@@FredtheDorfDorfman1985why don't we write him in exwitter with this? May i ask everybody who read those message to write Hans Zimmer about this instrument that needed to be in Duna soundtrack.
This is what it sounds like on my planet. I'm not from here 😭😭😭😭 We have an etheric electrical grid fused to our spire biology with metallic coils. It is miraculous and it is heaven to me. Listening to this gives me peace like nothing else could ever bring light to my life.
Just saw this guy playing the yahabar on a cliff near Fetiye. I was totally emotional gripped! Thank you Gorkem for this beautiful new experience in my life!
I'm devastated by this instrument. It deserves a concerto of some sort with a symphony orchestra! Can't even fully imagine the range of this. It has a massive potential. Keep it up dude!
This is spot-on. We've had unusual concertos for such instruments as the ondes martenot, the theremin, the sitar, the heckelphone (sorta like a long bass oboe) so why not this? It would be an amazing experience.
tumblr says hello- and that they’re very, very passionate about making sure you’re properly credited for your work! thank you for the incredible sounds ^_^
I swear I saw the yay bahar on RUclips back in 2007-08…. I’m so glad that I “rediscover” it every few years. The sounds you are able to create are of another reality. Thank you 🙏
This is beautifully haunting. Truly a unique instrument with huge potential. So alien sounding yet at the same time, almost recognizable. Makes for some hair raising listening. Like a dream being recalled on waking.
I want one, I would make the craziest experimental prog rock with this and this being recorded without any additional effects is incredible and imagine the potential of hooking this up to some effects, like a wah, flanger, univibe, distortion, or reverse delay (don't really need delay as this already does it all by itself, but reverse delay might be interesting) I'm just thinking about all the unrestricted capabilities this thing could have if you hooked it up to some additional effects
This brought me to tears 😢. I'm not even sure why except to say that it was beautiful beyond measure, like listening to the ocean or staring at the Milky Way.
I remember seeing the original series of yaybahar videos years ago, wonderful to see new iterations of the instrument as it evolves. Still sounds as beautiful as ever!
This instrument is utterly enchanting. Thank you for sharing it. Would be wonderful if it could be adopted into more orchestras around the world. Such a terrifying, beautiful, and captivating sound.
This is the music in its purest form. Your experimentation and expression with this instrument is a profoundly beautiful and emotionally vivid thing. Thank you.
This is mesmerizing - both what the instrument can do, and how beautifully you play it! Thank you for your enchanting music. I, too, came here from Tumblr. There are, as of now, 28236 notes this video has (properly embedded) so know that your art is known and respected.
You have inspired me into experimenting with springs as well. I now have a system where I can hook onto almost any bowed instrument and have the similar effect. I believe springs have the potential to be one of the most important steps of evolution of stringed instruments.
Gerçekten harika bir müzik aleti icat etmişsiniz beyefendi. Sizi tebrik ederim. Müziklerinizi dinlerken çok derin ve anlamlı hisler yaşıyor insan. Bence dünyanın en gizemli müziği budur.
HOLY SHOOT MAN! I feel like this is something future generations will study in their history books... "It did not gain a lot of population at first but unknowingly it had started the new revolution of music"
This is art. Enchanting, wonderful. I mostly only understand art in a visual medium but even I can appreciate and understand this. I hope to hear this ethereal, otherworldly sound in a wonderful animated film capturing its feeling one day. The art of personal expression through audio and visual mediums will never cease to amaze me.
Definitely has the perfect sound you'd hear in the soundtrack of movies set in desolate, or desert-y atmospheres like DUNE, and I'm all for it. Love every bit of it, and I'm definitely inspired to try to build my own Yaybahar.
This is so incredibly beautiful, it puts me into a different alien world listening to this. Absolutely amazing. I hope the algorithm will bless you soon and more people will discover you and this amazing instrument.
very late comment but wow what a performance..gave me chills great invention you brought to this world hope you are still doing what you are doing all these years after this video
oh this is fucking sick this sounds absolutely incredible. like this is nuts you could comprise entire movie or game soundtracks out of just this instrument. absolutely gonna have this on loop 4 ambient music while reading
Feels as if you got high on an excellent variety of weed, without the side effects of getting too high. The performance of the player is nothing short of amazing.Very musical and mesmerizing, with many clever harmonic details surprising the listener.Remarkable i strument, player and performance.Awsome!!

Futuristic yet ancient and oriental. This music would sound great in the Dune universe.
OMG, so true 😀 I'm a huge fan of both Dune and Yaybahar. Why I haven't thought about that combination? 😆
Dune is the first thing I thought of when the music started.
Definitely! I wish someone had suggested this to Zimmer when Villeneuve approached him about doing Dune.

The question is: Does the symphony deserve yaybahar?
the natural reverb sound of this thing is insane, sounds like some sort of cavern
Yess sir
The true analog synthesizer master returns.
The most amazing, mysterious and soul touching instrument I've ever had the fortune to listen to.
Thankyou, Gorkem Sen.

This kind of sound would work really well in a horror movie or something set in space or deep water, I think. Really cool invention!!

What a gift, to come upon this moment.
Your music creates such a great and mysterious atmosphere.
It almost seems as if the instrument is speaking and is alive.
I just found an crazed idea on how to add another acoustic effect to the yayhabar Gorkem Sen!, i've sent you an email 😁
We wrote back to you. Please share your results and enjoy.

you just keep improving on it, you could have quit wile you were ahead with the first yaybahar, but you just kept improving it. I respect that so much
So beautiful, I'm blown away. Lonely yet intimate.
Magical!!! The strange, mystical sort of sound fading into a more natural strings sort of sound is awsome!
This need to be played in a concert hall or a cathedral!, man i'm so addicted i want to build myself one and loose my soul within it! 😮
Completely agree with you. Open air in the wild nature also fantastic. Thank you.

Amazing ♥
freaking love this thing
This is so cool!
Oh my God this is so beautiful! Are the springs attached directly to the bridge? As i understand springs are transmitting the vibrations to the frame drums? Sounds crazy rich ❤
No. Directly attached to the string. You can think the spring as a new bridge system between string and drum which is sound source or resonance body.
this is awesome
love this, really brilliant
That carpet looks really comfy!

This is acoustic version of spring reverb + delay with long springs. No electricity. Just membranes works as an acoustic sound source.
This is cool
Gosh, what a beautiful sound. Amazing.
🎶Thank you!
Oho that's some spooky sounds. :D
