Helical knitting - How to handle decreases

  • In this video I show you how to handle colour changes when they occur where you should be working a decrease. This video was made specifically on request!
    Written instructions:
    if there is no colour change you can work your decrease normally.
    if there is a colour change:
    1. knit till the last three stitches of the previous colour as usual. Don't work any decreases
    2. knit a few more stitches with the new colour. I did 6 but it doesn't really matter.
    3. slip backwards to your previous colour making sure not to twist your stitches.
    4. with your previous colour you should now be able to work your decrease normally without any colour changes to get in the way.
