@@Sinevibes Yes and a tad bit to Airwindows 🤣 Question is, do they occupy the Master output bus as well?? Lol! Can’t wait to checkout that Performance FX plugin!
Will we need to perform a software update before using the new capabilities of this card? Will software updates in the future update both the 2400 and the card at the same time or will there be separate software releases for each component?
-eagerly checks email for shipping notice- I can't wait to scratch my S2400 lol. Mine has always wobbled ever-so-slightly; I put a guitar pick underneath the left-front foot. Maybe I'll take care of that when I do this kidding. Thanks for sharing! :D
About two years ago I spilled about a mouth full of beer over some of the tactile buttons on the left bottom corner. I immediately turned the S2400 upside down and drained it out. I eventually opened it up and didn’t see any remaining beer inside. However, I noticed a few tactile buttons stick a little. Is there anyway to clean them without damaging them? I can still use the buttons I have to push on them once or twice. 😢
@@ISLAInstruments Do you charge for the fitting of the card to the S2400? Or is it the base price and the Isla combined? Plus do you have to mention you want it installed when buying or will it be done automatically? Cheers.
Considering the unit already has basically zero latency, and the card has processors on board, and the signal flow was specially designed to not have issues like that… I think it’ll be just fine.
@@jonathanelsis8825well thanks for the explanation but I’ll like to see what the users says about it. Speculations wasn’t what I was looking for. But thanks anyway
well, yes and no. 3rd party plugins, as long as they are compiled for ARM/LINUX. (which is kinda close to new apple computers) also, plugins need to be able to make sense on the small display that can only show so many parameters at once.
In all my years of working on computers and electronics I have never once worn one. I’m not saying it’s not best practice, but well.. I said what I said
$549.00 + shipping to EU + customs would cost me nearly as much as I paid for the S2400 itself shipped and cleared as an early customer.. I'm totally out of this deal. Best Luck to Isla Insts., though.
It took me 3 years to "get" the S2400, but now I finally want one. Looking forward to the filter card as well.
seeing that message on the board alone just got me to purchase
Well done thinking ahead about these cards. The upgrade looks as simple as could be. I can't wait for mine!
I got that feeling, too.
Thanks for the video, makes it very straightforward.
Can’t wait to receive this card!!
Sinevibes has entered the chat
Sinevibes has occupied the card 🤩

Should use the free rolling papers to fix that issue. But yes, now none of our units will rock back and forth.
@@jonathanelsis8825 lol it wasn't meant as a jab. I honestly don't think about it, I was just reminded that it's a thing XD
This must mean the cards are going out this month, awesome!

Easy enough to install that what we like!
Can't wait to get mine! Thank you.
This is great, HOWEVER, I am unclear as to what effects come with the card???
More discussion on that on our forum. Http://forum.islainstruments.com
excellent. really really lookin forward to it. machine gona be a unique beast.
Whoa, that's a tiny bit more work than the "pop in the card" plug-and-play I expected, but thumbs up for the video, should be easy thanks to that!
yeah but im excited!!! ;-)
Will you only be able to buy the cards from the website or will dealers like Thomann carry them too?
I cannot wait to get mine!!
thank you sir
I’ve got to know and understand how this runs DSP. Linux VST host?
also inside the box.. some rolling papers!
dope. now lets see it pass the drop test. 😉
You know that line from the film Snatch? Heavy is good. Heavy is reliable. If it does not work you can always hit them with it.
I’m about to break my SP2400 doing this installation 😅
Beautiful guts!
The S2400 DSP Upgrade sounds great.. now where did I leave the wallet?
in El Segundo...
Having trouble logging into the user forum... is there something going on with the website???
Can you get Alex to do a new rendition of “S2400 DSP” to the tune of “S2400 2.0”?
Hmm... pretty simple!
Did any batch ship yet?
Asking because I ordered early...
Vision On Theme FTW :)
Do units coming off the factory line today have these pre-installed?
If you purchase a card, we pre-install it for you, but it is considered a separate purcase to the S2400.

I wonder how is the dsp card handling latency

Also... are these "sold out?" When I went to purchase, it said "available on backorder."
They are available for purchase, they say back order because they are not yet ready to ship.
Let’s do it!
Is this the machine that you can install 3rd party plugins frome waves or izotope?

Anti-static wrist strap maybe? Would be a bit of a tragedy to damage your lovely piece of kit.

Amazing now do a Ensoniq ASR 10 Clone ...
Ahhh… this is not a clone but in the spirit of the sp1200 but definitely not a clone.
A thought for a second Brad was making a sexy lingerie try on haul video. Very disappointed. 😂
