Pixel and friends are adorable. Thank you for mentioning the sale at Aberdeen's Wool. I ordered 2 knitting and 2 crochet bags. I was so pleased with the yarns that I received. Thanks Gary.
Hello Gary . Love the idea with the gloves. You really put a lot of work into your presents . It’s fun to make things for people there are appreciated something crocheted or knitted. The yarn for your next projects are beautiful and the colors. Thank you for showing us you up coming goodies .
Pixel 🐾♥️😅👅. All the pups are adorbs !!! I love the colors of the. willow cowl and your brioche hat too . Always enjoy your videos Gary ! Be well 🧶☮️🎄💫
Hi Berthalutters1615 - I started one of the scarves and I'm not sure about the pattern. So many times it's saying to cut (break) the yarn. I'll keep going though - there's going to be a lot of weaving in of ends.
Cool colors, I used my knitting loom to make a waffle stitch scarf for my snow plow guy he was happy to get that gift, he sead it helps keep him warm, his wife even likes it
Once again your affinity toward green and blue has produced a beautiful piece. That purple section is an unexpected, but beautiful surprise that gives the cowl a pleasant uniqueness! Well done!👍🏻
❤ Beautiful hat and the Paris Toujours shawl looks exciting, not to mention your colour choices😍. Never tried the LB Jeans yarn, but I like denim/washed colours and I have to try to crochet fingerless gloves, so far I've made some knitted ones. Pixel looks so happy among her classmates ❤ Have a nice week Gary ❤
Oh my goodness, Pixel is adorable. ❤ Your creations are beautiful and I really admire your ability to mix colours and textures and come up with something amazing. Take care!
I understand what you mean about connection with yarny people. I live in Florida so it’s warm here most of the time and sweater weather is over before I can get one made. There aren’t many people here to connect with so I appreciate you.
Thanks for the letting me know you're enjoying the channel. I know what you are going through and you're welcomed here to chat as much yarn as you like... LOL!
The Willow cowl is gorgeous! B Guess I'll be adding that one to my after Christmas along with the Clara hat! I haven't knit much this year, so this will be lots of fun. Pixel is darling. Much Love and Happy Holiday to you and your lovely family. 💜🎄
Hi Gary, congratulations on Pixel being graduated. She’s sooo adorable in her cap. Hope y’all are doing well and keeping warm. Have a great rest of the week.
Thanks so much for the message - we are staying warm indoors and Pixel was so cute at her graduation. That darn hat kept on falling off her head - in the end we just let the photos capture the realness!... LOL!
Hi Gary! The colours in the cowl are beautiful and I love the way it lies. Crystal's gloves are lovely - I will be heading over to that tutorial. Pixel is such a gorgeous colour...can you spin dog hair? 😂😂😂
Hi Gary! Love the colors and stitch work on the cowl and beanie, it’s so very nice. I’ve yet to try the jeans yarn but I have been curious about it since it came out, I do love the color of it. Looking forward to seeing the shawl! Pixel is adorable also😊thanks for sharing!
I just love your videos! I know I asked this before but, would you ever consider doing videos showing us how to crochet and knit and how to make what you show us? Please please please. I think your yarnies would love it! And maybe how you got started and who taught you?
Hello Peggy - I'm so happy to read your enthusiasm to learn, but I'm not equipped right now for offering up tutorials. I find time to chat and record these videos for the connection aspect and building this wonderful community. I'm really not ready to teach and I hope that you can understand that. Thank you for asking my friend!
Hi Gary. Your FOs look great. Nice colors. The finger less gloves were a hit. I've yet to make some. I'm working on larger crochet projects besides hats and scarves. I made several of Crystal s Elf Hats which went over well at the craft fair. Have a great day! Congrats to Pixal🐕
Hi Danette - You must be making like crazy right now, as it's craft fare season in full swing. You'll have to let me know what your big hit was for this season.
As always I love your color choices! I am a “Gary Wanna Be”. LOL! I look forward to seeing all your projects! I have used Lion Brand Jeans yarn and made a ruana style garment using all the colors they originally made. I loved it.
Wow Gary, you’re color combinations are gorgeous as usual. Love the cowl and the hat. I’ve never made fingerless gloves because in my part of Texas we wouldn’t get a chance to wear them. I’ve been thinking about making some for my daughters who both go to college in cities that are much colder. You have inspired me to find some yarn and make it happen. Thanks for that! I watched All the light we cannot see and I really liked it, I will say that the non accents kind of threw me off as well. Enjoy the holidays!
