Personally, I always thought his dad was Bozo the Clown. After all, Willard Scott (an actor for Bozo) was (at least one of) Ronald's creators, so it'd be more of a meta-joke.

Fun fact: MacTonight later became an internet meme, with the appearance of the fan nicknamed "Moon Man" being compared to a KKK member(yes, really...), and the commercial, including the line "Dinner"(mispronounced as Dinnah)becoming a running joke among internet users.
Speaking of food advertisements considered creepy, we won't ever leave out Little Baby's Ice Cream. The commercials they made definitely caused the company to close their doors in 2019, even with Junji Ito, the father of horror manga admitting that these ads were the scariest he's ever seen.
That Little Baby's Ice Cream commercial made me have trouble sleeping when I was little.
Honestly, Little Baby's Ice Cream is so overhyped. It really isn't that disturbing, not then, and not now. It doesn't help that it's constantly brought up too.

Something to point out about the Hang in there Jack campaign, the reason they killed off Jack was because at the time this was on air, Jack in the Box was going bankrupt so this campaign was a pretty bold move and it was successful as it saved the company. Also this isn't the first time Jack was killed on screen, back in 1980 they killed him off using dynamite and he wasn't back until 1994

14:01 Quiznos was a sub restaurant like subway. A pepper bar is literally a buffet type area that had all kinds of peppers. Green bell peppers, jalapenos, banana peppers, pickles, etc. Like a salad bar but just peppers. I remember getting a small dipping cup full of pickles and banana peppers

There was a Quiznos in my town for a long time and I never went there and since it's closed now I'm kicking myself for not going there when I had the chance

I remember seeing the kinder joy commercial The Humpty Dumpty ad was creepy by itself but the voice made it even worse the face is true nightmare fuel (this was totally off topic)

i remember pizzahead. i used to make my pizza slices go OH NOOOO!!! whenever i got pizza from anywhere. mostly little ceasers cuz my parents were cheap and little ceasers was right by the video rental spot inside a grocery store. so i'd rent movies while waiting for little ceasers. yes i'm that old.

This isn’t a fast food commercial, but next time you do a commercial related video, there’s a pretty recent Airhead ad where a girl is running from a chainsaw killer, however, she trips and tries to block his chainsaw with her hand, but her hand turns into an Airhead, and she says “I think we’re in an Airhead commercial,” before the scene cuts to the girl with the killer dancing in a field with the killer holding the Airhead strip bar and the girl holding the chainsaw. The ad ends with the girl running at the killer with the chainsaw, before it cuts. I think this is creepy because not only does the chainsaw man look terrifying, and another reason I think this is creepy is because seeing someone so out-of-place in such a cute environment is terrifying.
I love the Jack in the box mascot idk why but I do. And the way I remember the moon guy is by the “I’ll grab your butt cheeks and pull out my willie, stir your asshole like a hot bowl of chilli”

1. The Ronald McDonald bag one has soundbites that was actually used in the video game Undertale for the antagonist Flowey, with the voices being distorted

This was actually the second time Jack was “killed off”. There used to be a creepy Jack in the box at the drive through in the 70s and they had a whole ad campaign around the late 70s or early 80s of blowing up the mascot (literally). The current Jack did a Jack’s Back about ten years after that.

OMG. I was a kid in the eighties, and I LOVED McMoon Man or whatever, and I never would have thought of it again, if not for this vid. Maybe it's because my parents always had a rock band in those days, and I was playing synth by age 5 and guitar at 7. On the OTHER hand, jesus GOD, those Lil Baby spots look like some type of intentionally frightening performance art. I will NEVER try that ice cream. Great ont vid; never seen a LOT of this.

I reckon that late 60s KFC commercial was intentionally freaky for its time; has some "Twilight Zone" vibe to it---maybe trying to appeal to the young LSD crowd without directly saying so, who knows. The original McDonalds clown is just inherently creepy, nothing anyone can do about it. Still, interesting that during such "innocent times", when you could leave your house door unlocked and such, there was already stranger-danger messaging (that the kid apparently ignored). Just a guess, but the Pizza Head campaign might have been an homage to the claymation character "Mr. Bill" from SNL during the late 70s. If so, the violence is already understood as humor.
I was thinking the same about Stranger Danger. Terrible things happened to kids in the sixties. I wasn't born till the eighties, but we all know damn well that the whole "you could leave your door unlocked" thing is nostalgic bullshit: the MANSON MURDERS happened in the sixties ffs. And then, KFC: interesting that you mention LSD because to ME, it looked like MK ULTRA. I think your theory is right, though: "hey, stoned hippies! Look! The Colonel fears authority, too, and look at how trippy this is. Now buy some chicken!"

Those Pizza Face Pizza Hut commercials remind me of when Kenny from South Park used get beat up and killed by people and just random objects such as getting strangled to death by a tetherball rope, and how people thought that those segments of the show were funny AF to them is what I don't get even though it's just a cartoon, it's not a real person, but what if a real person or even a young child was playing tetherball at the playground and they got strangled to death by the rope of the tetherball I wouldn't think that would be funny AF, would you Morbidforfun?❤️😁🤔

There was rhis one commercial from adult swim that always freaked me out when i first saw it as a kid. It was basically these two electrician guys in a van talking and having lunch. One of the men starts choking and then coughs up his food onto the window and slumps in his seat. (I honestly dont know if he died or not) The food is revealed to be Meatwad and the only thing he says is "Sweet". It freaked me out ever since.
