her hair, but what you did here was incredible. I didn't know it could be done. How long will this last her before she has to do it again? Until youtube, I never realized how much work went into maintaining natural hair, and I have a newfound admiration for anyone that does it well. I have a hard time even keeping my hair brushed, let alone styled.

When I tell friends that I spend 5 hours prepping my daughter's hair, from washing, conditioning, blowdrying to cornrows before she goes to the hair dresser to get some extensions in. People are shocked. Yes it takes that long or more if she's not up for it.💪💪💪Up the mother's.

Wow! Her hair is beautiful and the stylist did a great job. I wouldn't know what to do with that much hair on my head. I'm approaching forty and just did the big chop after years of wearing locs. A wash and go is all I want to do at this point in my life. 😀

@@jdm6613 Just wanted a change. And locs aren't as low maintenance as a lot of people think. I wanted a hairstyle that's easier to maintain.
The natural dark hair looked lovely on her but the blonde highlights gave her a more mature n sophisticated look. Kudos to u! ✨

Beautiful job! My granddaughter has the tightest curled 4C hair ever! She is also THE MOST, tender headed person ever. Her hair when done, is just about the length of your models after the trim, but it looks maybe 4-5 inches long in her go to two puff style. Wish we lived near you... Again, excellent work

Beautiful! As a Colorist it's hard for clients to understand how much time it take to create, these multidimensional colors.. the processing Time it takes a double application! Let's not forget treatments after all the chemicals but the good thing is you can make someone's weekly salary on one person! So I love! Beautiful work!

Beautiful! I love how gentle you were as you separated her very lengthy and thick head of hair always beginning at the ends to untangle and putting the hair in sections. This was so important, but most rush through hair creating damage. I appreciated you doing what will keep her hair healthy and from suffering split ends and extreme tangling! You never ripped her hair apart. Reminds me of my super great stylist/husband, Tim, who understood his craft and never ceased to amaze me. Thanks for the soothing music as well. Awesome video!
