  • Every Bharatanatya student's journey must start with knowing the importance of Namaskara - the salutation to Bhoo devi seeking forgiveness for stepping on her, to their Ishta Devatha for a successful journey in dance, to the Guru whose blessings and guidance will lead one to the right path of knowledge and ultimate bliss and seeking blessings from their elders .
No endevour can begin without obeisance to the Lord of all beginnings, Ganapathi. The students perform to a traditional shloka on Lord Ganesha describing his attributes and seeking light in the darkness.
