After playing with a top young amateur, and seeing how his hips move starting the backswing, I always knew what I needed to do here. The visualization tips you provided are really good. The belt buckle positioning, and getting the trail hip to go towards the target really helped me make a mini breakthrough. 👍 Your swing really moves forward, and I now use it as a guideline when practicing. Great stuff!
This has been a bit of a game changer for me. Thanks! I do find I struggle with step three on the driver though. I turn my right hip too much and end up coming over the ball.
Glad to hear its helped Josh! If you dont get it sorted send videos in to www.cogornogolf.com so we can see what's going on and help ya fix. As the hips turn the shoulders still need to stay closed relative to those hips in the first half of the downswing to keep the arms in You could add a station like this over the ball to help as well: ruclips.net/video/llgmdwOPxx4/видео.html&pp=ygUTRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIGRyaXZlcg%3D%3D
Eric this is a super 👌 and clear lesson . My golf is getting better because I am taking the time to watch every video that you post and getting a better understanding of what I need to try to achieve .
Very good. There are elements of S&T here. By the way I really like how you incorporate other "concepts" like S&T in your videos sometimes. Many ways to swing a golf club. Only one way to nail it (good impact position).
Nice. I almost stopped after you said FIVE CHECKPOINTS! My biggest issue is falling toward the target while trying to keep my head and upper body back. My biggest swing flaw is getting ahead of the ball. Focusing on the hips might help!
Great video, thanks Eric. Just one point, is there not a danger that if you do not keep your head back during 'the fall' and impact you will move to far forward?
100% to all of this! My lower body (and hips) have been a major focus for me this year, and the results have been very good. Chubbs was right. It's all in the hips. It's all in the hips.
Folks may wake up first thing go hit a coffee... I wake up and first thing seek today's epiphany on this channel!!! Thanks Eric. Everything you have taught me has helped me improve vastly. From 19 I have made it to a 14 h'capper.
I was always told like there is a rope attached to your hip and someone is behind you pulling it then on the downswing they're pulling the left hip. I practice with that thought process and it seems to work well.
Need to make sure you still turn enough toward the target in the downswing and get the hands/arms/clubs working back around you to the left past impact ruclips.net/video/yNIubz71EvI/видео.html
For sure - you look at every pro and pretty much the hips always move first. I am flushing it with my hips and loose wrists - check out Paul Wilson's channel.

Happy this one helped my friend! Thank you for watching!

Love to hear that, Khaleel! Appreciate you watching the channel!
This is so awesome--my problem is I get steep when I feel my right hip up and around me-- but when I do it right- it's awesome!! THANK YOU SO MUCH
Hope it helps!
Great video, Eric. Indeed just what I need. Have been having trouble moving the weight forward. I got it now; now to perfect it.
:)
Great video, the feel of not sliding that trail hip away and initiating a proper turn has improved my ball striking tremendously 🏌🏻♂️.
Thank you! Love it!!

Haha I hear ya sorry if that was too much!

Head SHOULD move forward with irons from top to left arm parallel in downswing then recenter there

Absolutely great and easy to understand.
Thanks Kristjan!

Love to hear that Vasu! Heres to 14---10!!!

I like it if that produces the correct movements!
Good one Eric!
Thanks, Roger!
Do you have a trigger to start the swing? There looks like a subtle leading with the hips before the hands/arms come off the ball
Press off lead foot into trail foot slightly as the club goes back
Another brilliant video, off to video myself !
Hope it helps Andy!
Before even watching this video, I'd like to predict this will be another gem. EDIT - I was correct in thinking that 😂
Lol appreciate ya :)
What ankle are you talking about the right or the left one
Lead
I get good contact and length using these feels but my path goes mental. Like 11 degrees from the inside that result in monster draws/hooks.
Need to make sure you still turn enough toward the target in the downswing and get the hands/arms/clubs working back around you to the left past impact

@@CogornoGolf Thanks! Ill try this on my next range-session! ☺

Love it
This sure makes a lot of swing thoughts..🤪
Sorry if that was too much Scott---my bad
ALGORITHM
Can't wait for AI to tell us all the best way to swing
We'll see :)
Far to complex and that's coming from a 7HCer.
Thanks for the feedback Stephen! Sorry about that!