You are such a talented knitter. I wish I knew how to knit and make such beautiful projects like yours! The Netflix show you talked about was recommended to me by my daughter. I haven’t watched it yet. I’ll have to try it.
Hi Gary! 🙋 I'm catching up on videos again, I've missed you! 😊 I love the cowl, I think it's cool how it tubes up like that. The hat is beautiful as well. Your color choices are always amazing. I absolutely love the Lion Brand Jeans yarn. I just made a beanie with the vintage (gray) color and it came out beautifully. I do think it's a bit on the thin side for a #4 but it is so darn soft (4.5 for an acrylic) and it worked up great for me. Although I did use a 4.5 mm hook for the beanie. I also used it in a scarf using a 5 mm. The vintage gray is my new favorite yarn. I do have it in stovepipe (heathered black) which I have yet to use. But did notice it is a bit thinner and more loosely plied than the vintage? 🤔 I'll get back to you on that. Can't wait to see your future makes, I do like your color choices for both the shawls. Pixel is such a cutie! Til next time! 🤗💛
Hello Nancy! Thanks so much for letting me know about your experience with LB's Jeans yarn. You're so correct with the softness and the colours are amazing!
Oh! I just love the fingerless gloves. I really need to get better at crochet. I've heard that a lot of people love that Jeans yarn. I've never had the chance to use that yarn. I wonder if it would be less splitty if you knit with it. I agree yarn and yarn related tool sales on Black Friday were not that great. My husband and I watched All The Light We Cannot See. I enjoyed it. The book is on my to read list. Did you know that the girl/woman who played the main character is actually blind. Also, this was her first time in a movie. I watched a short interview that was done with the director and a few of the actors.
Hi Egore, I think what was going on with the LB Jeans Yarn was my single crochet was a tight stitch. I forgot I did a knitted scarf with it and it wasn't splitty at all.
LOVE that cowl!!!! I miight need to add it to the list....like I need more to do. 🙄 I need to up my brioche game, that hat!!! 💕. So funny, Paris de jour is on my to-do list too!!! I think a lot wont be started untll after the first of the year. I NEED to finish my "ghost knitters shawl"
Hi Patti - We may be casting on the Paris Toujous at the same time next year! I also have too many things to finish before the Holidays. I just looked up the Ghost Knitters Shawl - WOW!
I love love love the cowl & beanie!! The gloves came out great. I bought the dark jean and lite jean yarn to make me a shawl, scarf or cowl. Haven't used it yet though. Whohoo it just started snowing (our snow is very late getting here this year) so it's a perfect time to crochet! 🥰
I love your cowl. Id love to make a shawl in the diagonal section of the pattern. Would it be ok to send me just that part of the pattern or do a tutorial please? Sorry for asking but I cant spare a penny what with the massive electric and gas prices and how expensive food has gone. I havnt used my cooker or microwave for over 6 weeks. I love everything you do xxx
Hi honey I may not be able to watch all videos during December because I have so much to do. Not sure it will all get done but I have to try. Just know I will be back I promise.
Hi my friend - thank you for your message. I wish you all the best with getting your projects done and remember to take breaks. I look forward to seeing your comments when you are back. Happy Holidays to you and yours.
I've just remembered I knitted with Jeans yarn from Lion Brand about 2 years ago and it didn't split as much with knitting - but crocheting it tight like the way I did for the gloves meant getting into tighter stitches and it didn't work out that well.
@@urbanyarn I can see how it would be prone to split in very tight stitching. I have been a big fan of this yarn, there is a discontinued color called 'Capri, an amazing blue shade, wish I could find some.
Gary, I don’t know what is happening but your video is speeding mode . . .almost like your in fast forward mode. Are you seeing this on your end? So now that I have time to catch up so happy to see you making the gloves! I’ve been wondering what you were going to make for Christmas this year! Great Idea! Who doesn’t need a pair of fingerless gloves! And oh my! Love, love, love both shawl patterns! And your colors are so warm and inviting!
Hello there - if it’s just the intro (me caking up yarn) - I put that in double time. If past the intro the speed doesn’t show up normal, then it must be your setting. It’s normal speed for me. In the corner of video there’s controls for playback speed. Thank you so kindly for letting me know.
