Clearly, The Netherlands and the US have lots of Kelly Clarkson fans. Several here were brave enough to audition with her as a judge. With her range and power, that’s a really tall order. Still, it surprises me a bit that there aren’t more countries represented here, especially since Kelly has such a vast and varied catalog of songs. I think she can sing just about anything in any genre and do it well. 💁🏻♀️ Thanks, my friend, for sharing these small tributes to one of my favorite artists. 💕💕

"Here's the thing --" Gwen's performance ("Since U Been Gone") is one of my favorites because 1) She's a kid doing a great job; 2) She looks like she's having fun performing; and 3) I didn't know that song until I heard her sing it. But this whole compilation is full of good performances. Kelly writes a lot of songs that aren't about typical pop song subjects, and her songs sound like they're difficult to sing well. Good stuff!

this is the reason i thought season 1 was a complete sham. As i was watching it, it was so clear that kelly was going to be the winner. Nobody else was close. I thought it was a recording label sham putting out a fake show to showcase a new artist and get the name and popularity started...then drop the album and promotions.

Those were mercy chair turns for Stephanie Skipper... if I ever saw such improper behavior amongst judges, this was it! Adam turned when he realized no one else was going to do it and then Blake was like "Oh what the hell... I will turn because more than likely she won't be on my team anyway, but at least she will get at least 2 chairs so she won't feel bad" And Kelly didn't want to turn for her own song when she has done it in the past which is dumb and then to thank Adam for turning is just ridiculous. I just don't get it... She's a good singer!
