Same, I loved playing it as a kid, though I was never able to connect my DS to the internet so I never got to experience the multiplayer except for ai battles.
this game takes way more apm than it looks due to how short the matches are, very hard to get into battling players XD (but this is still a great guide thanks)
Actually, it is not only okay for your enemies to walk on your bridge, it is even viable. Collapse your bridges when your enemies are on it to take them out in numbers, all at once.
Edit: Only the longer bridges. Smaller bridges will more likely just let them through. Another edit, this is just from my personal experience playing the game with my brother. It might be banned or nonviable in competitive.
@@nickdelaney2470 weve banned it in competitive PVP because it made every other special in the game pointless. it made the entire game turn into "who could put out 4 cruisers/hotrods" first and win. while no other specials had this issue
@@nickdelaney2470 those tier lists were from before we played online and are honestly outdated now (as why i am uploading a new one soon) the what makes them OP is that they are the only specials with 70 dps AND splash damage at the same time. if you build 4 of them they can take out nearly any army combination due to haveing the strongest combined splash AOE effect. they can hard counter 4 assault ships and make any catapult teams useless. they also have so many small upsides that make it annoying to deal with. like having the fastest projectile in the game that can shoot over units and trees, being able to fly over water, and being both relatively inexpensive and quick to build when considering its overall power. to quote some else in the discord server: "if you dont build 4 of these specials, you are guaranteed to loose the match, period"
This game was my gateway drug into rts games when I was younger didn't realise there was a competitive scene. Time to study the meta.
