I attempted N-Line test drive to trade my ES but mileage is really a concern, it gave us about 7 to 8 KM where ES milage is about 12 -15 km for my style of driving. Otherwise it loaded with feature , improved handling but felt less headroom space for taller people.
Turbos make sense in highways, and if pushed harder it will return you a less mileage thaan , as the rpm goes higher provided your throttle is smoother you will get a better mileage in the highways. Don't expect a better mileage in cities or heavy traffic
@@sundar-ur3oz because with the tax a diesel n line will only make it more costly , and Hyundai will drop diesel soon , if the hybrid revolution happens and goverment tightens the screws on Diesels
@@sundar-ur3oz as for mileage , turbos are ultra sensitive to slow speed , and mileage improve as the engine runs at higher gear or rpm , turbos are not suited for stop and go traffic , specially the three cylinder ones
I would like to know which engine suits for a hilly area. I am from Ooty n wanna know about dpf issues. My requirements are driving through city and ghat roads.
The thing is if you want to purchase a new car, your choices w.r.t diesel are very limited. If you are okay with a pre-owned car, the Hyundai i20 diesel will suit both your requirements. A turbo-petrol is very susceptible to throttle input and you will get abysmally low fuel efficiency in Ghats. On the contrary, you can go for a Naturally Aspirated engine. I would suggest you not to get a Maruti because it generally has lower safety. If the budget permits, get a Honda Elevate / Verna 1.5 NA / Honda City or Creta Diesel. DPF issue is caused when the Particulate filter is clogged because of buildup of soot/particulates. It happens when you take very short trips (not giving time for auto regeneration) or drive in very high altitudes.
Yes you can trust a ivt , but in hills you have to be pragmatic , as ivt will have that bit of lag , so your driving skill matters , better to use paddle shifters in hills
Nope this is just a jacked up creta , in the way of a stiffer suspension , like the venue N line But still in demanding corners, a taigun does better , if not a elevate for that matter.
